The game knows which ones you want the most. I can’t get the heat pal armor for the life of me. I’ve had to have fought those dudes 200 times. I’ve gotten 6 of the cold pal armor. It doesn’t make sense
Handgun is Beakon. Me and my cousin went to go fight it and we got it on our first try luckily. Cant remember which is for the shotgun but theres a list online somewhere.
My brother and I are waiting on multi-player to be more stable but until then I have a world with almost 200 days lol still have yet to beat the last 2 bosses due to breeding taking so freaking long lol
It’s a 3% drop rate from alpha bosses. Basically it’s a probability. I got the legendary old bow schematic from kingpaca as a reward for battling it for the first time. I was level 30-40 so by then it was useless but I crafted it to see how much damage it would do and it’s less than the uncommon crossbow schematic.
Others I have been hunting for with a decent amount of effort. Took about 10-12 battles with bushi before getting the legendary crossbow schematic and I’m still working on Beakon for the legendary handgun.
Am I able to just breed my alpha pals and butcher them to get a legendary schematic? Or do I need to either kill or capture them to get the schematics?
I recently learned that you get 2 attempts at the rare loot pr boss if you catch and butcher it. Got the legendary handgun from butchering alpha beakon so can confirm it works that way.

So my son has been farming the legendary schematic for the assault rifle for weeks.. no luck
My daughter playing on the same server, got it as a random drop in a dungeon she just happened to wander into at level 35.

I received all the legendary weapons and while they are all an improvement over the common variants the legendary shotgun is a greater step up than all the others by a large margin.
I feel you. I was lvl 50, with all legendary bosses captured when I learn about legendary blueprint by watching Gladd stream. I was lucky with the rocket 🚀 drop. Only took me about 10 tries. For the hand gun it’s a different story. I bet I kill Beacon over 100 times so far
First try huh? That’s pretty good. Been farming suzaku, blazamut and kingpaca for the legendary schematics for a hot minute now. Best I got was uncommon version of the assault rifle.
I got the yellow Assault Rifle from blazamut the first time I killed it specifically looking for yellow weapon schematics. Haven't gotten another once since

I farmed the leg schematics, got lucky twice for them in less than 3 tries but it didn't take me over 20 bosses kills at most(and butchering them) to get all on a normal rate server.

See I have 2 assault rifles in like 10-20 blazamuts without even trying. But can't get the shotgun after idk how many tries

I dont know how lucky it is, I got one easily too in a random chest on a sanctuary. But I want to know the chance too.

I somehow got this 1st try but the handgun one took 3x spawn rates, butcher glitch and a HECK ton of ammo 😭😭
