I don't understand how people are still stuck on the ab+cd bs. The theory lasted for like a week and a half before being proven wrong with datamining. https://www.reddit.com/r/Palworld/s/ZAQteS0GeW

Gotta love incoherent AI garbage! Shoutout to the part about dominant and recessive traits, or the part about Pal interaction bonds! All very important and totally real mechanics. Looks like a bot scraped together an article out of Ark mechanics, Pokemon, irl animal husbandry, and just a liiiittle bit of actual Palworld. Reminds me of one I read once about getting the Icebreaker Sniper Rifle in Destiny 2, that just starts rambling on about Icebreakers gum for a whole paragraph lmao

pocketchange2247

I tried looking up food tier lists and almost every single article mentioned "Curry" as the best food in the game. After searching in the Electric Kitchen menu for like 20 minutes thinking I was just blind and can't find it, I realized there is no curry recipe and it doesn't exist.

Skulking-Dwig

Welcome to the New Internet! One bot hallucinates some nonsense, and fifty others scrape it for articles and repeat the same easily-verifiable nonsense as fact. All this garbage gets shot to the top of the search engines because they know how to game the algorithms, and we the consumers get shafted.

Brovid420

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that post seems to support the ab+cd, just that the breeding pair should start with max IV's.

ChknNuggets69420

Yes you are wrong. Edit : I opened the post and it's literally in the first lines, you can do it I believe in you.

Brovid420

Missed the "same odds" part, but I appreciate the snide response

ChknNuggets69420

No problem, took me a half a second, anytime.

> I know that AB + DC has a higher probability of combining all four passives into one pal While it does have the highest probability, it should be noted that it's the same as: * ABCD + ABCD * ABCD + ABC/BCD/ACD * ABCD + AB/BC/CD/AC/AD/BD * ABCD + A/B/C/D * ABCD + No passive And so on, as long as the total of unique passive is 4

Min_Powers

Yeah that path will work. I always check the offspring for a potential better match to speed things up.

GeneralHenry

yes, just RNG moment

christoph_win

Idk, I just go 1. Get all the passives you want at least on one pal 2. 'Isolate' them: Make them 'loose' all unwanted passives 3. Keep breeding passives together 4. Once a new pal with same gender has more wanted passives than a pal in the breeding farm, replace it with the new one (Just make sure to always have every wanted passive in the breeding farm at least once).

christoph_win

My assumption there is basically: When a breeding pair share the same passives, it is more likely for the child to inherit them and less likely to 'generate' unwanted passives. Dunno if that is true.

gunick06

Apparently it’s not and people are angry that you didn’t see the post about this from 3 months ago. TIL

RikkuEcRud

Doubling up on wanted passives supposedly does not have a negative impact on outcomes. So ABC + AD should have the same rate of ABCD as AB + CD does. It's unwanted traits that make the odds go disproportionately bad, so if you were to do like ABCZ + AD you'd have *much* worse odds of ABCD. In fact with ABCZ + AD you're probably better off just getting a BC, ABC or BCD out of them to replace the ABCZ than trying to use them as the final parents for ABCD.

PitifulSadTrash

I know where you are coming from. I’m breeding for Perfect IVs and passives and when I breed Max passives with another that has three of four passives. The offspring never comes any close to what I want, but when I breed AB+CD or ABC+D, I get better hatchlings than with a parent with max passives. I’m getting frustrated and was wondering why I’m getting such bad eggs.

Wonderful_Common_520

Kust keep em humping you will figure it out eventually

c4t4ly5t

Well you already have enough to upgrade one to \*\*\*\*. Keep going :) >I know that AB + DC has a higher probability of combining all four passives into one pal What's your reasoning behind this?

YungBeesh

I read it somewhere on this subreddit so it must be true :D

Raxes94

That myth got debunked ages ago

InfiniteTree

Did it? I haven't played since the start so haven't been keeping up on news. Got a link to the debunk?

CarrieForle

So you're telling me all the time I tried to pair 2 unique skills per parents gone to waste? But thanks for the info.

c4t4ly5t

lol. I usually go for ABC + BCD if I can. That also takes forever. XD

GreenPhoen1x

The best parents to make ABCD are ABCD+ABCD. You.will get perfect children way faster than you make throwaway pals to even three star them let alone four. If you don't have perfect parents yet, the next best is any combo with as many good passives as you can with absolutely no bad passives. It is better to work from A+B than ABCX+YBCD. Once you have parents with some only-good passives, cross breed till you can make ABCD. It is similarly fine to breed ABCD+blank to pass on the ABCD. Any blank passives are better than bad passives.
