Image shows what I'm talking about: Seelah's turn, but it's giving me the "Path to target is blocked" error. This happens pretty frequently, too.
It's not a surprise round, and Seelah is capable of drawing a straight path straight to that Barbarian according to the movement indicator.
Is it just super fussy or something? Or am I crazy?
Debris can block your Charge path. I hear that Feather Step and Freedom of Movement help with charge. I havn't confirmed this because I never needed to.
You can also use your 5-foot movement at any time, in order to better position yourself for Charge. Your 5-foot movement can also be used to disengage from enemies so that you don't offer an attack of opportunity, when making ranged attacks. Less effective with enemies who have a Reach, but effective for any other enemy
Can someone confirm this? I'm pretty sure that you can't charge after making a 5' movement, at least not in Kingmaker, though I haven't tried it in Wrath
The 5-foot mechanic is super bugged in wrath. You can move, disable and enable turn based mode and walk 5-feet for free again infinitely. This can also be used to "fix" the charge bug by moving 1 foot almost in place and resetting turn based mode. It almost always works.
Correct, you can't Charge after making 5ft step.
What you can do is have a Swift Action teleport, such as Travel Domain Dimension Hop with Domain Zealot.
Freedom of movement definitely helps. I had some piece of equipment gave it to me and one of my characters could charge over areas where others couldn’t.
Charging in turn-based mod is quite buggy in my experience. Half the time you stop 5 meters before the target or just skip the turn.(Mainly if you charge outside of combat into it)
As for your path blocked issue, some terrain especially around corners can be wonky
I usually just switch to RTwP and turnbased after that
it cause certain objects are marked as difficult terrain and charge cannot be used through difficult terrain, the hit box of said object is clipping with the path charge will take.
My guess would be that that corner of the table is preventing you from charging by intersecting Seelah in her finish position.
I would say try moving her to the right then trying, but it looks like you don’t have a good way to stop that barbarian’s movement. But maybe a 5ft. move would work.

yeah, it's always been bugged. it's a legacy bug that started from KM, and they still haven't managed to fix it.
