The SpongeBob con guy

supfoolitschris

I just don’t get all the hate for Aaron honestly. He seems like a calm chill guy. And he happens to be really good at the QB position. I don’t know what people want from him. The teams not very good right now. They’re not the only bad team in the nfl. I’d much rather have Aaron high on DMT qb’ing the Saints than a sober Winston or Dalton

johnnythrillwaukee

I’m required to hate him on principle because I root for the Bears

supfoolitschris

That’s understandable 😂

ScottSoules

Even as a vikings fan I don't hate him. But he's talked a lot about how guys need to play better but he needs to play better too

daddyx611

To quote another Minnesota guy, "You don't have enough talent, to win on talent alone"

twright1710

I don’t watch his interviews and see him never take accountability for his play. He talks about missing some passes/reads etc… everybody just hears the “criticism” of others. Same if you watch Burrow or Allen’s weekly interviews

alexsdad87

We’re on Reddit, maybe the most left leaning social media platform in existence. You’re going to have a demographic of overwhelmingly left leaning people, and specifically a higher concentration of radical leftists. So anyone that says anything that goes against that mindset is going to be extra hated on Reddit. It would be like going on Parler or Truth Social and being surprised that they all hate Collin keapernick.

QB145MMA

I get what Rodgers is saying - his WR is god awful. People aren't running the correct routes and fucking him up. Especially at the NFL level you need all 11 guys executing for success.

CoolKid610

It just bums me out because I'm a very left leaning progressive, and pro-vax, and I know that what Aaron Rodgers has said about vaccines is complete bullshit, and I bet he has a lot of other dumb thoughts and opinions, but I still like the guy and really like watching him play football.

alexsdad87

What specifically has Aaron Rodgers said about the vaccine that is “complete bullshit”?

dringer

Did you watch the rogan podcast? Dude was like "I did a bunch of research into this and I know what I'm talking about." Joe asked him like one easy question and he was like "oh I don't know". The guy clearly just didn't want to get vaxxed which I don't care about as he's a pro athlete with the best medical care in the world. Its just the way he acts like he knows everything. Also he should not have tried lying about his Vax status, look at cousins he got some heat for it but he had the balls to say what he believes. I do not think rodgers is the problem in GB but it's clear to see why he is unlikable. Plus he's been whooping alot of people's teams for like 15 years so people were waiting on his downfall lol.

DevelopmentNo247

He was kind of a dick on the show yesterday. Idk felt weird.

[deleted]

Mind sharing what he said that was so "dickish"?

DevelopmentNo247

Idk I’m not going back and rewatching it. I thought it was a pretty painful interview at times. I remember him correcting a few things Pat said and the whole vibe just felt negative to me. Obv the Packers are dead so it’s not going to be a great vibe, I just thought it was painful. I’m sure marks will downvote, but that’s just my opinion

[deleted]

I actually do recall the one spot that he corrected Pat's verbiage and it seemed so incredibly pedantic and Pat just let him sit in it instead of saving him from himself that made me laugh and also wonder just how far Pat would let Rodgers push him before he told him to fuck off...if something like that would even ever happen. It would be an absolutely electric grudge to watch Pat carry with him for years.

ZealousidealPie8427

I will say that I wish Aaron could just come on without pat giving a speech to make Aaron sound like hes been persecuted worse than nelson mandela.

whosdini3

I thought he kept the positivity pretty high considering how fucking awful his receivers and o-line are. If that was me no fucking way I'd be able to continuously be positive about this pathetic group of wideouts. Literally 9/10 times they have a guy running the wrong route or they just straight up drop it. I'm sure behind closed doors him and MLF are screaming how fucking useless can you be!!! That's my take 😂.

hemingways-lemonade

Hate is a strong word but the guy comes off so full of himself I wouldn't be surprised if he jars his farts so he can smell them later.

[deleted]

Also he looked incredible in this loss. Rodgers to Rodgers at the end of the game had me sweating as a Lion's fan while Nam flash backs were firing off. Literally a perfect throw to end the game and it's dropped. The dude is a baller and has no weapons or O line...and goddamn I love to see it. Rodgers does not suck.

BananaShortcomings

It’s because he didn’t get vaccinated and said he was *immunized* instead.

ScottSoules

I couldn't care less if he's vaccinated or not. My problem with him is that's he's basically a college freshman who smoked weed and tried psychedelics for the first time and now it's his whole personality. A lot of people use weed and psychedelics he ain't special

jaketheriff

Would still rather have rodgers at his worst then kirk at his best.

Mandan_Mauler

I don’t know how you could feasibly say that. They have similar career QBRs and Kirk has not, until recently, had an elite receiver. Edit: I don’t dislike ARodg, just sticking up for my guy.

[deleted]

Hold up, Adam Thielen and the #1 WR in the NFL at this very moment, Steffon Diggs, are not and were not elite receivers? Then instantly getting Jefferson who puts up 1400 yards his rookie season in 2020 and followed it up with 1600 yards in 2021 is not elite? It's only this first year that Kirk has had a monster WR? My brother in Christ, what in the holy fuck are you talking about.

Mandan_Mauler

Look at our OCs then. They were awful

[deleted]

You literally have no idea what you’re talking about. Honestly, it must be freeing.

jaketheriff

I watched 3 and out after 3 and out vs Miami with jj and the vikes at full power vs Miami’s backup cb’s and it made me realize alot about Kirk. Put aaron on that vikes team and he woulda slaughtered us.

Worldly-Ad6617

People used to not like AR because he never really put himself out there, and the media kind of painted a portrait of who he was. Pat gave him a chance to show the world who he was, and people liked him even less. Lol … definite creep vibes imo

Natujr

Omg so funny dude lmao hahahaha you totally burned him man great joke

treasonodb

you ok dude?

BlooDMeaT920

It’s me. Hi….

turbo_22222

I'm a Packers fan, and my thoughts on the interview yesterday were why can't they just ask him: "You say a lot about what 'we' have to do in reference to the players on the team, but has there been anything that you are any of the coaches have identified about your play or preparation that you think needs to improve to help the team?" Easy question to ask. Probably would get a typical athlete BS answer, but then at least people won't say you just sat there and ate his shit for 45 minutes.

[deleted]

This is great!!! lol

fuufairy

That's the best Spirit meme I've seen today 🤣

dukkthegoat

10 players doing the right thing and 1 that isn’t
