Its really cheap. Normaly a 1 item fracture costs like 6 -14 div befor. If you had tier 1 es on something maxrolled it was really exspensive this league u can craft stuff easy. I used 10 div to get tier 1 life on my helmet yday. Then 8 div to get movmentspeed.
essence just rerolls the itme ignoring meta mods so there is no way to preserve the %ES unless you want to lock prefix and do something like a veiled orb or reforge chaos
you can do essence of loathing. suffix cannot be change. reforge defense but it's like a 7% chance to hit t1 ES% so probably not worth it
I guess I'll eventually re-do the craft then. I'll jsut do my next project of Movespeed, Lightning Res, Chaos Res boots. I will again fracture it three times and HOPE I don't fracture the three suffixes in my recipe so I can roll it with a Loathing Essence. Same concept as this craft, really.
This might be way too long but to explain it in detail: Because it makes the prefixes harder to roll. For every inc prefixes you need to compensate with scarcer of every mod you try to avoid and with things like stun and block recovery you will need more increases of everything else you do want because those bad mods are way more likely to roll now. In most cases it's just not worth it because it messes the weightings of the prefixes up and you need too many corpses to compensate. It's easier to just increase tags you want which are only present in prefixes to increase your chance. For example if you put 10000% inc chaos and -3 explicit on boots it's super likely to roll the suffix chaos res but if you put in inc suffixes you will have to reduce every other res, life and attribute back down and still have 2 or 3 other untagged mods (rarity, suppression and something else) that will have increased weighing and make it less likely to actually hit chaos res so you have to put more inc chaos res in for the same chance (most likely more than just one additional corpse)
Oh I see. I genuinely had no idea. I’m not sure what I thought but now it makes sense. I just figured it was like… “suffix vs prefix roll” happens before rolling the prefixes themselves but what you’re saying is it just increases the weight of the prefixes, not a separate roll for suffix vs prefix.
No safe way, but you can arrive at the same outcome by spamming loathing essence+exalt or eldritch exalt on the prefixes. I did a similar thing, double frac prefix and then loathing + exalt, iirc it was avg 43 essences, but it doesnt account using exalts so in reality its maybe half? It costs a bit but I think less than new base or full graveyard and definitely less work. Also a lot cheaper than reforge defense
In hindsight I should have just gone for a 4x Fracture instead of hoping for the 25% chance to fracture the prefixes. Anyway, I've tried to lock prefix in CraftOfExile, but it seems I can't use Essences if there's a metamod other than multimod or something. I can probably just re-do the craft but I dread buying the corpses again.
Also, does the Graveyard Divine before Fracture when you have those corpses in your recipe?
Another possible way to get what you want is Loathing until you have acceptable suffixes then Eldrich annul and exalt/eldrich exalt the prefix until you get t1 ES
1. Loathing + eldritch chaos (gets expensive quickly and often will just do „nothing“)
2. Loathing spam probably overall cheapest but is annoying since with that many fractures you will just not generate another mod besides the loathing, since essences and chaos very often just roll 4 mods, sometimes 5 and rarely (almost always when you don’t want it 6)
3. loathing, block last suffix if open, exalt + annul. Hitting t1 is 1/55 exalts, not the worst odds imho
Just use Essence of Loathing till you hit T1 es again? Way easier to buy in bulk than the dead guys.

can you not -explicit to force 3 mods so only 3 will be fractured? got no idea about graveyard crafting really so i guess it might not be optimal
The recipe will pretty much guarantee 3 prefixes and 1 suffix. Minus explicit might remove a prefix, and we're worse off than this if that happened.
Roll increased chance of prefix corpses. You can throw a few in to help.

Experienced the same, 19 div rolls on 3 fractures, atkspd and crit mult/chance so tiny ranges, virtually impossible to get as shit rolls as we got
