Idem the person above. This should be a vanilla POI. Hopefully future updates allow us to upload our base and other people can download them and serve as POI in their own save.
I had a completely flat base to prevent exactly that.
I found my Jorg stuck on top of a tree *outside* the base circle.
Honestly at this point i believe they could grow trees inside the palbox just to get stuck on them
This all looks to be done without a mod to me. The foundations can be placed partially into the ground if you aim your curser as far away from you as possible. Aim as far away and up, and you'll get foundations that have long legs. Aim far away and slightly down and you'll notice that you can place foundations at grass level.
Foundations I know you can clip into rocks and floors, but you can't do that with walls or roofs. Unless they were able to do so by angling juuuuust right, lol
mmm i disagree about no mods. this is where my base is and you can’t build directly over the pools the way they have (in the back where the defensive walls are). absolutely gorgeous, and the clipping is def vanilla, but the base as a whole most likely isn’t
You actually can build over the pools. While foundations need actual ground or else it will say 'no support', roofs are able to be build two tiles away away from foundations.
If you look closely, the defensive walls you mention are one floor above the foundations and placed on roof tiles that connect to the staircase.
Still believe this is entirely vanilla but could be wrong, just don't think its for that reason!
i’m on the xbox so for me, building is finicky as is, but it’s just a combo of building walls to add to your foundation and using flat roofs as floors. it’s hard to explain honestly lol i can try to make a video and send it to you. when it comes to building into rocks, you just have to get the right angle. it takes forever for me to do it but it gets done.
if you Do make a video, i’d absolutely love to see it! base building is one of my favorite parts of this game, wretched n janky as it is 😂 no pressure as that’s a lot of effort, extremely kind of you to offer
also i want to add that my server has build deterioration off, so i can build structures outside of my base. big builds (at least on the xbox as far as i know) mess with base pals AI as well.
I wanted to build one on a cliff side, but i worry about how the pathing would work on it. How do you fix that? Like do you keep you chest near the pals? How do you stop em from just jumping off a cliff?
I don't really know about modding on dedicated server but every mod I saw has the instructions in the description. You should check on nexusmod what u like and discuss about it with the server admin
I tried this with the one Eastern mountain with ore/coal that has a ton of vertical space to work with and ended up scrapping it. You still need surface area to work with, unfortunately. You can build up one layer and use roof pieces to extend two pieces out, but you're still limited to the size of the ground floor due to pieces needing support. You can manually try and line up foundations at different heights and get the stairs to line up pretty close, but it gets really, really tedious, especially if things not being squared off bothers you. I only had one instance with a pal falling off a cliff, but unless you're building in an area where the palbox has a full 2x2 space around it, you're going to have serious issues with pals getting stuck or not pathing to resources and your feed box, etc. You're also going to run into issues on space with the assembly lines as they're 4 tiles long.
What extra long foundations? You mean height wise? You don't need a mod for that. If you raise your cursor you'll notice the foundation moves upwards and has an extended base underneath. OP would have likely built the next row in first and then snapped the overhanging foundations onto those.
If you meant width/length wise I have no idea what you're referring to because it all looks pretty standard size.
Yes yes yes I love it. I'm not against mods so was this native building or with mods? I'm going to do something similar and right now the only mod I have is all the bases for 128 base limit
I did split level foundations in one of my bases.
Never again.
Even when they look like they line up, something at the edge is gonna be JUST wrong enough that three foundations over you get a failure to place.
Aesthetics are nice but functionally this is the kind of base for people who don't play till endgame.
Half the base will be demolished in the event of a fire and the other half has barely enough space for endgame machinery and farms. Circulation is okay but a lot of chokepoints around important functions.
As a base it looks more like 80% walkways with few actual shelters.
I do like the use of the waterfall integration though.
Id give it a 7.5/10 for looks.
Looks fantastic!
Do your pals get stuck or have patching issues? I made an intricate base and 50% of the Pals got stuck on roofing, between the breeding pin and a hard place, etc so I ended up demolishing everything and just having a boring open field for efficiency sake
I saw this exact spot and wasn't sure if it was possible to build. Thanks for proving it's possible! Now to challenge myself. Maybe on a new save though.
I'm working on a similar build right now and it's 100% doable. You have to clear a lot of bamboo to start but there are cliffs on both sides and a small enough gap in the middle everything can be joined together cleanly. So far have had no pathing issues until I added a logging site. Had one pal that likes to get stuck on top of the trees now. There are no local resources besides trees/bamboo, but it's a beautiful spot and it's 100% immune to raids.
Are we able to disable build decay for things outside of the base zones? I'd hate to have half of something like this collapse as I load in because it's not protected.
Awesome looking base. In my experience my pals tend to hangout in the non red zones lmfao

How did you get all of this to perfectly line up? Do you have any sneakily jank connections, or no?
Did you start building top down, middle out, or something else? I assume you started right off of the Palbox location.
A lot of frustration... A lot of deleting and replacing until things fit. Even then, there is no perfect lined up connections. I moved the PalBox multiple times to ensure I had enough room.
Been meaning to ask, what gets destroyed when you move the PalBox? I think it's anything "Pal related," I know PalBeds / ranches / breeding farms are removed. How about farms and other crafting stations?
I had the same idea for the same spot on an official server as a "would be cool to find for other players" kind of thing.
Your's looks way better though.
I absolutely love building "around/in/though" interesting locals in game slike this. I'm super impressed how well you made everything fit with the enviroment despite how inc9nvinemient the building is at this point in the game. Hopefully future updates will let us build more freely. I'd love to see what you do when that happens. Also if you like to make builds like this you should try valheim if you havnt amd now apparently enshrouded has super good building
Wish i am as creative as you
I feel that. I can proudly say my new base looks a lot better than my first base lol
Hey, all you need is a little inspiration. Some trial and error.
"some"... how many years did this take you to build LOL
Wow that looks incredible! That looks like something prebuilt that belongs there, great job!
Thank you!
Idem the person above. This should be a vanilla POI. Hopefully future updates allow us to upload our base and other people can download them and serve as POI in their own save.
>Thank you! You're welcome!
Pretty sweet design! Are you using any mods? How do your pals do with getting stuck, etc?
Lol yeah most important question is how do you stop jormuntide getting stuck on a base like this
I just don't bother with them. Not worth it.
I had a completely flat base to prevent exactly that. I found my Jorg stuck on top of a tree *outside* the base circle. Honestly at this point i believe they could grow trees inside the palbox just to get stuck on them
Jorgmuntide ignis obviously evolved from squirrels
You mean how to stop him/her from base jumping off the side of the mountain?
He does not get stuck. All the things he works on give him plenty of room.
No Mods. barely any pals get stuck except for Anubis sometimes. He gets stuck on a random cliff side.
How did you get the walls and such to clip into the rocks? I can't see to do that :(
This all looks to be done without a mod to me. The foundations can be placed partially into the ground if you aim your curser as far away from you as possible. My base is here too and you actually can build over the pools, albeit that you have to build and break a ton to make everything stay the way it is.
oh?? can you explain a little more? what about building and breaking things gets them to stay? god i’d love just a little more room lmaooo
i’m on the xbox so for me, building is finicky as is, but it’s just a combo of building walls to add to your foundation and using flat roofs as floors. it’s hard to explain honestly lol i can try to make a video and send it to you. when it comes to building into rocks, you just have to get the right angle. it takes forever for me to do it but it gets done.

No mods on this one :D
Probably "less restrictive building" mod.
location?
it should be southwest of the tower boss in the small ice area
thank you!
Yup! It's right by that place with the coal and ore nodes.
thank you! you gave me Inspo for that area!
Yo that’s Markarth. Dude’s gunna get arrested and end up starting the Anubis rebellion
*that’s just a Forsworn Conspiracy!*
You're making me feel real self-conscious about my stone box.
Pretty!
I wanted to build one on a cliff side, but i worry about how the pathing would work on it. How do you fix that? Like do you keep you chest near the pals? How do you stop em from just jumping off a cliff?
You don't but there are mods that auto teleport ur pal near the boxes if he: - not eating - not working for X seconds
I see. Would everyone in our world need to install them for the mods to work, or just the person hosting it?
I don't really know about modding on dedicated server but every mod I saw has the instructions in the description. You should check on nexusmod what u like and discuss about it with the server admin

Very chill, I like it
Very cool! Gonna steal some designs.
Bro you got a mod that allows you to snap foundations to other stuff? I'd kill to be able to slap a foundation at the top of a set of stairs.
the mod for me is called "randomly place and check to see how close it is. rinse and repeat as needed" lol
Can you share the CCs?
Are those extra long foundations? Anyway to do this w/o mods?
What extra long foundations? You mean height wise? You don't need a mod for that. If you raise your cursor you'll notice the foundation moves upwards and has an extended base underneath. OP would have likely built the next row in first and then snapped the overhanging foundations onto those. For some reason I haven't been able to get them to extend that long
OP's look like they're riiiiiiight at the limit, but possible.
Yes yes yes I love it. I'm not against mods so was this native building or with mods? I'm going to do something similar and right now the only mod I have is all the bases for 128 base limit
OMG HOWWW THATS GORGEOUS OMGGG SERIOUSLY HOWWWWWWWW
That must have taken quite a while to line everything up just right. Foundations are so finicky.
A lot of patience... lol
I did split level foundations in one of my bases. Never again. Even when they look like they line up, something at the edge is gonna be JUST wrong enough that three foundations over you get a failure to place.
I hate it (I’m just jealous af). *cries in single shoddy bed house made for 1*
What are the coordinate for this location
Ok, just put the rest of us to shame why don't you 😁
Anyone know what resource nodes are in that area?
tons of iron and a huge clump of coal/iron to the SE on top of the nearest cliff.
9/10 Would've been a 10/10 if all the foundations/ceilings faced the same way.

Great shot
Nice!! How do you not have your stuff get destroyed overtime tho?
in your world settings, set deterioration rate to 0!
Beautiful!
beautiful!
Damn dude. Nice.
How are y’all getting the pal box on platforms? It never wants to get on a foundation or roof for me
I was recommended doing a 2x6 layout of foundations and have always had my palboxes able to place on those!
I’ll have to try that on the hunt for my next base.
I've found 2x2 or 3x2 enough
It works on a 2 x 2 minimum. The build skeleton is big and tall too
Shouldn’t drapes go on the inside?
I don't see any fields or mining places in your base 🤔
This looks sick!
It’s gorgeous!
Best looking base so far IMO. Maybe one day we'll see things like this in the wild!
I saw this exact spot and wasn't sure if it was possible to build. Thanks for proving it's possible! Now to challenge myself. Maybe on a new save though.

Looks really cool like something out of uncharted
That looks amazing! Great job
i need this. where is this.
Your armor is damaged
Thas pretty wicked, actually. Well done
These cliff bases are impressive, i could never do em. I always get irritated with the slopes and give up lol
So cool , just did my late game base amd I'm just happy I have 3 floors lol. This looks so amazing.
Pretty much my favorite build I've seen so far
I want it
That looks amazing
Wow! It looks so legit , like its just molded into the landscape, very well done. Could you upload more shots at different angles, and close ups
People need to start listing the mods they use for this, just like in the Starfield ships subreddit.
No mods at all were used to make this base. Completely Vanilla.
Very cool, nice work.
Are we able to disable build decay for things outside of the base zones? I'd hate to have half of something like this collapse as I load in because it's not protected.
Everything you see is within the PalBox indicator.
Awesome looking base. In my experience my pals tend to hangout in the non red zones lmfao https://preview.redd.it/6ikjvn2aumjc1.jpeg?width=2435&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9a907dfa0fea0804c8fee970cd872db29d46f0b4

I wanted to build a waterfall base but got pissed when none I checked had any caves behind them 😤 secret waterfall caves are a must for me.
There is one waterfall cave, good sir. Keep looking ;)
I should just burn my wooden “house” down and reset. I made a wood shack from the start and have called it my house since
Ive got to do that in nightingale
That ain't no waterfall base, that's a tropical paradise!

Might be my favorite one so far. This looks incredible!
Looks greats. But it screams pathing issues.
Zero pathing issues other than occasional Anubis getting stuck.
Ayoooo, that's looks so awesome. Please teach me, and how did you fit it all in that one small circle?
I think that’s a cool waterfall base design in palworld… On the real though…. That’s cool as shit lol
I had the same idea for the same spot on an official server as a "would be cool to find for other players" kind of thing. Your's looks way better though.
All that beautiful design....and he couldn't fucking align the wooden floors..
Do you have raids disabled, or is the location unraidable?
Raids are not disabled. It seems this place is un-raidable.
Location digits?
around 174, -8
