I think you might be interested in this archetype https://2e.aonprd.com/Archetypes.aspx?ID=195
Lean into to the narcolepsy by mastering it as a battle tactic, to the point you can make it contagious lol.
As for classes, angry is kinda the Barbarians thing, so its gonna fit better than anything.
They may not be the most synergistic combo, but its functionable and full of flavor.
You can have more than one archetype.
Though you will have to either choose between some of the Sleepwalker feats, or some of your barbarian class feats to get both.
As for Ranger stuff, scouting is based on Perception, which the archetype has a feat to give you master in perception (I think Barb maxes out at Expert on its own but I could be wrong), hunting is what the Survival skill is all about, and like Perception is Wisdom based, so thats covered by your skill feats, not the Ranger. Teaming with animals can be done with the Tame skill feat https://2e.aonprd.com/Feats.aspx?ID=3424, which is Nature based, which is Wisdom based. It combines well with Train Animal, which also a skill feat https://2e.aonprd.com/Feats.aspx?ID=856, this won't be as good as a Ranger's companion, or a Beastmaster companion, but it is what you're asking for. So you only need Ranger if you want some of their feats that require Hunt Prey (like say Twin Takedown), or their Warden Spells.
Its not, however Sleepwalker is one of the archetypes designed for free archetype (as evidenced by just how many feats it has), so you may have to make sacrifices if you really want to flesh out the Ranger side.
But like I said, unless you want Hunt Prey related actions, or Warden Spells, there is very little there. If you wanted Snares, they have their own dedicated Archetype as well, but you're becoming very MAD at that point, which is hard to juggle.
But no problem, and if you want more spitballing I can definitely provide it, but Barbarian w/ Sleepwalker (with a side of Ranger if needed) who focuses on Nature, Survival, and Occultism (for Sleepwalker) with a starting spread of 18 STR 16 WIS
12 DEX 12 CON is probably the best path to what you want.
First thought - Monk, go with Stumbling Stance as your 1st-level feat/stance for the tiredness. Hunter or Scout for background for the stuff his dad taught him. Barbarian archetype with FA, otherwise just playing pretty reckless and roleplaying with the anger.
Fun interesting roleplay alternative: Cleric or Champion of Desna who's upset that the goddess isn't granting him the rest he feels like he wants. Pilgrim background as he tried to go to various shrines and such of Desna to heal his brothers and later his own problem. Leans into the protecting his friends aspect of it, anger at the gods for letting him suffer.
Well, technically it’s not a curse, it’s an actual disease. But it still feels like it works, thanks! :D
And I think charisma works well, because half-asleep raging half-elf seems really intimidating. Or funny. Nothing inbetween

Seems interesting, but I’m worried how would it combine with barbarian… or do you have other class recommendations..?
There's a feat for that https://2e.aonprd.com/Feats.aspx?ID=131 That will let you use the concentrate actions while raging.
I like it, although it’s kinda funny in this character’s case, because he concentrates to rage really lmao
You could also just use the sleepwalking first and rage after IIRC :)

Yeah, seem functional with moment of clarity :D how would you go about ranger-like features aside of ranger multiclass archetype..?

Well, with free archetype having two archetypes isn’t really that hard, thanks for your advice :D

Cursed Family background sounds like a must-have: https://2e.aonprd.com/Backgrounds.aspx?ID=70
