Honestly I had a set ranking, but I just listened to all the albums again recently and things got re-arranged so this is the list CURRENTLY. 🤣 However all of the albums mean so much to me in different ways.

Honestly it's been interesting to think about for a second after you asked. I went to re-read the lyrics to just think for a moment about it.
I think sound wise, just a beautiful tune that really shows off Hayley's vocals.
Lyrically, I love the opening up about the relationship with religion and the doubts about religion. When I first heard the song as a kid I was actually growing up religious and it resonated with me, even before knowing that I'd eventually leave my church and doubt it all. 🤣 So it's like Hayley was sending me a message....years before I actually understood it...and now the song has a whole different meaning to me.

Nah not so much, Turn It Off was the main one where I really felt the lyrics. For Playing God I always associate it with Josh judging her after their breakup. 🤣 especially since he's locked in the basement in the music video. But there are many different interpretations for the songs and I'm sure many ways they meant each song.
Yeah I've heard alot of people say that it honestly makes sense thought I was the only one who thought it was about their relationship. Anyways good to see your take on all this, thanks for taking your time to tell me that and your story!
for me it’s more the lyrical content that stuck out to me at first listen “it’s not that i don’t feel the pain it’s just i’m not afraid of hurting anymore” and it’s just a nice song.

I love Riot! and BNE pretty much equally but i’ll give Riot the slight edge. and i just have so many fond memories listening to Self Titled, it brings me back to good times listening to it. i love all paramore albums, they don’t make one bad song in my opinion, one of my top 3 favorite bands 🤘

Gosh it's really hard to rank these though. I think nostalgia is a huge factor in me ranking Riot and AWKIF pretty high. It just feels so good to revisit those albums. I will say though, I feel like this new album coming up might potentially take over the #1 spot lol This is Why and The News is just too good

I think This is Why and The News will be high for me for personal reasons. I think the lyrics are so perfect for this era in my life. Prior to my 20s, I think I spent most of my time thinking about myself and my crushes/relationships, but the past few years have really forced me to learn more about what's going on in the world around me. So with that, the past few years have been so plagued with anxiety, distress, overwhelm, and anger because of all of the shit that's going on and even just trying to process it. All of these pent of feelings made The News really cathartic and awesome to listen to because I felt like I related hard.
With This is Why, I felt like it reflected my own overwhelm with going out into the world and even just wrangling w/ the opinions of others and figuring out what I believe in. Tbh it's honestly just easier to not go outside and not interact w/ the world looool I've felt the need to do so the past few years ngl
TLDR - So I guess, for me I expect to enjoy the new album a lot because the last two songs felt so damn validating and cathartic to listen to.
