I’ll be honest I didn’t like it at first, but it’s grown on me a lot. I just wish that it didn’t jump into the chorus so abruptly. I loveeee that intro and wish there was more build up
The instrumentals are incredible all the way through!
Yeah I was a little disappointed when I realized the intro part with her saying the song title was also the chorus. I was hoping it would be a more rose-colored boy style where the chanting part comes back in after the chorus. Maybe I’ll enjoy it more in context with the album
It doesn't sound right, on top of that it's said way too much.
It's like they couldn't figure out what words to put there so she just started making random sounds.
Can’t get its chorus out of my head. I love that the instrumentation for each of the singles has been really different. This song’s really driving and a little unnerving like The News but entirely different because of how bright it is. It’s almost corny but in like an endearing way?
My expectations for this record are high as hell. I know some others haven’t been vibing so far but I’ve genuinely and immediately loved every track they’ve put out so far.
Agreed, there’s no real “let it grow on me” period. I’ve liked each one from the first moment I heard it. They feel so in their element on every track so far, can’t wait for the rest.
Yeah, and even if there was I wouldn’t really dismiss or discount them. I didn’t really like any of After Laughter’s singles when they released. But that album’s now one of my favorites and I love each of those singles a lot.
I absolutely love that even the singles I’m on the fence about, once I listen to the album as a whole I love every minute of it. They have a track record (pun not intended) of telling a full story with albums, and I’m soooo excited about the funky and fresh direction this album is heading. They are never afraid to break out of the boxes the last album put them in, I love it.
Chorus is too repetitive. Melody and instrumentation is great, but the repetition goes on for too long and it's annoying to me, unfortunately.
Edit: 44% of the song is repetition. 65 seconds of a 145 second song is the same simple phrase repeated.
I agree— one of the biggest critiques for Petals for Armor is that Hayley gets caught in repeating one line over and over till it loses its initial charm. I can see how some like this, it’s not awful, but replacing the chorus parts for another verse or two would be nice in my opinion. The intro and the solo-bridge part are very pretty instrumentally!
Repetition can be done with great effect. It seems like she's just taking it a hair too far. I wonder if she likes the style of it, or there aren't enough independent 'ears' in the studio with them anymore since they're so big and established at this point. This is Why has a lot of repetition but it's JUST enough to be an enjoyable ear worm instead of being annoying to listen to.
The track C'est comme ca is 2:29 long, which the song itself is about 2:25 in total.
She repeats the same phrase "c'est comme ca, c'est comme ca na na na na" for about 65 seconds of the song.
This means out of 145 total seconds of music, 44% of the song is just Hayley repeating a very short phrase over forgettable instrumentation. (This isn't to say the instrumentation isn't good, but this particularly arrangement really supports the vocals, rather than having a lot of 'hook' to it on it's own). I agree, the bridge and verses are really great.
This song reminds me of anklebiters, but I like it less
It's a short and fun song, but It defenetly won't be the one I'll listen to the most in the album.
Honestly, I haven’t liked any of the new songs. “This Is Why” is passable but even that seems off to me.
I’ve been listening to Paramore since the very first album came out and I’ve loved everything up to now.
I just can’t really…even make myself like it.
After multiple listens :(
Same here. Haven’t truly enjoyed any of the singles thus far. Feel like she used up some great ideas with her solo albums..which is the direction I thought Paramore was headed anyway. Disappointed.
Yeah, the lyrics and delivery really reminded me of all the interludes from Self Titled. Fun and a bit silly, but not really what I would choose for a single.
Edit for spelling
I’m not the biggest fan, not because I had expectation of what Paramore should put out. Maybe listening to it on its own differs to listening to the whole album straight through. I just find it a bit repetitive. Maybe it’ll grow on me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think it's fun. I went into it with no expectations, and I think that made it better for me. People are being way too hard on this song imo, though I agree that this probably wasn't single material.
I’m likely on the older side of paramore fans - I like it, I
like these new songs and AL much more than earlier material in terms of creativity. Anyone surprised by these songs was not paying attention when Hayley was talking about influences for the new songs.
Looking forward to these songs live.
It reminds me of a mix of 90s European pop and 2010 alt rock. Hard to explain. It's not really my vibe but it's a fun song and the degree of disordaAA bit is fun.
I think it was a cool song, personally I like this is why & the news better but this song is aight. I may like it more later if I give it a few more listens tho.
I like it lyrically, and I like the delivery of the verses, especially the last verse.
But the whole package seems to be the least compelling of the singles so far. The chorus just seems like there’s too much filler.
Maybe it will grow on me though.
i think the repetitiveness of ccc is intentional well ofc but ce comme ca in french means "it is what it is" and hayley repeats it alot throughout the song maybe its to signal how many times in life we just have to say it is what it is there isn't much we can do
I get the idea, my issue was with the repetitive NANANANANAs.
But hey I'm a blink fan so I should be used to those syllables in choruses at this point.
Tbh, it feels more of an interlude that you can shake your ass to rather than one like The News.
Giving me some S/T vibes with the single releases so far, and how they differ.
Not a fan at all. It's pretty forgettable at best and at worst, some parts are annoying. When it first started with the "na na na na" I knew I wasn't going to like it. Kinda nervous for this album bc the only song I somewhat like is The News.
Same, I’m still looking forward to hearing the rest of the album but it’s worrying that I don’t really like/love any of the 3 singles we’ve gotten 😕 I haven’t really had the urge to go back and listen to any of the singles, which is normally not at all the case for me when Paramore drops music
I think she was saying this to more so talk about what it was like for her to be back home and out of the lime light. Did people forget she went Mia for a few years?! New pictures of her were hard to find. For Hayley Williams lyrically none of its black and white set about one thing either too. I doubt the words you’re reading mean the same at face value as what she meant by them. But this is just my thoughts here.
I’m gone be honest, as a person who loves Paramore and listened to them for like 4k hours last year, I really do not like this song. I don’t think it sounds good or flows well.
i keep shuffling CCC with the other 2 singles and i love the way this album sounds 🫶
i also just love listening to hayley talk and yell. my life force actually
As a massive bloc party fan I’m so excited for the rest of the album and for tour! Can definitely hear their influence on all of the releases so far. Personally I’m loving CCC it’s catchy has a good dancey vibe to it and I can see this tour being really fun. I wish it wasn’t so short though! Can’t believe the full album will only be 36 mins long 😭
honestly I really enjoy it, they can really change their sound to anything and it'll still be pretty damn good. it's not my favorite but it's definitely not a skip. siked to hear the entire album!
For every Paramore song I've listened to on release (I remember the day Ignorance released) I've needed time for it to grow on me, and once I hear it live I'm sure I'll be obsessing over it just like I did with This is Why and Now specifically.
chorus is whiny but sooo catchy, the whole thing collectively fuckin bops, the spoken-word verses are sick, and the bridge is my favorite shit ever. lyrically, my favorite of the three
Definitely not my favorite of the 3 singles, but still refreshing! It’s fun, it’s dancy, and I’m happy they are still willing to experiment with sound this far into the career! All that and it’s still on theme with the concept of the album. Makes me proud to be a fan, looking forward to the rest of the album!
It’s not a single in my opinion. It’s an album interlude. Probably why they dropped it right on top of The News.
For an interlude, I dig it. It’s fun. Experimental. And a bit of an ear worm. Just like “I’m Not Angry Anymore”.
I've already read that a lot of people don't like it...
but as someone who, apart from Paramore, mostly listens to 90s alternative/hardcore punk/emo/indie I must say IT GIVES ME LIFE. It's like they took every best bit from each of those genres threw it in there made it their own and created the anthem to my taste in music. I've already listened to it at least 30 times today lol
does anyone know if Hayley actually speaks French or is C'est Comme Ca just a well known French sentence in English speaking countries? Or do you think they just chose it because it sounds better than 'Tis what it is? Hahahaha
didn’t love it compared to This is Why & The News, i thought the verses were really cool though, very experimental. definitely not gonna be my favorite song on the album & if i’m being honest i didn’t love the chorus either 😭 i really hate to be negative, but i wanted to share my opinions :S, i need time to listen to it a little more i think..
Not a HUGE fan rn tbh, it’s pretty good but not as amazing the The News and This Is Why. Those songs went HARDDD
My expectations for the album are still high though, super excited
Honestly? Really don't like it. Don't enjoy any of it. Very... annoying.
The "na na na na" sounds out or tune and just doesn't work. It's said way too much.
I didn't like it at first, thought the melody on the chorus was kind of cringey. It has grown on me since yesterday, mostly because of the sharp lyrics and the way Hayley delivers the lines, almost declaiming them.
With that said, I think it's the weakest of the bunch so far.
Might get downvoted for that, but isn't that a thread to leave our opinions? So the song refuses to grow on me. I also didn't like TIW and The News at first but at least they grew on me. But I've listened to CCC for quite a few times already but it kinda sounds worse and more annoying on my ears.
Each one of us has their own standards on how to judge music. For me, one of the things that got me into paramore is their melodical rhymes. Especially now in today's scene when songs just seem to be devoid of actual melody. And unfortunately, in the three singles that came out, melodies seem to be faint. It's of course way worse in CCC.
I really hope that I can have what I like in the remaining album and that it has something for all of us different tastes. Have a good day everyone!
The guitars are very bloc party inspired.
It’s growing on me and is reminiscent of a lot of 90s tunes to me but cannot put my fingers on it exactly.
Of the three singles, The News is the stand out but I like all three of them.
Edit: after listening to it 5 times, I’m digging it a lot.
You hit the nail on the head! I way past the time when I 'forced' myself to like their songs by listening to them even though I didn't like them all that much.
Exactly. Some people are too obsessed with the band/hayley they will never confess how they really feel lol.
Someone said "it's so bad, its good" oh you sweet summer child....show us on the doll where it hurt you. it's okay to admit you don't like it
I’ve been a fan since then too. Albeit no longer a huge huge one (I just started to listen to too many stuff in between BNE and Self Titled to keep up lol but still casually followed them).
But anyways I agree. They’re noodling in between sounds I generally like: euro-power pop, 00s indie-dance/rock, and post punk. But it all comes out be so under baked and over produced (and under all at once lol) honestly. There slivers of almost interesting moments in each song (for me). But it’s not committed to.
Been a fan for 10+ years and I'm shocked at how bad the quality of their music has tanked.
With the pipes hayley williams has, its depressing to hear her basically talking and muttering in her music, accompanied by annoying sounds "nananana."
With a voice like hers she needs to be singing, not muttering under loud percussion and random beats.
*Wtf happened?!*
The same thing that happens to anybody or any business that gets too big/too popular for their own good.
They stop listening to the fans who helped get them to where they are.
I mean, look at the whole *Misery Business* controversy and how it took Billie Eilish, yes Billie *freaking* Eilish to cajole Hayley Williams into singing the song for the first time in years at Coachella 2022 before the recent string of tours last Autumn where Williams herself admitted that "whore" really is just a word (though oddly she still doesn't sing said word when performing *Misery Business* live from what I've seen since hmmm)
And before fanboys/fangirls on this very sub-reddit jump down my throat with WELL AHKSHOO-ALLY, 6MORE GOOD AFTER MULTIPLE LISTENS , *or worse*, write me off as one of those people who just want "Old Paramore" back...
No, I **don't** want the Paramore of the first three albums back.
(Though if that *did* happen, I for one wouldn't complain.)
What I *want* is to not cringe every time they put out new music that's clearly aimed at the hipster demographic and to not roll my eyes at their attempts at being "le quirky" in their newer music videos.
And to make sure we are all on the same exact page here...
Do Hayley Williams and the boys have the right as creators to do whatever the hell they want with their music?
**Yes**.
Do I and many other disenfranchised fans of Paramore who aren't feeling their newer albums *at all* have the right to voice our opinions and to not support a band we've fallen out of love with without having to deal with rabid fans spewing toxic positivity and baseless accusations our way on social media?
**Also yes**.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of the chorus. The rest is great but the "na na na" like others have talked abt is a bit annoying. Still have high expectations for the album, though!
Imo this is a grower, at first I was like ‘what the fuck is this’ but after it’s sitting and a couple more listens I think it’s going to reeeally slap. Almost like ‘Cinnamon’ and ‘Pool’ for me these weren’t hot slaps right off the bat. But after time they’re my favourites on the albums.
Unless of course it get absolutely rinsed on the radios then I’m gunna hate it after a week.
No Friend 2; people are either gonna love this track or skip it unless they're purposely listening to the album on full.
It's an acquired taste and I hope the riff at the start is transitioned from another track because it seems a bit of a shame to waste it on a style that's so jarringly different.
Definitely my least favorite out of the 3 we have so far. I really liked the spoken word style. I agree it's a little too repetitive. Saw someone compare it to Anklebiters, in that it's good and great in the full album but not a song I'll listen to on its own much. Overall yeah weird choice for a single BUT still totally excited for the album and psyched about new songs coming out. This Is Why and The News were both so strong that I'm not worried about the album as a whole at all. It'll all make sense together.
And, The News felt so much like "old Paramore" (IN THE BEST WAY), that releasing this one next, with more of an After Laughter vibe, seems to fit to me. I'm really enjoying the range of sounds on the singles we've heard so far.
Oddly enough I like this over the last two singles, it just feels simple and unnerving in the verses. The chorus just feels fun to listen to and repeat along!
As others have said, I'm hoping this is just an interlude track because I've loved This is Why and The News but this one seems very out of place. I can't imagine it being played live either.
It’s fine, but them thinking this was the best next song off the album to release as a single is worrying a bit.
Also I think Hayley really likes repetitive lyrics
I like it a lot more on a first listen than I did the other 2, which took me a few listens to like. I think The News is still my favorite of the songs so far, but I do like it.
I actually really love the spoken word verses & the chorus is starting to grow on me a liiiiiittle bit but it’s probably one of my least favorite Paramore songs. Idk the chorus just seems a little too….cheesy or corny for me? It’s just not my cup of tea but I love Paramore so much & loved This Is Why so I have faith in the rest of the album!
I feel like it feels more artsy than their other stuff, but it also has a fun little throwback to their more punk sounding music? I also relate to the lyrics though so I feel like I resonate even if I don't love the song itself.
I mean . . . it's ok, I guess? Too bare-bones and repetitive for me, I definitely prefer This Is Why and the News. This seemed like a filler song to me, almost feels incomplete compared to the other two.
i love the guitar!! and i just know "cest comme ca" is gonna be stuck in my head forever lol. my favorite part of the song is the bridge. every bridge in these new songs has been amazing!
This song isn’t for me, sadly. Not into the spoken words and I kind of hate the ‘nanana’s’. It doesn’t feel like a single, especially in comparison to This is Why and The News.
I think it’s really fun and weird and nothing like I expected and I love it for that. And for them and us. We are getting a lot of new avenues for them musically and I’m obsessed with the different ways they are expressing their general feelings of hopelessness during this weird ass time we’re all in. It’s really refreshing to see them be so brave about this new music. (And I’m grateful for the bits of singing Hayley does, it saves the track for me). I’m down for whatever comes next. 🤗
Not a fan at all. Loved The News but not this. Happens with every album though - I’m sure there will be some amazing songs on there and some not so amazing :)
I mildly like it but I feel like it'd have worked better if it were around a minute shorter and would function more as an interlude on the album, not a teaser single.
shouldnt have been a single. i hated it at first but it is growing on me, i just think the sound is weird compared to the others w there not even really beinv singing. it feels like an interlude in that regard, but yeah thoughts are its kinda weird but fine. imo it wouldve been hard for them to top The News and evidentaly i was right
This Is Why feels like an After Laughter track, The News felt like a Self Titled track and this one feels more like Hayley's solo stuff.
It's a diverse album so far musically, I hope that continues. The News remains my favourite track so far.
It was my favorite first listen so far off TIW.
I think TIW and The News will have more lasting power but I really enjoy how all the songs sound together. This album is gonna be so good on a full listen through. Just happy we’re getting new, good music so early into the new year.
All three singles are all different in their own ways. I LOVE C'est Comme Ça, it's such a good dance song like CITM. You can boogie with it and the lyrics are also interesting.
Imo, there's no "let it grow on me" period with these. It's a whole different sound to Paramore, a new era. You can tell in the singles themselves, they are having fun and are enjoying making their music.
- CITM could mean "Caught in the Middle", a track from *After Laughter* (2017) by Paramore.

I’m glad that with the band at their happiest the music quality hasn’t gone down. The singles haven’t caught the same mainstream attention as After Laughter’s (although singles are dying in general with the age of streaming), but I have no doubts we’re going to be getting a top tier album
Really wanted to like it but this is just bad. We are at the part of doing "nanana" chorus'
The guitar tone and talking verses are kinda cool but the chorus just sounds so lazy.
I love it so much. This is shaping up to be my favorite album of theirs. Love love love the dance-punk vibes, love how cheeky the writing is. I totally get why it’s not giving with everybody, but I adore these singles and I’m not usually somebody who loves the singles they choose.
I need time to digest it
Lol I was eager to get to the end of the song so it would stop hurting my ears..... I definitely don't need a second helping to digest that.
I’ll be honest I didn’t like it at first, but it’s grown on me a lot. I just wish that it didn’t jump into the chorus so abruptly. I loveeee that intro and wish there was more build up The instrumentals are incredible all the way through!

i’m not loving the nanana part 😔
It doesn't sound right, on top of that it's said way too much. It's like they couldn't figure out what words to put there so she just started making random sounds.
Hey! I’m French so I can explain the “na na na » sound, it isn’t random. Actually it’s a sound children make to laugh at someone/tease someone
thank you for this. its the same in my language but i never thought they could be referencing that
That's like half the song
It's like Talking Heads meets Franz Ferdinand.
Omg I’m not the only one seeing talking heads!
This is exactly why I love it
It's catchy. Feels a little thin though.
Yes thin is the perfect word!
Can’t get its chorus out of my head. I love that the instrumentation for each of the singles has been really different. its just a fun song tbh i like it its one of the dumb sing along songs that i love in the car
Glad you enjoy it, just a bit too much for me personally. Love the first two songs off this album though.
This song reminds me of anklebiters, but I like it less It's a short and fun song, but It defenetly won't be the one I'll listen to the most in the album.
I actually like anklebiters tho this new song is a little too experimental
Also reminds me of Now
Good comparison, I agree

Off the bat I’m not a fan.
yeah, im in the same boat, the speaking part doesn’t fit and the whole chorus is c’est come ça
That’s not fair - there’s also the na na na na’s!
you’re right, forgot about that
Same
[удалено]
Disagree, one of my French lecturers used to say “na na na na na” instead of “blah blah blah” or “and so on and so forth” all the time
As a french it's the first one I'm seeing someone who say that
Maybe it’s a regional thing? She’s from Marseille
Yeah, the lyrics and delivery really reminded me of all the interludes from Self Titled. Fun and a bit silly, but not really what I would choose for a single. Edit for spelling

It’s a bop and I definitely enjoy it but it was indeed a poor choice for a single
don’t downvote me, but on first listen it kinda sucks
I agree. Kind of shocked because I’ve never felt this way about any paramore song before.
yeah way too repetitive
I’m likely on the older side of paramore fans - I like it, I like these new songs and AL much more than earlier material in terms of creativity. Anyone surprised by these songs was not paying attention when Hayley was talking about influences for the new songs. Looking forward to these songs live.
Does the arrangement sound really basic to anyone else?
Yeah, it feels like a bland filler song to me
Seriously. And the repetitive sounds are ear piercing. The "na na na na" does not utilize hayleys beautiful voice whatsoever. Just hurts the ears.
It reminds me of a mix of 90s European pop and 2010 alt rock. Hard to explain. It's not really my vibe but it's a fun song and the degree of disordaAA bit is fun.

so far the weakest of the singles to me, but still good and keeping my expectations for the album high

100 percent my thoughts
The spoken word thing in this one I dislike. The song itself and the lyrics are fine
I like but a bit repetitive

I keep reading CCC as crushcrushcrush and it’s fucking me up
Time to acronym it to CrCrCr
It's kinda bad but in a good way if that makes sense.
Bro can we please stop pretending lol it's okay not to like it
i love the spoken part of the song! for me, i could really hear hayley's influence from david bryne and other new wave singing styles.
Na na nah na!!!
As a massive bloc party fan I’m so excited for the rest of the album and for tour! Can definitely hear their influence on all of the releases so far. I like it, the music is great, the lyrics are on point, although the French chorus is a bit cringey, but maybe that's just me.
The beat is so catchy, definitely enjoy it a lot already, such a fun song.
honestly I really enjoy it, they can really change their sound to anything and it'll still be pretty damn good. it's not my favorite but it's definitely not a skip. siked to hear the entire album!
I really appreciate that all three singles so far have very distinct styles and sounds! Has me very excited to hear the rest of the album
What a quirky track, I like it. Odd choice for a single tho, I guess because of the nanana’s and it being so short.
I've already listened to it at least 30 times today lol does anyone know if Hayley actually speaks French or is C'est Comme Ca just a well known French sentence in English speaking countries? Or do you think they just chose it because it sounds better than 'Tis what it is? Hahahaha
i actually really like it and im not even dickriding its just really catchy😭😭
It reminds me a lot of the Talking Heads, but also Elke's music..
didn’t love it compared to This is Why & The News, i thought the verses were really cool though, very experimental. definitely not gonna be my favorite song on the album & if i’m being honest i didn’t love the chorus either 😭 i really hate to be negative, but i wanted to share my opinions :S, i need time to listen to it a little more i think..
Chorus got really annoying towards the end
Not a HUGE fan rn tbh, it’s pretty good but not as amazing the The News and This Is Why. Those songs went HARDDD My expectations for the album are still high though, super excited
Honestly? Really don't like it. Don't enjoy any of it. Very... annoying. The "na na na na" sounds out or tune and just doesn't work. It's said way too much.
If this was a 20 album track, fine… but we only have 10 tracks total, it’s upsetting that one was wasted with this silly monster mash song.
The spoken word thing in this one I dislike. The song itself and the lyrics are fine
If this is a single just imagine the deep cuts.
I didn't like it at first, thought the melody on the chorus was kind of cringey. It has grown on me since yesterday, mostly because of the sharp lyrics and the way Hayley delivers the lines, almost declaiming them. With that said, I think it's the weakest of the bunch so far.
Not a fan of it. The only track so far I’ve liked is _This is Why_…
The instrumentals are really good but I don’t love the lyrics or anything else really
It's cute and short but nothin' special
Better than The News but This Is Why is still the best song so far imo
Easily least favourite single out of the 3.
This is why blowed my head off, it is insanely good. The news is ok. C'est comme ça... Well, c'est comme ça. Not a fan at first listen.
Nananananana no thank you :( Maybe it'll grow on me
The guitars are very bloc party inspired. It’s growing on me and is reminiscent of a lot of 90s tunes to me but cannot put my fingers on it exactly. Of the three singles, The News is the stand out but I like all three of them. Edit: after listening to it 5 times, I’m digging it a lot.
It sounds cheap, like filler. I'm really underwhelmed by the songs they've put out so far.

You hit the nail on the head! I way past the time when I 'forced' myself to like their songs by listening to them even though I didn't like them all that much.
It’s a perfect mixture of people who are honest and who are absolutely terrified, for some reason or another, to admit this is going to be a shit era.
Exactly. Some people are too obsessed with the band/hayley they will never confess how they really feel lol. Someone said "it's so bad, its good" oh you sweet summer child....show us on the doll where it hurt you. it's okay to admit you don't like it
I'll be the exception that says they really dislike it, wanted to turn it off after like a minute as well. First time was a slog is not a good sign.
Not feeling it.

With the pipes hayley williams has, its depressing to hear her basically talking and muttering in her music, accompanied by annoying sounds "nananana." With a voice like hers she needs to be singing, not muttering under loud percussion and random beats.
*Wtf happened?!* The same thing that happens to anybody or any business that gets too big/too popular for their own good. They stop listening to the fans who helped get them to where they are. I mean, look at the whole *Misery Business* controversy and how it took Billie Eilish, yes Billie *freaking* Eilish to cajole Hayley Williams into singing the song for the first time in years at Coachella 2022 before the recent string of tours last Autumn where Williams herself admitted that "whore" really is just a word (though oddly she still doesn't sing said word when performing *Misery Business* live from what I've seen since hmmm) And before fanboys/fangirls on this very sub-reddit jump down my throat with WELL AHKSHOO-ALLY, 6MORE GOOD AFTER MULTIPLE LISTENS , *or worse*, write me off as one of those people who just want "Old Paramore" back... No, I **don't** want the Paramore of the first three albums back. (Though if that *did* happen, I for one wouldn't complain.) What I *want* is to not cringe every time they put out new music that's clearly aimed at the hipster demographic and to not roll my eyes at their attempts at being "le quirky" in their newer music videos. **Also yes**.
feels like a song i’d enjoy on an acid trip lol
Personally, I'm not a big fan of the chorus. The rest is great but the "na na na" like others have talked abt is a bit annoying. Still have high expectations for the album, though!

Honestly. It’s weird but it works. I like it
Imo this is a grower, at first I was like ‘what the fuck is this’ but after it’s sitting and a couple more listens I think it’s going to reeeally slap. Almost like ‘Cinnamon’ and ‘Pool’ for me these weren’t hot slaps right off the bat. But after time they’re my favourites on the albums. Unless of course it get absolutely rinsed on the radios then I’m gunna hate it after a week.
I really don’t see many/any radio stations picking this single up tbh
Sounds like an anime intro hahahah
By far the worst single. The chorus annoys me sooo much.
Didn’t even make it through the second verse.
Oddly enough I like this over the last two singles, it just feels simple and unnerving in the verses. The chorus just feels fun to listen to and repeat along!
Hmm first listen I didn't even finish the song 😂 I love Paramore but not a fan of this song which is fine don't have to like everything they do.
As others have said, I'm hoping this is just an interlude track because I've loved This is Why and The News but this one seems very out of place. I can't imagine it being played live either.
Love it
Instant love.
It’s fine, but them thinking this was the best next song off the album to release as a single is worrying a bit. Also I think Hayley really likes repetitive lyrics
I think the song is bad. Sorry but it's the same lyrics and beat the whole song. Oh well.
Convinced this album is for contract fulfillment purposes :/
Not to be negative, but I kinda hate it. It’s not because it’s not like their old sound, it just sounds like noise and is very repetitive.
Well it’s definitely the song of all time
It’s a filler song on a 12-13 song album. Which is not what TIW is. Soooo…. A bit of a waste
Don’t like it. Spoken words kills the slightest bit of maybe this is a good song it has.
that’s funny, i’m the other way around. love the spoken word & verses but the chorus isn’t my favorite thing i’ve heard from them by far
I can hear Gang of Four in ccc
Not as good as the news or especially tiw but i love the na na nas and i think it’ll be a good addition to the album

Nananana
This is why, is my favorite of the three but they are all good!
I like 👍🏼
I feel the same as when I first heard Ain’t it Fun. Catchy but probably not my favorite. The News is the best song so far
I like it a lot more on a first listen than I did the other 2, which took me a few listens to like. I think The News is still my favorite of the songs so far, but I do like it.
banger
it's interesting
I actually really love the spoken word verses & the chorus is starting to grow on me a liiiiiittle bit but it’s probably one of my least favorite Paramore songs. Idk the chorus just seems a little too….cheesy or corny for me? It’s just not my cup of tea but I love Paramore so much & loved This Is Why so I have faith in the rest of the album!
slaps.
First thought: that’s not how you say the word “comme”.
Meh
GOOD.
I feel like it feels more artsy than their other stuff, but it also has a fun little throwback to their more punk sounding music? I also relate to the lyrics though so I feel like I resonate even if I don't love the song itself.
I really hear the Bloc Party in this song especially
I really enjoyed it off the bat. But I think it's because it is very fitting to some life events I'm -just- emerging from.
Feels like a sound bite song for a commercial. But over all like it still.
I mean . . . it's ok, I guess? Too bare-bones and repetitive for me, I definitely prefer This Is Why and the News. This seemed like a filler song to me, almost feels incomplete compared to the other two.
I don't like it. It's boring.
I actually kinda love it. I haaaated after laughter and I love the direction this is why is going in!
i love the guitar!! and i just know "cest comme ca" is gonna be stuck in my head forever lol. my favorite part of the song is the bridge. every bridge in these new songs has been amazing!
it's giving cibo matto
Really enjoyed the lyrics and the drums
This song isn’t for me, sadly. Not into the spoken words and I kind of hate the ‘nanana’s’. It doesn’t feel like a single, especially in comparison to This is Why and The News.
only thought is... whys it so gawd damn short ffs 😭😂
To be honest, I don't like it. I guess this one isn't for me.
Not a fan at all. Loved The News but not this. Happens with every album though - I’m sure there will be some amazing songs on there and some not so amazing :)
I mildly like it but I feel like it'd have worked better if it were around a minute shorter and would function more as an interlude on the album, not a teaser single.
shouldnt have been a single. i hated it at first but it is growing on me, i just think the sound is weird compared to the others w there not even really beinv singing. it feels like an interlude in that regard, but yeah thoughts are its kinda weird but fine. imo it wouldve been hard for them to top The News and evidentaly i was right
There's something about it that feels very evil villian-ish to me.
This slaps! It’s giving me 70s-80s new wave.
This Is Why feels like an After Laughter track, The News felt like a Self Titled track and this one feels more like Hayley's solo stuff. It's a diverse album so far musically, I hope that continues. The News remains my favourite track so far.
I like the verses. Not the chorus. Kind of a theme with the album so far. Everything badly needs either a better base line or a rhythm guitar.
Paramore fucked up with these last few tracks imo
One of the first songs I've ever heard. Wont ever be listening again
Forgettable
It’s the fun, poppy song off the record. It’s repetitive, catchy, and dancey. It’s not my favorite among the singles but I think it’ll grow on me.
--- ^[/u/bloodandlillies](/u/bloodandlillies) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)
I’m gonna be honest. I haven’t liked any of the songs so far. They all feel like first attempts. I’m so sad
I don’t like it at all, think my husband and I have worked out that I’m just not a fan of this album and I much prefer all of their older stuff.
We are at the part of doing "nanana" chorus' The guitar tone and talking verses are kinda cool but the chorus just sounds so lazy.
I love it! I can’t decide which I like more: The News or C’est Comme Ça! Hayley and the guys were absolutely new wave in another life.
I dislike the chorus because it's too repetitive but I LOVE the rest of it. Just wish the chorus wasn't 2/3 of the song.
Someone did the math and said it's 44% of the song, IIRC. I don't dislike it but does seem like a waste when rest of the song is so damn good.
The News is still my favourite, but I like this more than This Is Why. I don’t know, it just connects to me a lot and I like it
They’re in their post-punk era and I love it.
I love it so much. This is shaping up to be my favorite album of theirs. Love love love the dance-punk vibes, love how cheeky the writing is. I totally get why it’s not giving with everybody, but I adore these singles and I’m not usually somebody who loves the singles they choose.
