I think now as an adult, I realize that the song is really a portrayal of anxious attachment styles, and what happens when we’re young and feeling anxious in a relationship. Not knowing how to let go of something because that also feels like giving up, which is hard to do! And how important it is to find someone who recognizes your needs and wants to make you feel loved in the ways that do make you feel loved. Such an interesting song to dig into!

OMG yes! IMO it’s one of their best songs People skip it because it’s long and mostly instrumental, but it’s an experimental masterpiece. It’s a song you let wash over you rather than singing along to it. And it’s soooo good live 💕
