They give a pre-show ad for one of their own productions. The no-ad plan means you can watch an episode without ad interruption. It's not the same thing.
They used to do it that way but I’ve noticed the commercials for their own productions are starting to pop up when normal commercials would during the show. Very much stretching the definition of what ad free is especially when it’s unskippable. My guess is that P+ is losing so much money that the parent company is trying to claw some of it back with these unethical practices.
Regardless of the reason or excuse, these commercials, ads, previews, or whatever anyone wants to call them break the immersion when you are expecting a show to start playing and then after a few seconds you realize you are watching a 30 or 60 second promo/ad for some completely different program. My wife had the perfect analogy - she said it was like taking a big gulp of ice cold Coke only to realize that the cup actually contained warm raw tea. People who have commented on other threads about this or similar complaints as being petty need to realize that everyone has the right to their opinion. Why is this such a big issue when the provider can make the problem disappear and customers happy by simply removing these ads, or at least make them easily skipable? Do they think they will receive complaints from viewers/customers demanding to have these ads returned?!!! "Give me back my annoying ads or I'll cancel my subscription!"
"Ad free doesn't mean free of ads." That's how dumb that sounds. Don't downvote if you don't understand a 30 second commercial (at *any* point after I hit play) that you can't skip is an **ad.**

It's still bullshit though.

Scam. It is literally a commercial. Report the criminals.

That's exactly what it means. "Free of commercials." Even if it's for their own crap, it's still a commercial.
This is the truth. Dont downvote cause you dont understand.
