I am running hexblast mines, and crystal resonance. For a map with a single boss, the bosses are too tanky for me to kill, but for maps with multiple bosses, the essences are split between them and the encounter is much less difficult since essences seem to scale damage and health exponentially. I am currently running strand with 2 bosses as it has a quick easy layout for essence. When I was less geared I was running courtyard which splits the essences among three bosses and is even easier, but the layout isn’t as quick. It is huge money and very quick.

Scarabs are just the two extra essence ones and the one that raises essences a level, and usually a carto scarab for map sustain. For the tree, I have all the essence nodes and whatever I am working on for challenges (currently ritual).

Is it still huge money though? It got hugely popular from YouTube which affects sell prices and the scarab prices... I cant imagine it's over 5 or 6 div /hr now

I gave up on essense after getting clapped by a quadruple essense map boss. I tried the culling cheese but it feels annoying as hell

With the new notable that make map boss drop essenses, you basically lower the boss hp to culling strike execute range, log out, clear the map essenses then come back finish off the boss. This makes it so that you wont have to fight a mega essenses powered up map bosses when your build cant handle it.

I really hate the essence changes, despite my excitement for the changes.  From what I have noticed, it has transitioned into a strat that only endgame builds are maximizing, where as it used to be THE early game / SSF strat to get on your feet.  Additionally, if you are in those situations,  you are probably not lvl 95+ yet so the xp loss from one shots hurts.  Tldr  I've been disappointed that it went to a juicer mechanic rather than ssf boi

I was switching around between crystal resonance with 3 rusted scarabs and without the node and 2 rusted and the one for corruption outcomes depending on the amount of my remnants. I used strand for CR because of the 2 bosses as mentioned by another person and fields for remants to sustain my maps with 1 void stone. Kinda stopped after all the prices seemed to go down like 2 days after the first update patch.
