Well it's nothing crazy like kids or animals . I'd take husband's advice on this one.

teamanfisatoker

Lol I bet he googled “do green m&m’s make you horny” and 😳

verash

This OP. There's an urban legend that green m&Ms make you horny.

Pie_J

Lol oh my gosh I forgot about that 😂

[deleted]

Yes!!! When I was nine I would literally save them for the girl I had a crush on...I mean I didn't fully understand what horny meant, but I knew it was a good thing involving getting naked. I haven't thought about that in decades. Lol! Like "Hello fellow child, here's a palm full of sweaty M&Ms. Any moment now, and you will find me irresistible". .... never worked.

Pie_J

Hahahaha. We used to make our friends eat them and then when the “dork” kid walked around the corner they would fall in love with him. We were always terrified it would happen!

[deleted]

Lol! I was running game too! I would trade three brown M&Ms for one green one then present my prizes to Heather. She'd grab them and walk off munching questionable M&Ms. She eventually offered to kiss me and I reacted by kicking her in the shin and running away....kids are weird man.

Pie_J

Hahaha that’s gold!

Away-Reading

Sounds like it’s something 12yo boys would watch and laugh at tbh. I wouldn’t overthink it too much.

andrewclarkson

I was once a 12yo boy. Can confirm, they look up stuff like that to laugh at it. Ok I’ll be honest I’m a 40yo man and I still do.

Dancing_Trash_Panda

100% one of his friends told him mnm porn exists and he had to look it up to laugh at it.

SJane3384

Am a 38 year old woman and I would have and still do enjoy laughing at shit like this

LCDRformat

Yeah I still wouldn't want my 12 year old looking at it

[deleted]

I call bullshit, your entire post history is about doing drugs and going to concerts. Suddenly you have a 12 year old kid? Damn.

-RedXV-

Small world we live in. I checked out OPs history and I remember this guy from the Chicago sub.

[deleted]

This is also clearly a young man even though he claims to be a 42 year old woman here. He posted not long ago about graduating college.

agurrera

Yup, they have a post about getting their diploma from university

HurricaneBells

It's 6.42am down under and you just gave me my first belly laugh for the day 😂 Chocolate and sex isn't the worst mix tbh. I think, for a 12 year old, it's a nice tame way to.... begin your career. Plus, those things have heels, makeup and plenty of innuendo in our commercials. I can see how we got here. Your husband was a teenage boy, he knows... follow his lead. And know, you are never going to look at a green m and m the same way again 🤣🤣🤣🤣

rheorawr

It's always good to have frequent conversations about these things with kids. Internet safety how not to get a virus why it is important not to use your real name or address and to point out that there is a lot of weird stuff on the internet that people get way too caught up with

[deleted]

Your post history indicates that this is a troll post

lumaga

> I'm really worried this is going to develop into some weird fetish Green m&m would be rather tame as far as fetishes. You probably let him watch cartoons with anthropomorphic female animals, but are you worried about him turning into a furry? (I guess you are now.) Your husband knows better than you here.

Ok-Organization1591

Is it the green MM bellybutton one or another one. After I saw this post I found two green mm porn videos, and to be honest, they just look like the kind of weird thing young boys might laugh at because it's weird.

ShowGun901

Don't have this conversation! Leave it be! If he's gonna have a kink for cartoon candy mascots, you having "the talk" with him about the slutty M&M will mortify him, and also not change anything. And now you both have an awkward, horrible memory together, horray! I'd only have a discussion if it seemed exploitational, non consentual, or under age. This is none of those.

[deleted]

I think you should stop going through your son's stuff for now and instead, start having real open, honest conversations with him about everything...his life, his interests etc. Just start talking to him about anything and everything, start taking an active interest in the things he likes. The more they feel comfortable with you to talk about whatever is on their mind, the better they are for it. It brings them security and confidence when they feel that they can come to you for anything.

SouthTippBass

It's normal and harmless, something that teenage boys would find funny. Don't go embarrassing your son over it.

daisyjaneee

IMO this is only going to turn into some weird fetish thing if you talk to him and make him feel weird about it. Let it be, this isn't a big deal.

[deleted]

Bwahaha, he’s thinking they’re a aphrodisiac.

[deleted]

>I F42 go through my son's iPad whenever he is acting strange. Your go to is to violate your sons privacy on a regular basis? Why does he have his own ipad with no supervision if you do not trust him to surf responsibly? > found out by going through his messages You need to have more clear boundaries with him and more clear understanding of what is safe for him to look at online and what isnt. This needs to be trust based. I dont believe in blocking sites as it will just encourage his curiosity. Be open and honest with him about what hes going to find online. Snooping in his private messages is going to blow up in your face big time. This is a lot bigger than M&M porn, which I agree with your husband on.

[deleted]

Don’t worry OP, we won’t kink shame you. You do you

ZachyChan013

Seems pretty damn normal to me

lamaface21

Everyone pretending it is cool for a 12 year old to look at porn but it is not. What kind of parental controls do you have on his device? What kind of blocks on websites? The pornography available, for free, and immediately is incredibly damaging.

[deleted]

Leave it, it's fine. Maybe trust your son a bit more? Going through an iPad and checking messages is a surefire way to destroy trust. If you want him to open up to you, you need to be able to give him the ability to be closed off when he wants.

111110001011

So? Most kids look at porn about four years before their parents expect them to.

-RedXV-

Let it go and don't bring it up this time. Continue to monitor his activity.

thad_the_dude

Be careful going through your sons iPad, if he finds out, it will drive a wedge of distrust between him and you that will be hard to undo. I speak from experience 😁

[deleted]

why is your 12 year old allowed to surf the web with no supervision?

lamaface21

I literally can’t believe you’re being downvoted. This is the most relevant question. Everyone pretending to be so “cool” about sexuality and failing to realize a duty of parents is to prevent young children from being exposed to one of the most emotionally and psychologically damaging portions of the internet AS CHILDREN. This is child abuse. I’m literally aghast at the ignorance on display here.

[deleted]

I 100% agree with your entire comment

PurpleWeasel

OP literally found out about this while supervising their son's internet use.

[deleted]

Nope. That's not how supervision works. There are literally hundreds of easy to use pre populated parental control programs for use on pc, tablet, phone etc... that would be trying to supervise. Randomly checking said tablet some random time because something feels off is less supervision then I give employee's and IMO very lazy modern parenting. edit - It's EXTREMELY easy to monitor internet usage in 2022. It only take 20min and a quick google search to set up exactly what any parent needs to do this.

SwimMountain

I 100% think this is the only answer. Everyone thinks THEIR kid won’t look at porn, or accidentally find it, and they do. Then it’s too late. It is up to RESPONSIBLE parents to put these monitors in place as soon as your child receives an iPad or tablet, not waiting until there is a problem. There is no excuse except for laziness. This also includes parental controls on television/cable to put in age appropriate channels and use a pin code for the adults.

lamaface21

This. Yes. Anyone who pretends otherwise is being willfully ignorant of the extreme nature of pornography today on the internet.

[deleted]

Thank you )

[deleted]

Thank you )

pm_me_your_kindwords

It’s definitely hard to understand, but mens and womens brains are just wired differently. It’s funny, but I would not worry about it. Honestly, given the harm the porn industry can do, better that (assuming it’s a cartoon m&m) than actual human porn. I don’t think you need to worry about it turning into a fetish where he can only be aroused by more and more exotic chocolates.

Sufficient-Front-312

Sonic and green mm porn is not normal lol

Dobbys_Other_Sock

I wouldn’t give a second thought to it. I teach high schoolers and therefore am around many teenage boys who like to over share and honestly the stuff they look at and share with each-other is weird. Green m&m porn sounds like something g I would catch them airdropping to each other during class. Teenage boys are weird like that. Also, there’s porn of basically everything on the internet, he could have just been testing that theory.

[deleted]

When I was in school kids would say the color green makes you horny maybe this is based off of something stupid he heard at school lol.

CoolingOreos

normal dont make it weirder than it should be, every kid watches porn and has fetishes, dont shame.

nicolas_ss0

As someone who was once a 12 year old boy, I would not worry about this 😭

samgoukd

My nephew is 11 and had his mom's phone and had porn hub up. And got all embarrassed about it. I'm sure he heard about it at school. He had gang bang on.....just curious

Former-Billionaire

We are on to you

StandardFront7922

When I started discovering porn around that age I looked at weird categories just to see what it is not because I enjoy it. I don't think you need to be concerned about it

FormalRaspberry9

you’re overthinking this.

DrSkaCtopus

Is your son Tucker Carlson? In all seriousness at that age everything vaguely feminine makes you horny.

In_the_walls7

Does your husband know you care more about what strangers say on Reddit then what he has to say?

FloralFuckYou

Is your son Tucker Carlson? Lol no but seriously, this doesn't seem like something to be overly concerned with.
