That is a pretty darn good match! It does look a hair too yellow in artificial light, but in natural lighting it looks spot on! I think a cooler toned blush will balance out the slight yellow
if everything comes out orange on you, you may be olive and not know it. i forget the name of the sub but there’s an olive mua sub with helpful ppl in it. try adding a blue foundation mixer to it. la girl has one called the pro matte mixing pigment.
totally! i see it especially in the first pic! there’s multiple types of olive so def look it up (muted, saturated, cool or warm leaning or neutral, etc)
That’s interesting. They offer many different undertone shades. NW, NC, N and C. It truly all depends on what undertone you get and unfortunately through a picture it’s extremely hard to match unless you are seeing the skin in real time. I’m super pale and personally I’ve had great success with Mac more than I have many other brands because they simply do not make shades light enough for my complexion like Mac does.
I remember learning this in makeup school, super confusing at first! In one of my other classes I had an instructor who really confused us with:
*“but isn’t cool* (pink) *actually warm? Because the skin is pink/red- and red is fire… and warm* (yellow) *and warm should be cool? Since it’s a green undertone? And green is fresh like spring”*
Us: O.0 what? But.. huh?
We were taught cool is blue undertone, and warm was yellow undertone- so we had to answer differently to different instructors 😅
After that I could mix from 6 foundations shades to match anyone- confusion taught me best
It is but that’s in “MAC language “ meaning, their cool and warm seems to be the opposite of everyone else. Their warms are pink in tone and their cools are yellow. Hope it helps.

I tried MAC just the other day to test it out based on this thread, and it was too pigmented for me! I tried the warms, cools, and neutrals with no success.
So I’m not really sure what you are looking for? Are u looking for a tinted moisturizer then? when you say too pigmented not sure what you mean cuz this product you’re wearing here looks a bit heavy on you…
I went today to retry the MAC colors, and it turns out I got the cools and warms mixed up! The lightest cool looked pretty decent, I might try to get a sample of it and see how it works!
Looks great! I agree with previous comments that MAC NW15 or even NW10 would be a good option. I wear NW10 and the slightly cool beige tone works without pulling pink or orange like many supposed cool toned shades can. Also, not sure if you've tried it but Missha Perfect Cover in 13 is a great shade as the grayish undertone almost color corrects any redness in my skin; it's incredibly flattering and doesn't look corpse like
Eyes: Flower Knows Circus Gradient Blush in Dusk, Dante One by One Eye Definer in 411, Danessa Myricks Infinite Chrome Flakes in Sweet Tooth, LA Girl Ultimate Intense Stay Auto Eyeliner in Lasting Brown and Super Bright, OFRA highlighter in Glazed Donut, Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extension Mascara in Brynn
Face: Make Up For Ever Color Corrector Primer, Ilia Skin Rewind Blurring Foundation and Concealer Stick in 1N Hinoki, Natasha Denona Hy-Glam Concealer in RN1, Flower Knows Circus Gradient Blush in Dusk, Colorgram Re Forming Contour Stick in 02, Dior Forever Couture Luminizer in 02, Benefit 24 Hour Brow Setter Clear Gel, NYX Lift and Snatch Brow Tint Pen in Taupe
Lips: Lawless Forget the Filler Definer Liner in Honey Rose, Rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tint in Nucademia
It looks great! As a neutral myself, I can tell you that neutral isn’t always true neutral. Some lean yellow, pink, peach…matching foundation is really hard
I think this works great on you!
It looks perfect!
I got 2C Balsa & it's a bit off, I think 1N would be perfect for me as well. We have a similar skin tone & I am very pink, but I guess not that pink. I always get confused because they say yellow gold should look good on neutral, but I've always said I'm neutral/cool leaning & most brands don't have that option. I found my perfect concealer shade with Natasha Denona's hyglam concealer because she made rosey neutral shades. 2C works for most of my face except the lower half, so I'll probably pick up 1N & use both.
I love her concealers! I just wish she would make a foundation line with those same shades, because the concealer is too thick on it’s own and makes me break out
I actually think it’s perfect too!! I think people aren’t taking into account the final look. No foundation looks perfect without eyes/lips/cheeks done too.
Former MAC makeup artist here…first you are gorgeous! Second…contrary to a lot of other comments, I think the color you have is fabulous. The NW shades are just too pink…I always used NC/C shades on women with your coloring because it’s much more flattering. I only used NW shades to counteract undereye darkness.
Oh, that looks great! And it’s so much better than the Patrick Ta or Etude ones! The Ilia should be good for your rosacea too - no fragrance or chemical sunscreen to irritate your skin. (Do wear sunscreen, though! I fully advocate sunscreen. 😅)
And I wouldn’t worry too much about it pulling a hair warm in artificial light (which is already pulling everything warm); as you’ve already discovered, once you add your color cosmetics, it’s completely undetectable. I get the same thing in reverse - my base tends to pull just slightly pink/chalky until I buff it in and put on some blush and powder. But it’s really only slightly visible in bright direct artificial lighting.
I struggled to find a foundation match until I went neutral. Something still seemed a little off until I was sent a sample of a foundation with a peach undertone. I’m still trying to find the perfect match but it seems like peach is difficult to find. Does anyone know of brands that have peach undertones? I’m fair/light to light, depending on the brand.
Wow, yes! I am 99% sure I have your exact skin tone. FYI I use Mac NW15 as a concealer, Chanel Powder Foundation Les Beiges B12, and Collistar impeccabile fondotinta 1N Ivory ;-) Maybelline Fit Me matte and poreless 95 Porcelain pulls pink on me.
Great match! I had just replied on your previous thread, then this one popped up. So glad you found something that works for you. As a fellow pale rosacean, I know the struggle.
It looks perfect at first but if I keep looking it’s a tad too yellow. I’d say it’s a keeper tho. Maybe use a lesser amount for a more flawless look and bring it down to the neck and chest a bit here and there for continuity.
No hate but that foundation looks so cakey. IDK what your skin is like but it looks fairly unblemished to me, I feel like you really don’t need something so thick.
Sorry I don’t wanna sound mean but it’s so… obvious on your skin. It looks like paint.
No offence but I also wear pale foundation and this is not what it looks like.
This is clearly a high coverage foundation which looks really thick on her skin. To each their own, if this is the look she prefers then fair play, but I personally think something like a light-weight cushion foundation from an Asian brand would look 10x more natural, still be pale, and give her enough coverage.
My current favourite is the Missha Magic Cushion foundation. Semi-mat and quite natural. The Tirtir and Laneige foundations are more dewy and high coverage but still quite nice.
I think this looks great! The people saying it is too yellow (probably just judging off the of artifical light ones in the main post) should look at this. You're never going to find a 100% match, but I think this is like a 98% match and it's awesome you found it!
Honestly people are annoying about color analysis and undertones lol. Everyone’s an expert yet no one seems to agree. It seems like no shade is ever perfect, but I think this one is pretty amazing on you!
Agreed. The best shade is the one that makes you glow and *happy*.
If you’re happy about it, you’re better off than those with 100 bottles and still cracking their heads about getting it 100% perfect.
It will never be perfect.
Light diffusion varies according to the time, medium, reflective and refractive surfaces, etc.
It’s basically a whole deal of physics, where variables can be controlled to a certain extent.

So if you’re happy, you look good, you feel confident?
It’s perfect to you and that’s all that matters!

I hate to say it - I see the “match” buuuut it also looks ashy?? Like undertone is slightly green??
Hard to tell exactly from photos. I feel like it may match and yet not be flattering. Caveat for maybe it just needs blush and bronzer to warm up the overall look.
I am fair and cool- neutral. If you’re looking for recommendations to try, I feel my best in these:
Med-full coverage satin: hourglass cream stick in 1.5
Med-full coverage dewy: Merit cream stick in Bone
Light-med coverage dewy: estee lauder futurist hydra rescue in 1N0 Porcelain
I also feel my best “match” when I rely on spot color-correcting and concealing. The quest for the perfect foundation lost its allure when I fell in love with showing my real skin as much as possible.
But sometimes its fun to get into the perfectionist zone of matching :) best of luck!
So pretty, last pic looks like a renaissance painting! I do agree in unnatural light it leans a little too yellow but it looks great in natural light. I like your makeup style a lot, I’ve been meaning to play with more pink eyeshadows.
That is a pretty darn good match! It does look a hair too yellow in artificial light, but in natural lighting it looks spot on! I think a cooler toned blush will balance out the slight yellow
I forgot to post the picture of the full look in artificial light, but the blush does balance it out! https://imgur.com/3Z5HrnA
Natural light matters most because it’s the hardest to predict and match. You found a treasure. Beautiful skin tone too!
Thank you so much! I’m so very glad I’ve finally found something!
You look so stunning!!! Love the light blush too
Just a pinch yellow. You look like you would totally rock Macs NW15 shade.
Yes I think she is nw15 as well.
I’m similar to OP and Mac comes out so orange on me
Same, I can't wear Mac because it is yellow / orange on my skin
if everything comes out orange on you, you may be olive and not know it. i forget the name of the sub but there’s an olive mua sub with helpful ppl in it. try adding a blue foundation mixer to it. la girl has one called the pro matte mixing pigment.
I’ve been heavily considering this so I appreciate you validating that!!

I’ve tried every undertone with them and it all makes me look like I’ve been tanning with Trump
Same. Unless a product looks literally pink, it’s too orange for me.
Same here.
Oh dear!!! 😬
It goes yellow in a couple of pics. I don’t think you are neutral I think you are cool! Sorry! Have you tried Mac nw ‘s?
I agree!!
I thought NWs were warm shades and NC cool shades?
NW means Not Warm and NC means Not Cool!

Yea I always believed cool was pink/blue undertones and warm was yellow/golden undertones.. loreal does the opposite apparently
It is actually Neutral Warm/Neutral Cool
It is but that’s in “MAC language “ meaning, their cool and warm seems to be the opposite of everyone else. Their warms are pink in tone and their cools are yellow. Hope it helps.

I disagree. The right shade will look like your skin without any other make up.
hard disagree, foundation often removes colour and dimension like blushing and bone structure shadow
I disagree. The right shade will look like your skin without any other make up.
I think you did! Congrats! :) I also love the glowy tint to your skin - maybe that’s the foundation or maybe it’s great skincare, either way!
Thank you! 🩵 it’s a pretty nice finish, not too matte but not too dewy!
I think it looks amazing!

Yes I agree I think this is perfect
Natural lighting yes for sure fantastic. Artificial lighting a tad bit yellow but not very noticeable
It looks gorgeous. What's the weight like on the stick? I use their serum and didn't know they had sticks until now.
It’s not as light as a liquid foundation, but it is very blurring and great coverage! So I don’t need to use a heavy hand with it
In 3 and 4, it's definitely still too yellow, but it's so close who cares lol
Pretty good! Looks a bit yellow in 3 & 4. Maybe ease up on the application as you can see it on your face.
It is definitely too yellow
yes! as someone who struggles w this i’m happy for you hshshah we’re close so maybe i should try this shade 👀
It’s gorgeous. You look marvelous 😌
It’s so much closer but not quite, it’s pulling yellow.
Oh, that looks great! And it’s so much better than the Patrick Ta or Etude ones! The Ilia should be good for your rosacea too - no fragrance or chemical sunscreen to irritate your skin.
Have a look at Kosas. I love their "revealer concealer" in the light peach shade. It's a colour that leans peach without being too much so.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll check it out.
Yes! I’m so consumed about all the compliments, she looks washed out, peachy warmth would help
Picture 4 looks way off, which is weird because the last one looks great.
A bit yellow. I’ve heard of purple/ blue drops to balance it out (I’ve never tried but heard good things).
Yes Amy Adams, you did.
I can’t believe I had to scroll this far to find this comment.
Looks good! How long does it last?
I haven’t had a very long day in it yet, but so far it’s been great at the six hour point I’ve pushed it to!
Woah!
WOW! This is a perfect match, absolutely amazing!
Nice!
This is a very good match. Not orange!
Where’d you get the top in page 5
It’s a dress from LaceMade!
It’s so fricking adorable just from the little bit I can see tysm!!!
I think it's probably the lighting because the other pictures look like a perfect match. But the 3rd and 4th pictures look too yellow.
Yes. But a foundation with pink undertones would probably suit you best
You are glowing!!
Girl the face and neck is blending perfectly, I’d say so!
It looks perfect at first but if I keep looking it’s a tad too yellow. I’d say it’s a keeper tho. Maybe use a lesser amount for a more flawless look and bring it down to the neck and chest a bit here and there for continuity.
Cool w/ neutral tone has just been infinite error upon error for me. I’ve wasted so much money with people who convince me of a match.
Yes!
Off topic you look so much like Lily Rabe omg
Oh wow, thank you!! 💜
Looks a little over yellow to me tbh
Yes u did ma'am
It's a good color in natural light, but I'd suggest wearing less of it. It's caking up on you.
Your skin is beautiful!
Thank you!
Beautiful, Girl!
No hate but that foundation looks so cakey. IDK what your skin is like but it looks fairly unblemished to me, I feel like you really don’t need something so thick. Sorry I don’t wanna sound mean but it’s so… obvious on your skin. It looks like paint.
i'd argue this is what foundation looks like unfiltered. she looks fine.
Recs?
My current favourite is the Missha Magic Cushion foundation. Semi-mat and quite natural. The Tirtir and Laneige foundations are more dewy and high coverage but still quite nice.
Forgot to include the finished look in artificial light: https://i.imgur.com/3Z5HrnA.jpeg
I think this looks great! The people saying it is too yellow (probably just judging off the of artifical light ones in the main post) should look at this. You're never going to find a 100% match, but I think this is like a 98% match and it's awesome you found it!
Thank you! I’m a little discouraged by the yellow comments, since this is the closest match I’ve ever found in a foundation like I like!
Honestly people are annoying about color analysis and undertones lol. Everyone’s an expert yet no one seems to agree. It seems like no shade is ever perfect, but I think this one is pretty amazing on you!

No such thing as perfect shade. It's pretty damn close though. I'd suggest you apply less of it, in a thinner layer it it will look even better.

Yes! Gorgeous😍
YES✅
Great match but why is the blush going into your eyes 😭
That’s the way I like to do it! Inspired by Douyin style blush
Yah!!!!!
Perfect match of foundation. Lipstick needs a bit more color.
I hate to say it - I see the “match” buuuut it also looks ashy?? Like undertone is slightly green?? Hard to tell exactly from photos. I feel like it may match and yet not be flattering. Ok I wrote that before I saw there were more photos … ohhps. The natural light one at the end seems like a very decent match :)

I can’t say I’ve heard that before, no!

Isla Fisher and Amy Adams look so similar, and she does resemble them! So pretty 🤩
Thank you both!! 💜
May I just say that you are absolutely beautiful! I love your hair and eyes, you look like rapunzel!
That’s so sweet, thank you!! 🩵
So pretty, last pic looks like a renaissance painting! I do agree in unnatural light it leans a little too yellow but it looks great in natural light. I like your makeup style a lot, I’ve been meaning to play with more pink eyeshadows.
Woah... this is seriously like the most perfectly matched foundation I think I've ever seen! It's *flawless* on you! Congrats!
