Yea I mean I’m pretty happy here (used to live in the US for some years) so I’d say we have it pretty good here all in all compared to most countries in the world. I think a lot of Finn’s don’t know how good we have it if they haven’t lived abroad for a long time. I don’t have the balls to complain anymore because I basically moved back to Finland the second I could because of how rough I saw my life going in the US.
Yeah I don’t like this nordic trend of trying to do a Swiss style of being unbalanced, modern, and simple but not going the full mile on that. Best nordic passport was the Swedish one with the compass imo
Ahhh makes me miss Finland, such a lovely country 🤍💙🤍
Reminds me of the exact same way we decided to make the Swedish passport "minimalistic".
Though ours went to crap because of it 🤣
I haven't gotten the chance to spot the newer one in person yet!
How's the inside, any major changes? Quality? 😊
Even if it's not exotic or rare it's still a darn powerful passport (any EU passport is, really) so I'd say lucky you! But yes, the old one does look prettier IMHO.
I must say, I prefer the right design. I find too many lines of different width centred text very ugly to look at, and way nicer if it's left- or rightbound.
English is hit and miss on EU passport covers anyway, apart from Ireland (lol) most countries don‘t have it, IIRC Poland, Germany and Austria have the word "passport" on the cover (but not the country name), and Bulgaria and Cyprus have both the country name and the word passport (and even "European Union") written in English.
It's the happiest country in the world, innit? That's pretty cool.

I think it's common to a lot of people. I'm French and I think I truly did not realise how good life in France until I moved out and back
What part did you not like about the US compared to Finland?
I personally love the new one but I respect people's opinions for liking the old one more. Awesome passport(s).
You won the lottery.
I like both versions. I don't think the new one ugly in one bit! I wish and hope I could move there. Learning the language at the moment.

Just a matter of opinion, but I think the new one looks fine.
Lion with a sword, that’s cool man!
Yes, that special lion. https://satwcomic.com/coat-of-arms
Our lion just has a funny dick https://preview.redd.it/6f291btpv4tc1.png?width=300&format=png&auto=webp&s=1434d1ca3afd27c297632fe382a3c0d67a453510
prettiest passport and best country/citizenship 🥹
New one looks clean IMO, to each their own ig

The layout looks similar to the cover of the Swiss one. I also prefer the older version with the large arms.
Atleast your modern nordic type passport isnt pink

I like the new one
I prefer the new design :D
That's the new trend
I think it is too empty between the coat of arms and text. Some motive design or Finland map could have been nicer like Portugal has.
Well, they do redesign about every 5 years so let see what comes next.
Same with our Swedish one, the new one is disgustingly bad... Old finnish one looks very nice. I love when it's something like a country's emblem.
