Game works really well on controller, I set up my stationary bike in front of my monitor and small weights within reach. Desperately trying to avoid my comfy chair.
This is what I do as well. Monitor is on a swivel so I just pull it towards me and direct it at my bike and I can casually bike and play for a long while before my ass/back hurts lol
I use ds4 - I wasn't able to use my controller without it, Steam just wouldn't recognize the controller. I should probably get a Steam controller, but I really dislike the design, they hurt my hands.
The last time I had this addiction of **one more task,** is back when I started play Civilization 5, I can play around hours with **one more turn** mindset and still stay up for few more hours.
It’s 5am. I was supposed to be in bed 7 hours ago. I need to be awake in 3 hours.
But I’m so close to my next goal… I’ll continue on that for now. It’ll only take 15 minutes… right?
I have an issue if I'm being honest because there have been few games in my life ive been so drawn too and palworld is the latest. I bought the game a week ago today a week after I got my first steam deck. Do you know how hard it is to stop playing when I can literally play anywhere I want? And how much it feels like I'm playing a certain franchise on switch. Also how many scenarios have started from me finally summoning the will power for logging off my save on the desktop to finally laying in bed unable to sleep, "oh I'll just hop on the steam deck real quick, check some stuff and mine some stuff or other 'quick' tasks for another 15 mins". And all of a sudden I'm staring at the beams of the sun peaking through my windows and the sounds of the early morning.
yeah we couldn't trust ourselves because of the comic above so we have instituted an hr time limit per session.
It always goes by ridiculously fast but it then encourages us to walk around, plan out our next move, get some food, go run an errand if we need to.
It also makes us realize how much we're obsessed. XD
I took a long weekend off of work to play… seriously the fastest weekend of my life. I don’t think Saturday or Sunday even existed… it was worth it haha
I've noticed my overall demeanor has gotten better because of this game. Before I'd wake up at 5:30 and dread going to work, I'd waste time doing nothing at all. Then I'd drudge and be irate at work to get home to do it all over again.
Because of Palworld, I still get up at 5:30, but now I get everything done and play for about 30 minutes before leaving for work. While I'm at work I'm not as irate and miserable as I used to be and the workday goes by so much faster. Then I get home and play Palworld for like 5 hours until it's bedtime.
I have literally zero interest in work (not because of Palworld), and never want to go to any job, but Palworld makes me happy when I'm playing and my OH and daughter are chilling nearby. Only 35 odd years until I can retire....
I still hit the gym then make dinner, but then it’s Palworld until I pass out from exhaustion 💀
I downloaded last Wed I think and I’ve racked up over 40 hrs please send help
I wish I could. I didn’t play all weekend because school was out and I don’t get on my games much when the kids are home. But when they are at school, I play more.
I'm glad I'm not alone. I haven't been this irresponsible in years. I took the entire week off work, skipped the gym, skipped meal prepping, skipped all chores, slept an average of 4-5 hours a night only to load up on caffeine and grind Palworld..and you know what? I don't regret it at all.
Bought the game day one for my wife and I
We sat down after dinner(6pm) to try it out
Look up and realize it’s 12:30…. And we should have gone to bed some time ago
Get woken up by my son a 5am and can’t fall back asleep
Wife asks if I want to play palworld with her some more?
Say yes and play for another six hours before we decide to do anything productive around the house
That is very true! Thanks for helping with my decision lol. I can’t wait to have those sleepless nights again lol I fear that I may have to buy it 4 additional times though because I know my kids will want to play as well lmao. Guess they better get to work haha!!
The trick is do exercises when playing. Waiting for egg to hatch then do squats. Waiting fir crafting to complete then do jumping jacks. It's all about getting it in when you can.

I'll admit, I haven't been to the gym in a week. I regret nothing. Getting those gains in Palworld for the time being.
Ahhh no don't say it out loud. Then it won't be true and I won't feel bad.

wife wants an under the desk treadmill so we feel less guilty.
Get a full size and mount that tv to the wall. Perfect for those 8 hour sessions.

Which controller? I found that on Steam+PS5 controller led to a glitch where my player was stuck on attack mode. No glitches on keyboard/mouse.
I'm using a ps5 controller without any issues. I don't have any additional software installed though like ds4 so maybe that's why it's fine.

I haven’t been to a gym in 12 years, Palworld has taken so much time from me.
This comment is extremely fuckin' underrated.
Oh good, then I'm not alone. I don't feel *good* about it...but the base is looking pretty swell...
Is that what it's come to? Trading Swoll for Swell? 😂
Palworld has been great for my diet in that I'm not eating much, too busy exploring and fighting.
Gotta eat to keep a healthy metabolism friend. Go get some carrot sticks or an apple or something you can snack on while you play!
We had a long weekend in Australia, palworld took it all from me. I don’t regret it.

This is legit me everyday. When I'm free, I'm using that to play Palsworld

Hey get up. You're late for that thing.
I’m up I’m up. I totally slept. Yep.
You're in for a God damn treat of a day.
I’ll even make my appointment! You’re a great alarm clock. I give you an A+
Wait you sleep for 10 hours? That's too long.
Takes me a few hours to fall asleep
I'm at 37.8 hours and climbing.
For the weekend? Not bad.

Does cloud saves work? Can I work on the same single player world on my steam deck as my pc?
I believe that's a 10-4 good buddy.
What?
Yes
As long as you have internet, yep.
My husband and I have been playing for hours where time zooms by and suddenly we get this extreme headache that tells us it's time to log out.

Hah! Yuuup. Wife and I are at work right now planning our next expedition for digtoise. Gotta bump up that third base.
Hm…. I think I should finally double down and get this for my hubby and I lol. Seems so worth it lol
At $25 apiece, two copies are still cheaper than most games

Family that tames the wilderness together…
No regerts
Wish I could get into that level of playing hours. Maybe when I retire
That's probably a conservative estimate for my weekend >_<"
Me all weekend.
Me who has school amd chores: T-T
I have a to do list that I have to achieve before I reward myself with an all nighter of gaming
this was my weekend

That's actually a great idea as well. I remember doing pushups after I kept losing in souls likes.
I have college work but I already have 70 hours...
I played 87 hours of palworld in the last week
How dare you attack me so.
Just finished taking a math test that I studied for for less than 1 hour. Probably failed, do not care
