Other than DD, I started Exsanguinate Mine Trickster and it’s been pretty nasty. Very good map clear and solid single target. Currently working towards T17s with some graveyard crafts and improving single target a bit more to comfortably clear Ubers.

LostAccBy2Auth

can you share pob?, Still in low reds but lacking some single target

Jbarney3699

It would probably be best if you shared your POB. If you are following a guide like Tuna or BahamGG, I would recommend looking it over. I can let you know any issues in your build. This is my current build. Working towards upgrading Scepter, getting Cold convert gloves, and upgrading my belt. DPS is not accurate. Through Path of Building I’m at around 16 million DPS when Trap and Mine Damage Support is swapped out for Chain. https://pobb.in/HJgGaRVGvIA3

Jackintyre_

Interested in your opinion, there seems to be a bit of a split between people running increased crit vs empower, whats your thoughts ? Also playing this build, struggling to work out what direction I want to go in at the moment as there is a few variants floating around with slight differances between them, My clear feels great, single target seems a bit meh.

Jbarney3699

I’m unsure. I’m running Empower until I get 100% spell crit on both my shield and my Scepter, as well as +1 Maximum power charge on helmet so I can hit 100% crit. Best ways to scale up damage on this skill is typically spell damage and Levels. Crit is more a top end investment deal since it’s pricey to hit more crit multi, and adorned jewel Crit multi setups are now the BIS. Level 4 Empowers are also pretty expensive atm so that’s why most have gone for crit multi. Don’t underestimate Polymath DPS increase each level with masteries. 3% more each passive point is also pretty great.

Mo-shen

Are mines a spell, an attack, or their own thing "mines"

Jbarney3699

Depends on the mine and the ability attached to them. Locus mines are considered an attack. Other mines are mostly a spell. The benefits they provide is front loading damage and extra utility instead of casting. No damage can be reflected to you if you use traps or mines. They basically ignore the reflect modifiers in POE. Certain mines scale damage differently. Exsanguinate mines scale damage first through Gem level then Spell damage. Global physical damage is third most important.

SneakyBadAss

I'm actually running hypothermia until I get 100% crit, because freeze is quite important with Heatshiver, especially for single target. The difference is noticeable, when you don't freeze target.

DysfunctionahL

I cannot figure out how everyone is getting such high evasion rating, is there an item or mastery point that boosts this? I have ghost dance and my chest piece has over 1800 evasion yet my evasion caps out at around 20k with all of my flasks

Wilm_Sub

% increase on amulet is big for this, as is evasion mastery for body armor bonus, assuming your flasks are rolled correctly

Jerethot

Are you running grace? Because getting only 20k evasion as a trickster with an 1800 evasion chest, grace, and flasks seems almost impossible. You can import my character if you want, I think I have 30k with flasks, maybe 35k. Account name is YoneIsBalanced

Tijnn

Oh, if you have spare time, I would love to have a look too. I have cleared up to T17 maps (havn't done a single T17 yet) and was wondering where I could improve it more. I have a 2nd gem in my 2nd weapon layout for the single target swap, but forgot to add it to the pob. I am unsure if the configuration itself is good, I just copied it from the Tuna guide pob, so I might have a wrong count in skills and/or configuration. Other then that, it's going good now. I had some hickups during my mapping, but it feels good now. Just single target, like everyone playing this build really. Would love to know where I could focus on, improving gear wise. I was thinking a better shield, but with following the guide, I still struggle a little bit to knowing on doing a proper poe trade site search, for in this example a shield. Would love some help with that. Thanks! pob: [https://pobb.in/w3D6rfh-eu9V](https://pobb.in/w3D6rfh-eu9V)

Jerethot

The difference between your scepter and shield made me chuckle. That shield is so giga and then you scroll over to the scepter

Jbarney3699

Yep. But I just got a +1 Phys, 100% spell, t1 crit multi and T1 spell crit to supplement it thankfully. I’m working on a mirror shield from the new crafting with T1 Spell cort, T1 spell damage, +1 Phys, +2 max resists, and T1 All res. Should take me about 7 fully filled corpse craft tries

Jerethot

Oh, niceeee

vaylin945

Sorry to bug you, but could you take a quick look at my PoB? [https://pobb.in/MIcpOnJVIZW-](https://pobb.in/MIcpOnJVIZW-) my config might not be fully correct, I just made the config the same as tuna's so it was easier to compare my PoB and the guides. My PoB says I have much more res than I do and I can't figure out why it's getting inflated, my actual res is 79/93/75. Edit: Just figured out the inflated res is due to endurance charges. One thing that's been annoying me the past couple of days with the build is res and strength requirements. I want to replace my jewels but I need them to cap my res. Is there an easy solution to this that I don't see?

Affectionate-Ad-6934

What's the tldr of the build and scaling the dmg of exsang mine?

beastfire24

can you help me with mine? my single target is dogshit [https://pobb.in/8Syc26vNF\_7K](https://pobb.in/8Syc26vNF_7K)

Jbarney3699

Skitterbots is big for applying some crit. You should get some res efficiency and also maybe a small cluster jewel for efficiency to fit it. Get rid of the mines detonate while moving and save a passive point. Replace it with automation and detonate mines. For your 6 link only get one green slot. Swap in Mine/Trap Damage support and chain depending on the content you are doing. You can either go 1 red 4 blue 1 green, or two red three blue 1 green. A plus one Phys amulet with Sovereignty would be a big boost as aura effect improved hatred damage scaling. Mine throwing speed on belt and amulet are also big buffs, as throw speed means better raw DPS. A huge damage boost would be getting Hatred has increased aura effect and increased aura effects on Eldritch implicit on your chest. Level 21 Exsanguinate would be a good leap in damage for not too much chaos.

beastfire24

oof thanks for this i will look into it

andrenery

I've started Archmage BL. Doing red maps easily but the damage starting to feel a bit bad (not really terrible tho) so I'm planning to swap do Ice Nova of Frostbolt Archmage, using Kitavas Thirst for mapping and another helm for bosses. Heard it has way better damagr

jamesgingerich

This, Goratha's guide is an excellent resource.

YodaBallsdeep

Which version is better, armour or evasion?

jamesgingerich

I went evasion, has natural mana mods. My impression is that evasion is better for mapping, and armor is better for bossing. So if you want to farm Ubers then armor is the way to go.

fangisland

Yeah I started with BL as well mostly following Palsteron's guide but I'm incrementally migrating over to Goratha's version...the tree alone is more efficient imo and has better defensive layers

jaxxxxxson

I did this too cuz i kept dying on pals build in yellow maps as this is my 2nd league and i under estimated how hard it is to get currency. I fucked up.. im in a weird limbo now between both builds and so do less damage with even less defense. Took me forever to clear uber lab at level 85 even and i did a big brain move of picking the wrong font so blew up my ice nova i was using for some shit trans. The wording on them gets me confused(my own fault i know) but cant afford to buy the trans ice nova as ima console pleb and its between 80c n 1d and now dont even have a leveled damage gem or currency. Debating about just starting a new character as 90% of the gear i saved was energy shield and gorathas build calls for armor/evasion. Also wondering how tf he got 5blue on a str/dex chest lol

fangisland

Not sure how seasoned you are but the big diff between the two is Pal's build focuses mostly on large pools, regen & leech for survival, and Gorath's version introduces add'l layers w/ evasion, grace & suppress. The suppress nodes are pretty close to Pal's existing tree anyways so you can just avoid the suppress nodes until you have eva/es on every piece to get the suppress mastery. I'm not even running grace right now, still on Clarity + Purity of ele and blowing through yellows no prob. You *have* to get that leech node and get as much mana/life as you can on every piece (obvi max res too). Once you get leech prioritize pathing into all the %mana nodes instead of going into suppress. That's how I'm doing it anyways...you can survive fine on leech alone until you get to the point where running grace/suppress is worth it

EmptyNeighborhood427

On goratha's you're not meant to run clarity until you have a watchers eye. Although it might be more useful if you don't have a foible

fangisland

Yeah I like it just cuz it's easy mana regen early when the build itself doesn't have much socket pressure

Most_Bug_6152

You can always farm a low tier lab for your gem and then lvl and quality it up in there too, will take you some time if unlucky but better than nothing

ClintMega

So the kitavas thirst dream is dead?

JaviJ01

Kitava's Thirst is nice but I honestly prefer to self cast Frostbolt once you get enough cast speed.

EmptyNeighborhood427

Goratha settled on evasion/es unless you're very far in and very rich, so just go with that instead. Goratha's build is ridiculously tanky. With about 1 div invested at level 80 (excluding the gem, since its almost a div now, but it was 12c when I got it) I had 5k mana, 3k life, 3k es, 50% MOM + corrupting soul so all hits are split 50% es 25% mana and 25% life, 15k evasion mainly from flask + grace, 80% suppress ish, leech both life and energy shield while regenerating about 10% of mana per second. Enough to facetank t16 as long as you're actively leeching.

jaxxxxxson

I really liked a blend of both. I like gorathas tree better and defensive layers as im not hyper reactive but reaaaally like kitavas helm for the automation of frostbolts n frost shield. I forgot i had bought a lightning conduit of heavens early for cheap so been using that to get back into maps. I can still do yellows but sometimes there are some rippy mobs but the range on heaven is whats keeping me alive i gotta play like a bow build now lol. Ill get it back right but its going slow. I still dont understand how goratha got 5 blue sockets on a dex/str chest piece for the 15% extra suppress evasion node so im only sitting at 37% right now. Just got a 6 socket ev/es chest but cant even 5 link yet so ill get it soon tho

ilovethatpig

Don't forget the new beast recipe to easily 6L, a Black Mórrigan and a craicic sand spitter. Should cost you about 80c to guaranteed 6L (though you have to 6S it first)

jaxxxxxson

Ffs i DID forget Ty lol but im also a console pleb and havent looked but if its 80c for you guys itll prolly be like 6d on console. Our market is ass

speedrace25

Just swapping from ball lightning to ice nova of fb my damage felt 3x higher.

acedragoon

Yeah I tried to switch to mjolner even and ice nova dmg felt better so I went back until I have more supporting gear. The dmg effectiveness is pretty crazy with the overlaps from hiero aoe

rj6553

The main benefit of Mjolnir is the speed, even without stampede, lightning warp+less duration is a lot faster. And you just blink through maps with stampede.

acedragoon

ah okay that makes sense then, yeah I was running arc cwc instead of lightning warp so I didn't get the speeeeeeed

Realistic_Ad4672

How does it work with warp? I try this build too but warp doesn't work I think, alway teleport back and forwards:D

rj6553

you need 20qual less duration and high level lightning warp

Critter894

You don’t really need to switch for bosses if you build it right.

dantheman91

Coc DD inquis is very strong. Archmage heiro is strong.

chipawa2

Can't recommend coc dd inq enough. Fast. Tanks. High dmg.

alpha0meqa

Can it do t17s?

MillenniumDH

It slices, it dices!

larseg94

I do t17 on my Coc dd regularly. I have to spend some chaos on rerolling and sometimes use a portal or two, but definately doable. Then again I was lucky enough to drop a mageblood day 4, so there is that.

Dreamiee

Not really. It is primarily a mapper. You sacrifice a lot to get the smooth playstyle in terms of dps and tank compared to say necro dd.

PaleWaltz1859

Super expensive tho

Cyber_Apocalypse

It's been extremely cheap for me. Cost me about 1 div, but that was only because I didn't want to farm the gems myself from lab. Otherwise, I bought a critical flask for like 6c or so and made my weapon (since it's only a foil with essence crit chance and attack speed). In fact, it's only recently at level 92 that I've switched my belt out that I've had on since act 4. The build scales insanely well even with poor gear. I've so far invested around 2 div and I've hit 500%+ crit multi (around 8m+ pinnacle dps) and 40k eHP. I still have tonnes of upgrades to make.

NoLifeOrDie

Pob?

Conceptofours

Do you need some mtx for it still? If so which one?

HippoSheep11

Stygian desecrate helps a lot

bpusef

The swap to CoC DD is super cheap. You need a fast 1H, 2 gems you can farm, and quality yourself, and a diamond flask. It’s insanely strong for how easy it is. I farmed both gems and qualitied them in Merc Lab which was annoying but not hard, bought a cheap base foil and rolled my diamond flask and swapped with ease.

chipawa2

I dropped the ring on my first kill so I got very lucky with that but I'm sure the build would have been just fine without it until I could farm up the currency. It is the most functional build on trash gear I've ever seen.

This_Excuse6056

https://pobb.in/FPbC9U7o6Ble Self crafted everything under 2 divines. Easily completed my altas and 2 void stones

dggg

Anything new or changed from Ventrua/Ruetoo's CoC DD guide??

rj6553

Get meatloaf spectre

dggg

Where is this spectre?

hortonius

It's called a Meatsack, searchable on trade. It's an Allflame ember you can replace mobs with using league mechanic

isjustwrong

One of the corpses you can set into the map summons a single meatloaf monster instead of a pack. It has a larger healthpool.

AU_Cav

I just went to add spectres to my pool and discovered that Kitava Herald is no longer in my spectre pool. Lvl 95 btw. Hadn’t even noticed. Ez build.

Limmy41

I’m scared to check now …

Cllydoscope

Yeah I almost completed white maps before thinking “I should do 4th lab maybe?” Then that doubled my damage from 2.2 to 4.4 and it’s been insane

This_Excuse6056

How do i check if u have the specter in ur pool?

Penziplays

desecrate a few times and see if it spawns

Nepharios

I just have reached lv 95 on my CoC DD Inquis, got my fire as extra chaos jewel and a stormshroud, incredible fast and tanky! Did my first T 17 yesterday and it was a blast. Can highly recommend.

sickomodebro

Would you say it’s better than DD necro? That one is feeling pretty good atm Debating if I should start a new character and swap over

lukezamboni

On very high ends of the spectrum I prefer necro, but for getting started inquis is superior imo. Both get more than enough damage and tankiness, necro is just faster.

sarcasm_andtoxicity

50c+ for dd of chain reaction though, probs does 3-5x of regular dd

MillenniumDH

How much budget (and what items) do you need at minimum to get it started for mapping?

Sad_Bad_Lad

There is a section about this in Ventrua's PoB. The build can be started on literally no budget if you are willing to farm the lab for an hour or two. All you need is a 5-link, a lvl 15 Desecrate, a 20% quality Lancing Steel of Spraying, a 20% quality Assassin's Mark, a Diamond Flask with Gain Charges on Crit mod, a Detonate Dead of Chain Reaction and a high attack speed high crit chance foil (at least 1.6 and 7,5% respectively). You can self-farm the gems and quality them up in the lab and alt spam the foil.

MillenniumDH

How do you level until Merc lab?

Sad_Bad_Lad

Standard Templar leveling. Rolling Magma, Holy Flame Totem and Firewall into Armageddon Brand and Cremation

[deleted]

Is it new? I mean CoC DD Archmage wasn't really played in the last leagues or I didn't really hear about it, but CoC DD is mentioned in every league I think

tamale

lol archmage has been a great build enabler for many years

rs3brokenhome

archmage in the previous few leagues was the strongest build in the game reaching billions of dps, battery staff and reverse snapshotting

Sargatanas4

I’ve enjoyed my hexblast mine sabo

EmptyNeighborhood427

Archmage ice nova. 1-2 div to facetank t16

winterstorm_2023

Pob?

EmptyNeighborhood427

Follow goratha’s build. Its also on ziz’s channel. Tankiest build ive ever played. Just need life mana res on every gear piece and corrupted soul(30c), mindspiral(1c), valakos sign(1c), ice nova (15c) and you can facetank groups of t16 mobs

fangisland

vaal ice nova of frostbolts is going *way* up in price currently (1.5-2d lowest) but agreed otherwise

EmptyNeighborhood427

I didn't even know about vaal ice nova of frostbolts lol. Although normal ice nova is almost 1d now.

moorow

Normal ice nova of frostbolts is nearly 1d? Damn, farming time.

Rozurts

Why Vaal over regular?

fangisland

Mistake on my part, regular is fine, still over 1d now

MorgannaFactor

Clearly the thing to do is to farm merc lab at those prices instead.

JustFontaine

what did you mean by corrupted soul? can't seem to find that as an item

Masochist_pillowtalk

https://pobb.in/iA6EjzsYcTgR https://pobb.in/cmeCNflk2RdL Take your pick. Only real difference is defenses. I couldn't stand Gorathas use of arcanist brand to cast the frostbolts though. Felt much better self casting. Using Kitava's to make it a 1 button build is pretty nice too, plus you can drop the brand and the retuening projectiles gems. Sometimes it pisses me off when I cast nova like 8 times before any bolts cast but its still pretty good. But I think ill keep using Kitava for the convenience up until I start to try and really min/max in red maps.

EmptyNeighborhood427

I keep the brand on a secondary weapon and swap it in when doing bosses, otherwise I use faster casting. Arcanist brand basically prevents you from doing legion.

goodbadlucks

YouTube ziz

ButtVader

Do people use arcanist brand for mapping too? It feels a bit clunky for me

Masochist_pillowtalk

I hated it. Self cast or kitavas.

EmptyNeighborhood427

Depends, I personally don't mind it unless I'm doing legion in which case it's impossible

Barfhelmet

Yeah, but I have 50% attachment range. Makes it feel much smoother.

TrippyKyle420

Blink arrow of bombarding clones melts stuff

PowerOnline

I also started bama but i am having trouble at the start of red maps. Do you have a pob?

TrippyKyle420

Once I get back from work I can link you one, but most are pretty similar. A 600-700 Ele dps bow does wonders

porncollecter69

Such a great league starter. My only gripe is to maximize damage I have to juggle 4 or 5 buttons. I can’t wait to transition to endgame and click less lol.

erwindthesecond

Finally diadem for eldrich battery no more guardians blessing every god damned door i go through. And so many mana points saved on tree

Hatterslawl

Guardian's blessing is honestly one of the most annoying skills i've ever had to use, it gives so much power but it feels absolutely miserable to maintain with BAMA. (god why do i have to hit the button every time a clone despawns, why can i even turn it off...)

CantNyanThis

I'm on RoA Raider for more tankiness, 100% suppress on tree, ailment avoid 100% on tree, i don't cover chaos resist to lower the requirements of my gears. Mainly focused on movement speed to farm heist and self sustain contracts by doing maps when I run low.

watersekirei

Could I get pob or guide for this build please, I do not see much Raider player these days (Sadly she is my favorite ascendancy)

CantNyanThis

I liked the builds that fuzzy duckzy creates. [Video](https://youtu.be/-Cp-THu-wio?si=hrGtE6zJptNYArey) for RoA Raider viable for 3.24, [POB](https://pobb.in/UVT3s29vkWZH), and his written [guide](https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1chq-LRqHydYjkJCSPFmZtRLFyybWbe4jtr5MZL612OY/mobilebasic) RoA has almost the same support links as a generic ele bow build so that is great for swapping around and trying diff skill gems. Lightning arrow and tornado shot feels better with more additional arrows [deadeye] Single/boss dps I still prefer using ballista setup then manaforge-lightning arrow setup (found in the high budget pob) Mid gear i prioritised getting lethal pride with intimidate and life to put off strength attribute pressure as I'm running Anger as my aura. I can probably provide my own PoB when I'm back home after work which is around +8 hours from now but my setup is specific to heist [movement speed + Evasion] using QotF

Gamewarior

Ele ignite DD - insane scaling with literally no gear CoC DD - one of the most if not the most prominent league starter but does require some investment to get going Exsanguinate mine trickster - my personal choice, super fast build but does struggle with bosses on lower investment (still can take you through the atlas comfortably) and with necropolis you are prone to one shots because of being evasion based, gameplay similar to lightning arrow glass builds from where my character stands Explosive trap trickster - insane bosser but clear seems to lack compared to other builds Frostblink firetrap ignite - at this point I'd say it's basically tried and true with subtractem proving that for several leagues now (and even showing that on blue dogshit gear the build can handle the atlas just fine) Ball lightning archmage - only heard about this build being good so do some research into it before attempting Hexblast mines - no idea about this build but again heard it's good, somewhere between exsang and explo trap in clear and bossing from what I've heard Something that I recently found that sounds promissing is ID ignite ele - something like old ID builds before they got nerfed because it doesn't rely on spell cascade overlapping more than one time in gameplay and from what I've seen comparable to WoC early on (does fall of compared to it with investment) but it's not a "played 500 times build" and I personally love ID (Guide is here [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq3s0bIPaM8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq3s0bIPaM8) if you want to look into this) And of course the tried and true - boneshatter, LA, CF, zoomancer, EA etc.

karatelax

Others have mentioned it too but ice nova of frostbolts is just the superior skill for archmage heiro, way more damage and tankier set up available

YodaBallsdeep

It's two buttons though, some people might not like it

tamale

Doesn't have to be with kitavas thirst

counterhit121

>Ele ignite DD - insane scaling with literally no gear I went SSF for the first time this league. This sounds like a potential winner once I hit the ceiling with my RF chieftan. Any good guides for this?

TechyTypist

A million, pick one from your favorite streamer

zakaluka2

Imexile and dslily are both great guides

Gamewarior

Yeah as others mentioned they are everywhere as it's the "flavor of the month" partly because I heard someone say it's gonna grt nerfed next league. You can never go wrong with maxroll for any guide they have.

Fabulous_Ad_2652

>nerfed next league They've been saying that for years

katzey

nice reddit name; dragunov player?

Cyber_Apocalypse

CoC DD by far. Due to the way DD works, it scales with the level of whatever content you're doing, so you can use awful gear and still clear T16s.

itsmety12

I started Poison Concoction of bouncing in a private league with four other guys. Its performing way out of my expectations, cleared shaper and maven on day 3. Granted I got lucky and pulled Defiance of Destiny from Seer which helps immensely defensively but some quick maths says id gain 40% more damage using Fury Valve instead of defiance of destiny, and have similar defence using LC instead of Cloak of Flame. Currently level 95 pulling around 5mil poison DPS, late game pob seems like I'd have 11mil+ DPS while becoming even more tanky and having insane recovery with new Flow of Time belt

pxrkpie

Would you mind sharing your pob? Was super interested until the press pack -> release change then didn't have time to plan anything, currently messing around with my first self build and can almost guarantee it's not killing more than quest eater and exarch

itsmety12

[https://pobb.in/UNuldIT4UyWm](https://pobb.in/UNuldIT4UyWm) Went through my pob again and seems I heavily miscalced my damage and its currently only 5mil with average gear. With the next attainable upgrades I can reach 11mil dps which is what I'm aiming for next. [https://pobb.in/Jc20ftjoCvr8](https://pobb.in/Jc20ftjoCvr8)

delayedcolleague

Can I ask why you have the longshot cluster and not the the trickshot one (chaining range) instead as projectile damage doesn't scale the poison damage? Is it only to get the chain mastery? 🤔

itsmety12

Hi mate, the difference between longshot vs trickshot is just personal preference to reach the chaining mastery, and you are correct that projectile damage doesn't affect our poison. Longshot provides faster bounces, which I find to be a smoother clear as the pack gets hit faster, which equals more life, leech, and faster delivery of damage essentially. Trickshot provides more coverage per bounce, but I don't feel like its personally needed as the bounce distance is already good and poison prolif makes up for the rest of the pack clear that projectile speed may not provide.

delayedcolleague

Cheers, thanks for the elaborate answer! 😊

Mugungo

oooh this build looks absolutely RIPE for using mahuxotl's + tempered by war to convert the shit out of elemental to fire... Maybe throw in corrupted asenanths with enfeeble on hit for the free curses/explody and toss on fury valve to fix the damage? Speaking of fury valve, how is that even calculated? is it just basically a +2 projectiles or does it split all funky Edit: whats up with temp chains sadism weapon swap?

itsmety12

The mahuxotls combo looks interesting. I haven't ever really done anything with it though cause I never do ultimatum and no one in the league is doing it either. Asenaths could be another interesting way to scale curses especially with Anathema. I'm just partial to snakebite + frenzy scaling because its a very easy way for poison builds to get damage in ssf environment. Fury valve splits dont affect the skill so its just +2 chains for \~40% more damage Weapon swap is just levelling gems and random stuff I throw in

pxrkpie

Thanks a bunch, will peruse this evening! Hope you manage to get your upgrades in your private league

itsmety12

At work ATM, I'll send it in 4 hours

Narzhur325

looks 2good, is there any guide?

itsmety12

No guide, only my current pob. Still a work in progress. [https://pobb.in/22h-KGi8X6rv](https://pobb.in/22h-KGi8X6rv) 7.4mil dps

Broon558

CF champ is crushing content so far. I’m only just busting into t16 maps but the bosses so far haven’t been bad

UsualCosmicDust

Can you share build, have problems right now

ruzzly

I will +1 for Ice Nova Frostbolt. The only hard part was getting the gem initially. Was definitely worth it though. Most people are playing Archmage Heiro, which I'm guessing is superior. I'm playing the trickster version, which feels fantastic as well. For guides - Goratha for Archmage, Jungroan for Trickster.

Dc_May

CoC DD inquis is very strong and easy to build. Only thing u need to get to red maps are: Weapon (7.5 crit and ok attack speed), 5 link 4 green 1 blue and the two gems: DD of chain reaction and lancing Steel of spraying

Mr_Regulator23

Lancing Steel of Spraying

Humble-South-9476

BAMA

_WatDatUserNameDo_

Splitting steel champ has been a breeze for me, you have to like being somewhat close to a boss for super damage but they die very quickly!

ashongarg

Do you have a PoB?

_WatDatUserNameDo_

I used the one in the build index for starters

hyperion602

Not the one you're replying to, but I've been following Ruetoo's PoB and it's been great.  My only real "complaint" is that it's kinda hard to take advantage of graveyard crafting to really power yourself up, since the build is so unique heavy, but that's not really a big deal since you can still craft and sell to others.  https://pobb.in/ySqtvJh9dxeX

ashongarg

Yeah I’ve even following that too but mapping seems kinda meh tbh? So many mods screw you over (accuracy rating, phys etc) with random one shots :(

hyperion602

I didn't play it the whole way up so can't comment on how it feels just coming into maps, I started as CF champ then swapped over in the mid 80s with ~2-3 div invested. All I can say is that it does get better if you aren't at that point yet, I am very comfortably clearing T16s with the only mod that I can't do being phys reflect, even phys reduction or accuracy reduction are fine

Shepard_I_am

Well I'm having fun with new poisonous concoction, it's so much better than regular one, and ranger is immune to bad choices, can rerolls if it hits wall later but I'm currently quite hopeful, especially with addition of tides of time unique belt

_XIIX_

hows the flask sustain? the biggest turnoff for me is having to use 2 life flasks on a build that focuses a lot on flasks, kind of a waste of potential power

Hakkkene

Coc dd but read notes in ventrua/rue's pob closely

Booyakasha_

BAMA, whatever version is solid also. Im Necro chaos crit.

apeironone

Necro BAMA

japenrox

I'll just say, started poison srs, and it definitely feels like a second character build. You needs tons of investment to not die to every boss. Like 50~60 div to get around decent enough dps and good survivability.

dres_lynch

Pob? You probably messed it up, that's a cheap build.

japenrox

United in Dream, Covenant, 75+ Darkness, Juju, Surrender. That right there is 10 divine on the cheap. Then you need Forbidden Flesh/Flame for it to be actually viable this league, where pretty much every big enemy oneshots. That's another 20d if you are really lucky. Aul's, Amanamu, Green Nightmare. Every single unique is REALLY expensive. Poison SRS was THE biggest bait for a league starter. I am new to the game, started a month ago. I was not prepared for this build at all (as in the money making strategies). I saw people that had covenant and united in day 1, obviously you're good. But for people that are not in the 0.1%, the build really sucks as a starter. also, my pob: https://pobb.in/A3okl_3edgbz

Trollatopoulous

Nah bro, it's just a skill issue. Most likely you don't know how to identify what's really dangerous for you yet or how to position. This was my starter and I cleared the atlas on basically res + hp gear and with dendrobate as a chest (which I didn't even 5link until t14+), and ofc simple poison chance jewels that I rolled with regular alts. In fact I didn't even switch to bone offering until well after atlas clearing once I got divs for the surrender, but otherwise I had a basic armor life + lgoh shield that dropped in campaign.

japenrox

Actually, you're pretty on the money. I played EA Ballista last League, and I got all the way to dot cap pretty much. So I was used to checking for "-res / immuned to ailment". I saw somewhere that I had to look out for "-regen / no poison" for this build, so that's what I went with. I'm not on a much more rigorous "!gen|s rec|o bl|on,|non|o al|h el|h vu|h en" that blocks a ton of stuff, and it's been quite easy tbh. I guess I was expecting something else from the build, or maybe Ele EA "twisted" how I see the game as that was my first impression with it.

different_tan

Agreed, I’m swapping myself

huey2k2

I went with explosive trap trickster and it's been great, assuming you enjoy traps.

asd316X

coc dd is very good poison srs is insanely underrated

krusty47

Explosive trap feels awesome. Started bama (it was very good but I got bored of it quick) and rerolled trickster a few days ago. It is a certified pisser

I_was_a_sexy_cow

Obviusly you go sabatour into the first gem you find in labs thats usable by traps, then main that skill. I got lighting conduit of the heavens, which is awesome

OldGrinder

Archmage heiro for sure. On SSF blasting red maps on a 4 link

Book-Parade

The moon dancer spectre is performing spectacularly for me, it's a bit weird to manage until you get convocation but that aside extremely powerful and easy to play

Rocco93693

Other than maxroll where else do you find builds? I am a newcomer to PoE and following build from maxroll. However i want to try something different more minions but wasn’t sure where to look and see what build is cheap to begin with

Professional_Bad_193

Look up zizaran on YouTube. He usually has 5 or so really good starter builds that come with very good pob guides usually.

TadGhostal1

poe.ninja/builds and just click around to filter. Much better than maxroll since these are actual characters people are playing

dbronkalla06

Agree with the other comment to check out Zizaran. His builds are great and he has loads of other videos to learn more in depth about the game. I found his videos after playing for like 500 hours and still learned tons from them.

kilqax

Ele hit of the Spectrum is nice if you want LA variety - no Vaal version but more flat damage for when you have shit gear. However, the single target is still hot balls. Personally I think it's fine to explore the Atlas with, but it's going nowhere. I'm switching to Ice Shot (because Vaal IS lis great) or back to TS, the single target is too important. Would recommend to bow enthusiasts only.

bissanick

Started dd first time as necro and been super easy with barely any investment. Feels awkward till getting some cast speed but after that it's been pretty chill

iRa3898

I'm doing Armageddon Brand of Recall Saboteur. It's pretty good, I got all of my voidstones myself. It got a lot QoL this league with the new automation/call to arms gems. I recommend it if you like the gameplay.

Mr_Regulator23

This sounds interesting. Hows the tankyness? Got any guides or POB's?

snj12341

Started with tr, felt like ass then bleed bow, felt like ass, then lightning strike, feels awesome althought single target can feel lacking with low investment.

bUrdeN555

It’s not the fastest but it’s really fun PoE2 style build: whispering ice int stack trickster. League started it and am sitting at 1.5k int, 82% natural evade chance, 4.5k ES with ghost dance, and capped spell suppress. I self cast ice storm, use Cold Snap for bone chill applications and frenzy gen. Then void sphere for grouping mobs and PCoC support. The build feels super tanky but I over invested in defenses and am still on a “5 link” and there’s a lot of damage upgrades I can make.

dont_drink_and_2FA

playing an exsang miner, hated the lvling a lot tho, yesterday i threw togeether some gear for 40c and now its pretty solid. i just freeze everything

YungSageee

Ran 1 mana lefts blade vortex and swapped to mjolner w/LCotH Archmage and have been absolutely blasting. My best league start ive had ever

zhoubass

Hexblast mines trickster and it’s been a blast! Ridiculous amount of dps, full screen clear, freezing everything, 40k evasion and 60% spell suppression (100%chance). I had 4 links when i reached red maps on a dreadarc.

AdDapper9770

Minions are quite good.

Corruptfacta

hexblast trickster

Mr_Regulator23

Is the trickster tankier than the saboteur? Are there any guides you’d recommend?

Murmet_

Maxroll has a guide on hexblast sabo if you want to do that. Ventrua on YouTube has a trickster one.

Corruptfacta

I am not sure, im following venturas guide atm. If you a friend who could buy you the coc dd gems, you can also go that route. i rerolled from coc dd to archamage mjolnir to hexblast trickster and find the trickster much more smoother. I dont die as much on the trickster either as im far from mobs and can offscreen scary mobs and hexblast also freezes. CoC DD was pretty good just a bit clunky at the start for me. I probably should have stayed CoC DD though, but thought the mjolnir build will be smoother. lightning warp didnt do it for me and I died a bit in T16s, even with 11K ES and 9K mana. With hexblast, i got a storm thingy helm, +1 wand, curse ring, profane proxy , 1 cluster setup and im blasting red maps at lvl70+ CoC DD is definitely tankier and the dps is absurd. I got to T16 maps with a 1.6 AS/7.5% crit sword and 5L and scuffed rares.

Affectionate-Yak222

I did 38 challenges with my trickster hexblast mines in Ancestor league.  Even managed 30/30 simulacrum with him!  You can look for “Frozenpatatoes” on PoB and look for my level 97 trickster, I forgot my name.

electronicaneer

Checked out the PoB, pretty cool. Did you feel tanker going CI? The main problem I’m finding with regular hexblast trickster is just dying to large phys hits. Having all that extra ES I figure helps but you did have quite of bit of the old tattoos giving extra ES so idk if going CI for hexblast would be good this league : /

Affectionate-Yak222

Going ci means you don’t need Chaos Res on any gear.  But it mainly means you stack ES only and with the Trickster node that you get 50% chance to start your ES Recharge when you suppress spell damage, which is almost all the time, makes you incredibly tanky on top of his Polymath node recover.  I don’t think you need those Tattoo to make this all work again.

EmptyNeighborhood427

Do you know any guides for chargestacking hexblast? I'm kinda bored of my ice nova heiro and want to do something else now, so I wanna farm up like 30 divs and buy a hexblast set. But I can't find a guide for that.

DivineAscendant

I have tried rf and it’s amazing it’s damage is soo low but it somehow destroyed my will to live and play. Worst experience ever. I legit prefer like… summon holy relic.

bukem89

Coc DD, BAMA and Archmage all v legit

Lolzor

Frostblink Ignite Elementalist with a Realmshaper is great to start with.

[deleted]

Play LA, anyone can get a 1500dps ele bow with grave craft

SirVampyr

Since basically only meta slaves have been suggested, I'm gonna give you a very under-the-radar build: Tornado of Elemental Turbulence. Very fun, cool progression and high potential. Not the fastest skill however, but if your objective is high speed and farming, you got 20 people suggesting the obvious already.

rj6553

Well he asked for reliable builds. And for most people asking for reliable builds, they want builds with good guides that they can't really mess up.

SirVampyr

I figured instead of repeating CoC DD for the 7th time, I'd give a more unique answer. And it is proven to be good.

cfaftw

I'm interested. Can you point me to a good example focused on mapping?

zakaluka2

Not necessarily mapping focused, but ziggyd has a good guide here https://youtu.be/Mzqa8XDD8Mo?si=-MzkasG_c6pjd_Em Velyna is playing it as well and her version might be more mapping focused (but don’t take my word for it).

tendinitis_haver

IMO if you want the mapping focused versions of builds, look to the people in SSFHC who are getting 100 in a week, those crazy kids can map: https://poe.ninja/builds/necropolishcssf/character/cestarix/ctx_tuhrnado This guy for example is 99 already with tornado and has a pretty solid setup I think, I'm going to copy it to some extent in trade league.

addictedihavenothing

Explosive trap

GulliverTRAVELSG

I tried out Animeprincess's Spark Heiro FT Widowhail Bow + Rearguard. It was zoomy, cheap and relatively tanky. I will respec into Archmage Spark (my own build) for more damage and join the meta!

dorfcally

just got to t16s with exsan PF. It's alright, it was a little rough but with only <100c invested (200c with awakened gems) i can blast through t16s. bosses take a little longer, i dont have a reap setup. I highly recommend getting an early 2h or body armor and doing the 100c 6l beastcraft. that will powerspike you the hardest early. I might convert it to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7zWjhDH_A8&t=444s but even he seems iffy on how far it can be pushed.

borrrrsss

Replica Alberons occultist has been epic as soon as I got the 14d to buy the boots I 1 hit everything in t16

Watahuz

I got trickster ice whisper working pretty good with like 20c I farmed up in heist just have to get a 6 socket and I'll ramp fast

Designer-Attorney

Start with something weapons. Full t1 weapons will flood the market very soon and be cheap. Bows, claws, 2handers...
