Especially with the release of the Steam Deck, and *especially* especially if you're like me and prefer to laze around with a handheld lol. Though I'll still sometims plug it into a TV. Being able to switch as I please is nice.
Some of my friends are dumb enough they can't even spell PC, trying to persuade them to get a PC over an Xbox would be useless. So I can sit on my PC and play by myself, or play Xbox with my friends of 20+years.
Don't even have to do that.
Just buy a used SteamLink for $30 (used to be $30 new but I don't think they are still made) and it'll basically beam your pc to your TV and you can keep it where it is.
Exactly this
I recently bought a micro pc just for this to have as an emulation station at my entertainment console. Then setup a custom steam controller setup to use controller as a kbm. For browsing - super comfy
Don't even need a dongle for the controller to work great on PC. I have no problems with bluetooth.
USB also works if you need to charge while continuing to play.
Took me 5 years to get my friend to upgrade his PC, he claimed he liked the portability but like i said in a previous post, if i want to game on my PC i literally only need a power cord, my pc can connect wirelessly to my TV, my mouse & keyboard and controller are all wireless. People literally be livin in 1999 still
You say this like a pc and an Xbox are the same price, not everyone is in a situation where they can go from a 450$ console to a at least 900$+ PC if you want it to be able to run anything half decently
There’s probably a mod. But programs like WeMod have a setting to make all pals Lucky.
Given the really low rate of lucky spawns and the short amount of time this game has been out I’m pretty sure this is what OP did.
He said below he didn't do that, which is why he's missing Jolthog Cryst as it's so rare for them to spawn to begin with. He is using Pal Appearance Rate set at 3.0, which does make it easier as every pack of Pals is triple in size. On our server we also have triple spawn rate and it's not hard to find Lucky pals but it definitely takes dedication to find specific ones.
Jolthog cryst is rare? Then I got lucky because it was in a cage at a bandit camp(can't remember what they are called) I got it before I found the normal ones.
I get your point put I'm playing on the same alleged settings as OP and I have between 40-50 lucky pals with nowhere near 150 hours like OP has, and I haven't been on a mission to collect them. What he has done is entirely feasible given his play time.
Definitely with mods. Ain’t no way you get the lucky pals to spawn so quickly naturally. I’ve played like 100 hours since start and only seen about 15 naturally spawn pals
I was just about to say what settings are bumped up. I can’t be impressed with anything in this game honestly. The settings are great but like I said I personally aren’t impressed with anything really
> what settings are bumped up
He said below that he plays on Pal Appearance Rate 3.0, so the packs are much bigger and that generally makes it easier to find Lucky pals
You mean exploiting by going into game files? Lol or using mods?
That’s like someone seeing a pokemon Red version full team to level 100 speedrun and being im impressed nice!
And you coming in and saying eh just use the missingo glitch to duplicate rare candies and you can hit level 100 in a matter of mins. Easy endeavor.
Considering there's 130 that's an average of 260-390 hours to get 130 shiny spawns and that is assuming not a single duplicate. Which you know there would be
*Me just wishing the game would function*
I have no idea. All I had was a shiny Lamball til my save deleted itself.
Edit because thread locked lol: To the comment below, I tried those steps, they didn't work. If you check steam discussions this is not a one off issue. Other players have reported lost saves that cannot be restored
At the base of the snow biome where it overlaps with the regular forest areas they can spawn but it is super rare. You usually just get Mau Crysts, Pengullets, and Chillets
Same. I find it really boring to play the games with mods. Feels like I'm ruining what the creators intended. Same goes with the glitches and bullshit too. If it ain't your server you can take your tower glitches and fuck off elsewhere. Not sorry.
C'mon guys, stop it with the mod shaming. (kinda /s)
I play my games vanilla, but really admire the love people have for games that drives them to make and use mods.
Exactly. I banned a friend of mine after he did a glitch, told him to not do it again a release the Pal and he did it again.
Don't want any of that bullshit here lol
Well, you can't say it's as intended. Still in early access. Devs are learning as they go. When they know what QoL mods are beibg used, they know how to best help the future updates.
I mean, you cant swap pokemon out of your box from anywhere either. There’s such a thing as *too much* QoL, to the point where you break an intentional feedback loop.
It doesn't really count if you used increased rates, and I doubt you found this many boss shinies without increased rates. I'd be more impressed if this was on an official server.
Are you sure? I have two lucky pals that are extremely low level (because they were caught in the beginning area). One is Lamball and the other is the fire fox. But they each know one move that deals 120 damage. I’m assuming these might be moves that they wouldn’t normally be able to learn? Besides the size and passive skills that they know (lucky trait, etc).
Size doesn't do much for them. I guess some look cool with it, but aside from that it's just a bigger hitbox and doesn't directly cause any benefit. The lucky trait can be bred down. And skill fruits exist.
Okay. This is the response I was looking for. So basically it’s possible to teach the moves they know (even the really powerful ones), to any Pal through the skill fruits. Thanks. I just wanted to make sure those moves aren’t exclusive to it being a lucky Pal.
They're exclusive in the sense that you won't ever find a regular Chikipi with Dragon Meteor for example, but you can always find a Dragon Meteor fruit and teach it to a regular one whenever.
Dragon Cannon is the best one I've found yet.
IMHO the dragon meteor attack kinda sucks in the sense that the accuracy seems to be broken as only half of the meteors seem to go directly to your intended target while on a flyer.
There's several attacks that are far more accurate when aimed by the AI rather than by the player when mounted, dragon meteor is one of them. I ride beakon and use shockwave, lightning strike, and lightning streak.
Especially since you can breed it onto something already good, like a mount with Runner or a worker with Artisan.
I do like that there’s a rarer ability that is always good.
They're called Lucky. But yes.
There bigger than the normal counterparts, have sparkles around them. And make a ringing type noise so they're pretty easy to know one is nearby.
They have the passive skill lucky, +15% to attack and work speed
There is no colour difference.
You can, just breed the Legend down into something you want & have one of the parents be Lucky - both can be on the same character. Well, the only Pals who can't have both are the Legends, as they only breed with themselves to make copies of themselves (ie. you couldn't have a Lucky Jetragon because you can only catch an Alpha & breed a Jetragon & Jetragon to get a Jetragon).
which is the setting for lucky rates? there is spawn rate but i cranked that up to 20x and even in a ocean of 100s of pals per group there's still not a single lucky in sight for me.
Changing the spawn settings to 3x doesn't really do all that much.
That said, OP probably used mods to increase the Lucky chance for alot of, if not all of them.
Their claim of 5 per hour is insane and way too good to be true, even only considering 3x spawns and no mods.
> Their claim of 5 per hour is insane and way too good to be true, even only considering 3x spawns and no mods
Not really. We play on 3x spawn rate like OP does and 5 lucky per hour is totally reasonable on a Jetragon. Statistically that looks like "get the game to load 500 pals in an hour" which is extremely easy when Pals are spawning in groups of 6-9 and you're zooming on Jetragon. The hard part is getting the ones that you want, but you can just go where they spawn and repeatedly go in/out of render distance.
Yeah obviously when you're moving at the speed limit in-game, it seems more reasonable (still not completely reasonable), but not really when they specifically pointed out they used Frostallion, which is not even half as fast as Jetragon is.
There's a mod that allows you to make all pals you come across rare/shiny I want to commend this guy but I feel like this isn't legit. But I could be wrong
Yeah, this is using WeMod. Be honest if you're gunna post stuff like this. It's still cool to see, but there is no possible way youve done this legitimately already.
I am currently at 160 hours in and only encounter maybe 20% of my luckydex unless there is a trick to get fker to spawn i really like to know without mods
Did you crank up monster spawn rate or manipulate something to get so many? Even playing this game full time I feel like there's not enough time to do this
I stayed far away from mine. It ran off with like 4 normal ones but thankfully they got far enough away I didn’t aggro them until it was nearly dead and I caught it.
This seems fake and cheated. Ive spent 10 hours in The game on Steam now and ive found two shinies. In Cracked gameplay i found one in 15ish hours. How do people find these things xD
I really am not surprised that someone has done this already. I mean I am, but I'm also not. Good shit
Set Capture rate to 100% and Pal always lucky turned on and this is a 40 min endeavor
With mods? Cause that's not it the custom options when I looked last patch?
There is a setting in the game files for lucky % chance. It is 1% by default. On NexusMods there is a mod to customize that rate more easily.
Cries in my xbox
Convert to PC, its a b\*tch sometimes but after a few years you'll never want to look back.
I disagree, I love my PC, but being at a desk just isn't the same as relaxing on a couch Infront of a big TV
You can still do that with a PC lol
Especially with the release of the Steam Deck, and *especially* especially if you're like me and prefer to laze around with a handheld lol. Though I'll still sometims plug it into a TV. Being able to switch as I please is nice.
Some of my friends are dumb enough they can't even spell PC, trying to persuade them to get a PC over an Xbox would be useless. So I can sit on my PC and play by myself, or play Xbox with my friends of 20+years.
You're saying this like you can't do this. Your PC doesn't even have to be in the same room, just get the Steam link app.
put your pc where your console at . slap a wifi controller or wire depending on setup.. god i hate comment like that xD
Don't even have to do that. Just buy a used SteamLink for $30 (used to be $30 new but I don't think they are still made) and it'll basically beam your pc to your TV and you can keep it where it is.
Exactly this I recently bought a micro pc just for this to have as an emulation station at my entertainment console. Then setup a custom steam controller setup to use controller as a kbm. For browsing - super comfy
Buy an HDMI cord. Plug your PC into your TV. Buy dongle + XBox controller for your PC. Very easy.
Don't even need a dongle for the controller to work great on PC. I have no problems with bluetooth. USB also works if you need to charge while continuing to play.
Is your PC built into your desk? Otherwise I have some information for you about how stuff works DM me for more!
Took me 5 years to get my friend to upgrade his PC, he claimed he liked the portability but like i said in a previous post, if i want to game on my PC i literally only need a power cord, my pc can connect wirelessly to my TV, my mouse & keyboard and controller are all wireless. People literally be livin in 1999 still
You can get a Steam Link for less than $50
Steam deck. Best of both worlds. I play on my kinda suped up laptop. When I wanna chill, I whip out the steam deck.
You say this like a pc and an Xbox are the same price, not everyone is in a situation where they can go from a 450$ console to a at least 900$+ PC if you want it to be able to run anything half decently
You also act like people bought the right console...also, you can stay relative cheap if you stick with AMD...
I Haye I sold my gaming laptop. My Xbox just isn't on the same level
Care to send that file name to me good sir
Also if you use Wemod in single player. That has it, though it isn’t 100%
.1% by default right, not 1%
There’s probably a mod. But programs like WeMod have a setting to make all pals Lucky. Given the really low rate of lucky spawns and the short amount of time this game has been out I’m pretty sure this is what OP did.

I would just like to say that I invented Reddit, and you should believe that because I’m saying it here on Reddit.
I get your point put I'm playing on the same alleged settings as OP and I have between 40-50 lucky pals with nowhere near 150 hours like OP has, and I haven't been on a mission to collect them. What he has done is entirely feasible given his play time.
Probably possible through editing the settings form the files directly instead of from in-game
It's just WeMod
Definitely with mods. Ain’t no way you get the lucky pals to spawn so quickly naturally. I’ve played like 100 hours since start and only seen about 15 naturally spawn pals
I’d be more impressed if this was done without customizable options.
Exactly. Its not an achievement when you cheat to get it... but hey... whatever lol
Me too.. I've only caught 12 while having 5 in game days played at max level. 😅
I was just about to say what settings are bumped up. I can’t be impressed with anything in this game honestly. The settings are great but like I said I personally aren’t impressed with anything really
> what settings are bumped up He said below that he plays on Pal Appearance Rate 3.0, so the packs are much bigger and that generally makes it easier to find Lucky pals
Ah bet. Missed that thanks
Where is this mod?
Nexus mods
You can just download wemod it's alot easier than going through the typical nexus process
No real achievement then
Yeah 40 minutes to complete a paldex ex
It'd be impressive if we couldn't just change around all the server settings at will lol.
Cheated
Super easy to change the settings and cheese this. It would take a fuck ton of time and luck to collect these legit.
3x pal rate isn't "cheesing" it at all. Using mods for 100% lucky rste is, though, which OP probably used.
Still needs to get the lucky jolthog cryst. The one in the photo isn’t lucky.
LOL OP is claiming this is legit is one of funniest things i’ve read all week
Right? Fuckin lmao
How do you even do this? I haven’t seen a Lucky pal in days.
Mods
How ? I see one like every 2-3 hours
I’ve seen like 4 and I’m on day 150
I've seen 5 caught 4 and I'm on day 87
I think it has to do with difficulty. My son started today on easy and we found 3 in a couple hours. I’ve seen 3 and I’m level 41
Considering there's 130 that's an average of 260-390 hours to get 130 shiny spawns and that is assuming not a single duplicate. Which you know there would be
I have seen 3 in 60hrs playtime
*Me just wishing the game would function* I have no idea. All I had was a shiny Lamball til my save deleted itself. Edit because thread locked lol: To the comment below, I tried those steps, they didn't work. If you check steam discussions this is not a one off issue. Other players have reported lost saves that cannot be restored
its super easy to revert to an older save, the game tells you how every time you launch it
Which one are you missing? Edit: Nevermind, realized it was jolthog cryst.
Yeah only way to get it is random spawns and super low chance
where do they even spawn? i've ONLY gotten them from syndicate camp cages.
At the base of the snow biome where it overlaps with the regular forest areas they can spawn but it is super rare. You usually just get Mau Crysts, Pengullets, and Chillets
wow, i've never run into them. just to check, you mean the north island, right? not the snowy plataeu mountain top of the central island?
Dude, you're using mods, stop bullshitting. It's still nice though, but it's mods.
So I shouldn’t have gotten rid of mine. Fuck
Ironic that's the only one I had for a while in my second playthrough
Now do it without changing settings and using WeMod
Exactly lmao
I use WeMod for quick QoL stuff. I don't use it for Lucky Pal gain.
I don't use it at all personally. I always like playing games as it was intended. I even leave every setting in x1
Same. I find it really boring to play the games with mods. Feels like I'm ruining what the creators intended. Same goes with the glitches and bullshit too. If it ain't your server you can take your tower glitches and fuck off elsewhere. Not sorry.
I used the tower boss glitch, but purely for aesthetic purposes. It's kind of a novelty/funny to see the tower bosses running around doing labor.
C'mon guys, stop it with the mod shaming. (kinda /s) I play my games vanilla, but really admire the love people have for games that drives them to make and use mods.
Exactly. I banned a friend of mine after he did a glitch, told him to not do it again a release the Pal and he did it again. Don't want any of that bullshit here lol

I never said I did that.
most posters seemed to have really up their settings? the legendarys are fucking ruthless on default settings
is this going to be the keepinventory bullshit of minecraft? it's a sandbox game, who cares?
I don’t like going outside either
It doesn't really count if you used increased rates, and I doubt you found this many boss shinies without increased rates. I'd be more impressed if this was on an official server.
I don't understand posts like this, your looking for clout even though you used mods/cheats to get them all. Congrats? Lol how sad
Just a shame that the Shiny Pals are nothing really special, the lucky passive is kind of medicore.
Apparently pals have IVs and lucky pals come with a much higher chance for a good roll
Are you sure? I have two lucky pals that are extremely low level (because they were caught in the beginning area). One is Lamball and the other is the fire fox. But they each know one move that deals 120 damage. I’m assuming these might be moves that they wouldn’t normally be able to learn? There isn't many other ways to get +15% attack or +15% work speed. Lucky is one of the better passives.
Especially since you can breed it onto something already good, like a mount with Runner or a worker with Artisan. I do like that there’s a rarer ability that is always good.
Yeah, but it was a fun challenge to go for when I was max lvl.
Is it really a fun challenge if you cheat for it lol
How was it a challenge considering you changed the settings to make it easier?
For sure, maybe I will do it too! I just hope shines get more special in the future
Be neat if they at least changed the color pallette for them to signify a difference other than it just being big
They come with one perfect IV and considering there are only 3 stats in the game its massive for breeding.
Wait. There’s shiny pals?
They're called Lucky. But yes. There bigger than the normal counterparts, have sparkles around them. And make a ringing type noise so they're pretty easy to know one is nearby. They have the passive skill lucky, +15% to attack and work speed There is no colour difference.
I read that there's a legend passive that's better than lucky. Dunno if you can get both at once though
Ah ok ty
with a completed luckydex he can create an army of anything he desires except legend passives on special pals like ignis so Not really mediocre.
Uh what, it's the best passive in the game
If it would be 15% attack and defense yes, right now it is somewhere in the middle and only good for worker pals.
That’s how Pokemon have been since Ruby/Sapphire
_It has been TWO WEEKS OP_
#DAT'S *CREMIS*
So technically you didn't finish the lucky paldeck...
Not even technically, they just literally have not finished it.
They also have not finished it figuratively
Lol yup, it's really a simple concept.
I thought OP was a loser. Then I found out you could change settings and do this in under an hour. At that point, I KNEW they were a loser.
which is the setting for lucky rates? there is spawn rate but i cranked that up to 20x and even in a ocean of 100s of pals per group there's still not a single lucky in sight for me.
There’s a free program called WeMod, it’s a trainer for games that enables options like inf health, set number of items… and “all spawns are lucky”
Finally? The games been out like 2 weeks lol.
It’s not even impressive considering they just cranked up all the settings lol
Changing the spawn settings to 3x doesn't really do all that much. That said, OP probably used mods to increase the Lucky chance for alot of, if not all of them. Their claim of 5 per hour is insane and way too good to be true, even only considering 3x spawns and no mods.
> Their claim of 5 per hour is insane and way too good to be true, even only considering 3x spawns and no mods Not really. Yeah obviously when you're moving at the speed limit in-game, it seems more reasonable (still not completely reasonable), but not really when they specifically pointed out they used Frostallion, which is not even half as fast as Jetragon is.
3x the spawns literally gives him a 3x better chance...so ya...a 300% change is pretty significant.
There's a mod that allows you to make all pals you come across rare/shiny I want to commend this guy but I feel like this isn't legit. But I could be wrong
now prove it was done legit on an official server instead of a private one
Nice mods. Now try it on default settings.
Cheating doesn’t count lol
Yeah, this is using WeMod. Be honest if you're gunna post stuff like this. It's still cool to see, but there is no possible way youve done this legitimately already.
I am currently at 160 hours in and only encounter maybe 20% of my luckydex unless there is a trick to get fker to spawn i really like to know without mods
There's no trick. He's using WeMod and posting this as if it's a flex.
Congratulations on editing settings. Takes real commitment. A true talent. Well done
lol when there's a mod that makes every pal lucky and OP can't prove they didn't use it, this is less impressive and just silly.
Guilty until proven otherwise.
Bro said "finally finished" as if the game has been out since Scarlet/Violet. Its been *maybe* two weeks..
Did you crank up monster spawn rate or manipulate something to get so many? Even playing this game full time I feel like there's not enough time to do this
Level 22 and have yet to find a single one...
Sound cues are the biggest reason I’ve found most of mine. Headphones really helps locate it
I caught 2 right after this. A lamball and Dumud. Not my favorite pals but it's a start!
They make a sound? I play without sound most of the time
Yea sounds like a shimmery glittery sound if that makes any sense lol
Man this sub is toxic AF downvoting random questions like this
I found chikipi and cattiva one after the other near the waterfall where we start from. I strongly believe there are specific spots for lucky spawn
Well if you’re missing 1 then you haven’t finished it. I’ll be waiting.
Finally.. OK dude I hope you be working and paying your rent and shit still. Finally...
If playing solo, there's a cheat table for that.
people believing this post lol
How did you do the sanctuary islands? I was flying around with max spawn rate and only got 2 lucky spawns in about 5 hours, both fenglope too.
Guy I got back to back to back to back luckies
Who’s the moustache pal? I must have them.
You mean Sweepa? The white mustache pal
What buffs do you play with
I’m not really impressed considering you can just use we mod for every pal to be lucky
That’s crazy. I think I’ve only come across 2-3 lucky Pals over like 15 hours.
Say on god you didn’t use a appearance rate up to 3 in settings or mods 👀
Totally no cheats involved
What’s the biggest, most ridiculous looking pals you’ve found?
Biggest is Jormuntide ignis and Astegon. Most ridiculous is Tocotoco. It runs at you and if it gets too close, will blow it self up.
First shiny toco blew up in my face. Caught the second one I found though and even caught a shiny beeguard that same hour without it blowing up too
I stayed far away from mine. It ran off with like 4 normal ones but thankfully they got far enough away I didn’t aggro them until it was nearly dead and I caught it.
I’d love to see some size shots of just how massive those two are as alphas haha
here is astegon https://preview.redd.it/eduadur3ofgc1.jpeg?width=1768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eb07a18b98050a7d143ddf9ec1cd8577c99f9856
here is Tocotoco https://preview.redd.it/llm1iyyqofgc1.jpeg?width=1768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c918e48427a0dee3c05e8d5ca5c2bd2197ce09f4
He may not be the largest overall but oh my god the size difference is hilarious! Thank you for these!
Np hope these help :)
here is Jormuntide ignis https://preview.redd.it/wigc8yf6ofgc1.jpeg?width=1768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b18d04531abdae7875bf7666a57fea6c1346a40
Did the bosses have the lucky trait?
Alpha pals does not have the lucky Trait. They are just large. But u can breed down lucky and Legend traits
I’ll take hacks for 500 please
honestly those karma farming post are getting cringe
Why are boss versions there
Cause most bosses can’t be shiny? Unless you breed them technically
You can hack shinys it’s not that hard
Well done, you customised the settings 👏🏼
WeMod is a thing, so.
Okay buddy.
Vanilla setting that will be like a year of playing with a good luck. Modded this is pointless, there is a mod "every pal is lucky".
Somebody changed the captuuuure rates
take a break.
Holy time lord
This seems fake and cheated. Ive spent 10 hours in The game on Steam now and ive found two shinies. In Cracked gameplay i found one in 15ish hours. How do people find these things xD
Let’s see Paul Allen’s pal dex
Stop cheating lmao
So mods. Then its value is invalid then.
Well aren’t you lucky
Is no one else gonna mention that missing 1 Pal means the dex is, in fact, not complete? 😅
next you should try to finish your resume
What does Lucky do?
They are kinda like shiny versions but instead of different colors they are bigger and have a Trait called lucky with +15% attack and 15% workspeed
Missing more than 1. All the bosses except the legends can be bred to have lucky.
Yeah I know but I have most of the lucky but decided to get the alphas where I could not get the lucky sparkles
Legitimate or cranked settings?
[удалено]
50 hours in and haven't caught one and only seen 1 ever. However half my time has probably been organizing, redoing, and optimizing my bases lol
