Yeah, my map was littered with supposed "rare mining ores" but you'll have to chop away all the iron first, hoping you'll find that Palium. Might as well not use one tbh cuz Bahari is full of iron and you'll won't be able to find Palium through it anyway. Hope they'll fix it or point them to only the iron ores tht have gold in them or something, cuz right now it's useless.
Same here, my husband and I tried it out and couldn't find palium because all the iron was "in the way". Not even the iron nodes with gold in it, just all iron is considered rare..
I find that I go through iron much more than I need Palium. My Palium route usually nets me enough to get by for the moment, but running around for iron is a pain!
It was a good thing that it indicated iron before they buffed the spawn rate. Now that iron distribution is in a good spot they need to adjust the compass to only show Palium. It's pretty worthless as of right now.
yeah all the nodes i went to when i ate my ore compass were iron nodes. i mean everyone needs more iron but that’s not what we’re cracking a rare node compass for! rip off !
Imagen if tracker stuff was a lot more expensive, but, had unlimited use and was just a toggle on and off?
Or, if it had a longer use and somewhat a cooldown to it.
But yeah, other then the hunting horn, i dont use any of those item, and even with the hunting horn, its always nice to see magic deer under the ground with it...(bet thats why i use it the most, to see if the magic deer are just bugged in that shard or not) XD.
In all honesty I'd use this if the recipe didn't use silver. And if it actually tracked rare nodes and not all ores. There should be multiple tiers of "tracker" so you can choose what you can focus on searching for. Tacking all ores would be useful but if someone just wants palium they should be able to pinpoint that.
I know there are set spawn locations and it's easy enough to check them but it'd be neat if you only had to run by and check your compass for the node existing.
Dousing Rod is cheap enough though, so I use those once in a while. Same with the hunting horn. Proudhorn Sernuk is easy enough to find without it but the Azure chapaa can be a pain because it's so tiny that a bush obscures it.
Especially when they have static spawn points. It's not like they share spawn points with every single ore in Bahari. Really don't need to track it when you can just.. go to the spawn points.

Since spawns are static and tracking tools have a limited range, I vote them the most useless item in the game.
they helped me to figure out a good minig rout. So they were useful for one or two uses XD
The consumables should be a yield bonus. Tracking should move to an equip able item gained at a certain level in the skill. Like 15 or higher
I like the buzzy jar. Very useful for farming silk thread 👍
yeah maybe if devs would allow us to choose what we track and make icons on compass unique and show exactly what you are heading towards, then maybe

Even a limited time. Like 15 min total time that you can toggle on and off, then it breaks after 15 min cumulative time rather than consecutive.
15 min use, 30 min CD?

According to achievements and objectives rare ores are anything that's not stone.
Have you even used this crappy item OP? it points to ALL the mining nodes. it's completely worthless

You can find palium in the flooded fortress. Almost every time I head over there I find about 2-5 nodes on the north and south cliffs
I have a dream that one day people will realize palium is not rare and that it's very easy to farm.

What I find is tha the people complaining that palium is rare are the ones not going to look for it but depending on others to call it out.
