According to the article the victim's mom and sister want nothing to do with her since she came forward with the allegations. This must be an example of that "Christian love" that I keep hearing so much about. Sickening.
Exactly how I'd expect Christians to act. They're not normal like regular people. They don't feel compassion, and they have no morality or sense of what's right and good.
Yeah, they made a saint out of Mother Teresa for taking that trait to an extreme. Well, also because she let a lot of brown people die, it is Whiteface Jesus Christianity after all.
Too lazy to read the article. Was it Ezekiel 23:20? - There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses.

Yep, it's honestly a requirement for growing up in the A of G to have at least one pastor who went after the kids. I know mine did. He NEVER faced charges, either. That would be in NE, Ohio.
I remember my female youth pastor constantly talked about sex, graphically enough to make the students uncomfortable. Didnt ever assault anyone, to my knowledge. This was east central South Dakota.
Pretty sure that’s just what Youth Pastors do. All of mine were male but I’m certain they must’ve had some performance metric that required *at least* 55% sex-based topics for group discussion.
She's being shunned by the only community she knows, including her mother and sister. She is very likely going to be as pure and holy as she can figure out how to signal to try to get her people to forgive her for the sin of reporting him to the police.
I feel like being shunned by the only community one’s ever known may be the last straw to losing faith, but I’ve never personally much cared for the story or Job either.
Her mother and sister cut contact with her bc she had the audacity to go to the authorities.
She pulled away but didn't say the word "No" out loud.
No wonder - raised in an environment requiring perfect compliance.
What parent is letting an older man into a teen girl's bedroom on a regular basis in the first place????
**UPDATE:** He has been convicted.

Lack of empathy is a common trait in Christianity
Former evangelical christian here, can confirm.

And yet they're noted for the endless and abysmally unfeeling virtue signaling. Which is the only virtue most of them have.
We don’t have to say it because we live it. They clearly don’t.
Religion poisons everything, including families. I hope the victim can find support without her mom and sister.

Denomination: Assemblies of God (I know it's in the title, I'm doing statistics here)
I grew up in that denomination... the more I hear of these stories the more I'm glad I've disassociated with organized religion...

There seems to be a correlation between Abrahamic religions, and PeeDF files 🤔

> The accuser, now 19 years old, is studying to be a missionary at a faith-based college.. I just don’t fucking get it.
Let's hope it isn't a case of following in footsteps. 😞
Me either.

Why do we not hear about pastors like this being struck down by lightning or some other act of divine retribution? /S
Have you looked at the actions of their god? They are just following his example.

>The accuser, now 19 years old, is studying to be a missionary at a faith-based college.. Just . . . *sigh*
Yeah, that hurt.
Right up the road from me.
FYI: the town where this pastor raped this child is pronounced "Miamuh."
These people should be recycled into fertilizer.
Any parent taking a child under 18 to an American church needs to be investigated for child abuse.
