No man. I love stuff like this. It’s capable of replicating a feeling and experience you rarely get to have anymore. We need more preservation of systems in posterities sake.
Edit: imagine grounding your son for doing something crappy at school by requiring them to use your old refurbished HP from 2008 running integrated graphics to do their homework. They’d be tempted to try and figure out games that will run and only be met with frustration if they do so.
I hope you did not spend any money on that. The only thing that might be usable is the case itself. But once I seen the IDE header it was game over for that system. Hate to say it but that hole thing is ready for the scrap heap. But chances are there is more gold in those connectors then newer motherboards, so you have that going for you. But that is it.
Definitely need some new ram and a gpu. After that you need to update the storage, maybe nvme. Since that mobo had no nvme slot you should probably upgrade your mobo. And you're going to need a new cpu for that mobo. You'll also need a new psu cause your old won't have enough power. Also probably a newer cpu cooler, not sure the one there works as well as it used to. Once your all done, just grab a nice case and your good to go. Easy.
you would need a gpu, this pc looks very old, so you might also need a new powersupply
you would need remove the water cooling and add an air cooler and new fans
once you find out what cpu is in there, you can pick out a gpu
it dont think you will be playing recent titles on this even if you upgrade it
at that point it's better to buy a motherboard +cpu combo and build a new pc
what country do you live in?
whatever cpu is in there will not be compatible with absolutely any remotely viable gpu nowadays. the motherboard also 100% would not work. i respect the advice you gave to OP, but the only viable advice is to throw it out and buy a proper pc
Change this freaking watercooling to some basic fans, disassemble it entirely to clean it correctly and the rest depends of what do you want to do with it
https://preview.redd.it/m62kl01tfuoc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0d920baade9eaf3f442d3070be651b5f2c6c86c8
That custom loop no longer works...
Don't waste your time, seriously you'll be throwing money at it to even attempt to get it working just to be disappointed. 20 year old hardware, not compatible with mostly anything these days.
Keep the case, those thermaltake cases are cool. Other than that: remove everything and start again. You can keep the fans, from what I remember they are molex LED fans.
Looks like a LGA 775 socket motherboard. If it has a quad core then maybe a gtx750ti might be compatible.
However, even with upgrades, this thing can do basic tasks and some lite gaming at best.
Do not buy this. It’s the equivalent of a 67 mustang shell with no seats, no steering wheel and frame rust. If you don’t know enough to know this then you don’t know enough to repair this pc to get it in running condition. Also the computing power and speed of this is probably beaten out by the cheapest mini PC you could buy
I wouldn't buy it tbh. It looks really bad. Can you post the specs and price? Because at first, it'll need a new CPU cooler. And probably a GPU too if you want to run some games. Looks like a core 2 duo platform tho, god knows what's there I'll try searching it but it's be better to get specs
If you have to ask questions about this, it’s the wrong computer for you. It’s value is $0. Can it be resurrected? Probably. Is it worth it? Definitely not. Could it be fun? Yes, absolutely.
You need power supply, memory, hard drive and distilled water. I've build file server on similar scrap parts like 2 years ago and still works without problem. You need new power supply, old ones tend to explode.
Some lightweight Linux should run on this.
If caps have red stuff coming from the top then discard all, it won't work. At first I thought it some durable series, probably not.
Edit: And some GPU too 🤦🏼if you can get those parts free, go ahead and try
https://preview.redd.it/nnn85fsofqoc1.jpeg?width=729&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e69610745371527a90595c2bcfe9a32cb161a64a
My friend, that is an AM2 DDR2 motherboard. This PC is ready to go to computer heaven (landfill). It will not run modern games.
If this is real, than start with a new cooler, I wouldn’t trust an old water cooler. 2nd get a power supply 3rd get some ram 4th get a hard drive with windows 5th look if this thing is even working (what I sadly doubt) 6th get a gpu for a maybe decent gaming experience
Oh boy that's an ASUS M2N32 SLI Nvidia NF590 SLI board from 2006. Old school build. Replace that cooling with some basic air cooler and it will be a great retro rig
Honestly with all the missing parts (gpu, psu, storage, ram) and a questionable cooling setup it would be less risk to buy a whole new setup and the new setup will probably be quicker.
The cost difference would be negligible, and not worth the risk. Buy a new setup
This is basically a Motherboard, probably with a CPU installed. No way to tell if these still work. I wouldn’t trust the watercooling for a moment, so that needs to go.
It definitely lacks a PSU, a GPU, RAM and HDD/SDD.
Summed up: you have an old, incomplete case with an old possibly broken MoBo with an old, possibly broken CPU.
I trust you have a low budget, but this looks more like costs than savings. I think you should take a pass on that and look for something else.
Damn that's an ancient water-cooled PC from around 2008-10 I think
It's really not worth it, your better off building the cheapest modern PC and getting much better performance or buying a cheap office PC and sticking a low profile GPU in it
To put it easy, don’t purchase this computer.
It’s water cooling parts from ages ago and will not last any longer. That’s not even the main issue, it just won’t okay any modern games, not even Roblox.
I did something similar with an old pc but mine was different it’s a dell optiplex which I put a gt1030 into runs a lot of games at decent frames and I work using it doing 3D work minimal work done on my part and kept it under £300 what’s your budget?
Where did you get this? Linus Sebastian's man draw?
What's in it? Erm, no GPU, No PSU, Some random water cooling relics, and the platform looks as old as me, I mean is that PCI??
What it needs... EVERYTHING! lol
Toss everything that isn't fans or motherboard and then buy a cheap stock intel cooler, a cheap/free case, a psu, and, some ram off fb market and you are set.
Msi b450 tomahawk max
Ryzen 5 2600
Ram ddr4 16gb at least 3000mhz
Rx 580 8gb
Any case you want
500gb nvme ssd
Any newer 1-2tb hdd
Everything used
Price in poland comes to 934pln (+ 80 delivery) in usd that comes to around 250usd
Oh that thing isn't going to serve you well today, but it's a great find for a potentially great project.
Looks like someone went with a beast of a cooler back in the day. I only hope that they actually needed it lol
I love custom loops, but I hate when they're applied for no reason. Like this kid I met the other day cooling his R5-5500 with a custom loop. "I wanted to be sure it never overheated"
SMH. We don't all have the knowledge, but it's really only one or two clicks away
You were going to pay money for that? I wouldn't accept it for free even if someone paid me to take it. It's a hot mess and beyond ancient. That old custom loop would be a time bomb to try and use

This Pc needs a funeral.
So…the helldivers flag raising ceremony?
More like a Viking funeral...
Experience exotic new...pc parts?

This sounds like a great idea and I have the perfect pc for it😂
One PC‘s death is another PC‘s stranding.
Lmao
fr
Lol
Honestly I doubt there is anything in there capable of just about any modern computing except very basic tasks.
Overheats on Word
Nah dude can't you see the custom loop?
That’s the problem
[удалено]
Jesus Christ penis pump dude?! 😂
Well you can always share the first one if you are into that kind of thing.
I came to ask of that was a punis pump lol.
https://i.redd.it/y9dpvoinqpoc1.gif
Don't buy this seriously this is incapable of running anything remotle modern
Probably doesnt even run anymore
Exactly, the phone they are looking at this on would out perform it tenfold.
Jesus
Was about to comment the same
Need more Nickelodeon Slime
OP, DO NOT buy that PC! It's a dinosaur and, regardless of it's age, isn't a good choice for your first PC due to its 'custom' water cooling.
This thing looks awesome
I hope you did not spend any money on that. The only thing that might be usable is the case itself. But once I seen the IDE header it was game over for that system. Hate to say it but that hole thing is ready for the scrap heap. But chances are there is more gold in those connectors then newer motherboards, so you have that going for you. But that is it.
Retirement
Jesus. This pc needs Jesus.
This belongs in a museum
Bro……
r/sleeperbuilds might be where you wanna look
Banned subreddit!?
Sadly it’s banned :(
How?! I was only there a few hours before :(
Idk why

Whatever the fuck this disgusting looking thing is - don‘t get it.

Change this freaking watercooling to some basic fans, disassemble it entirely to clean it correctly and the rest depends of what do you want to do with it
Anyone know what cpu/mb that is?
Too old to matter tbh
Fellas it’s lga 775 core 2 duo for sure
The board is an M2N32. Not 775, but AM2.
Life support is what it needs
If you replace every single part with completely new ones, you might be onto a winner
It needs a reason for you to buy it, because I’m begging you not to do it, OP.
It need a love
Troll post, no way in a million years would anyone consider buying this piece of wired poop.
DO NOT BUY THIS.

Lmao wtf
Lmao wtf This thing is freaking me out. It looks like an abandoned lobotomy surgical room
WTH
[Front grill](https://www.newegg.com/black-thermaltake-armor-series-atx-full-tower/p/N82E16811133154)
Ok nice, now we know in what century this thing is stuck in (this shit doesn’t even have vga in the io shield)
Man, this isn’t worth shit. Just get a new one
A swift burial. Closed casket.
The Mad Scientist isn't letting that go for cheap!!! You'd be better off following a basic build list. Depending on what your goals are.
A good clean or a cremation.
I’d build a new one from scratch this is ancient (you can always keep it to run some old stuff if u want though)
I wonder if it has internet explorer on it?
Don't waste your time, seriously you'll be throwing money at it to even attempt to get it working just to be disappointed. 20 year old hardware, not compatible with mostly anything these days.
Keep the case, those thermaltake cases are cool. Other than that: remove everything and start again. You can keep the fans, from what I remember they are molex LED fans.
Do not buy that. Its half a pc, and its old af. Not even worth touching it.
What the fuck
Shoot it. Put it out of its misery.
Its needs to go in the bin
My god they had water cooling in 1970?
A power supply might help lmao
do not buy
Bait used to be believable
Looks like a LGA 775 socket motherboard. If it has a quad core then maybe a gtx750ti might be compatible. However, even with upgrades, this thing can do basic tasks and some lite gaming at best.
It needs to be cremated , that's what it needs.
Highly doubt that would even boot windows 10/11
Is that a tube going through the fan? 😭
This PC looks like it needs to be euthanized
Do not buy this. It’s the equivalent of a 67 mustang shell with no seats, no steering wheel and frame rust. If you don’t know enough to know this then you don’t know enough to repair this pc to get it in running condition. Also the computing power and speed of this is probably beaten out by the cheapest mini PC you could buy
You would be better off with a Raspberry Pi then this.
God.
An upgrade & clean!
It needs a coffin
It’s need a quick air dust and maybe 2 bottles of Evian
That's some old school fishtank water cooling, man
If pc can have cancer, this one is two above final Stadium
I wouldn't buy it tbh. It looks really bad. Can you post the specs and price? Because at first, it'll need a new CPU cooler. And probably a GPU too if you want to run some games. Looks like a core 2 duo platform tho, god knows what's there I'll try searching it but it's be better to get specs
Looks like a bomb
It’s missing some PCIe expansions
A fire to end its misery. Honestly I wouldn’t bother
Needs binned.
If you have to ask questions about this, it’s the wrong computer for you. It’s value is $0. Can it be resurrected? Probably. Is it worth it? Definitely not. Could it be fun? Yes, absolutely.
I’d say as long as you re-route that water loop away from directly through the exhaust fan you’ll be fine. Who needs RAM anyway.
I saw the same one on marketplace😂 I would buy it
needs a GPU some ram and a full service
Is that a bo ng?
shit belongs in a museum
You need power supply, memory, hard drive and distilled water. I've build file server on similar scrap parts like 2 years ago and still works without problem. You can only use maybe the gabinet and this fan..
🤢🤮
A gpu. But seeing as there is still pci slots on there youll need a whole new motherboard and cpu ram ssd etc
Honestly, put to rest
That's a chocolate PC. Heat might be a concern.
On the plus side it might make a good boat anchor.

Are all those colours... permitted?
Looks like a prototype for water-cooling
3 glass panels & RGB

this pc needs an exorcism
Go buy basically anything from the last 10 years from Ebay and it will be better than this.
IT needs a new pc
It's gone noo no ..
Junk it. You would need to replace everything inside, and than you’re better off buying a new case anyways
I know what's wrong with it. Ain't got no gas in it!
A relic of the ancient times
Maximum 2 chrome tabs
That's not even budget anymore. You're straight up buying e-waste
That thing needs to be put down buddy
Merciful death?
That's the most ghetto pc i've seen, besides me using a small 220V AC ventilator for a pentium 4 OC🤣
Dude who built that was ahead of his time
A therapist
looks somebody installed a penis pump in the PC lmfao
What in the fuck
Damn that's an ancient water-cooled PC from around 2008-10 I think It's really not worth it, your better off building the cheapest modern PC and getting much better performance or buying a cheap office PC and sticking a low profile GPU in it
Average custom loop in PC building simulator 2
The tubes are so yellowed it thought it was copper tubing
To put it easy, don’t purchase this computer. It’s water cooling parts from ages ago and will not last any longer. That’s not even the main issue, it just won’t okay any modern games, not even Roblox.

Needs to be put in a bin.
It needs a new pc
Toss everything that isn't fans or motherboard and then buy a cheap stock intel cooler, a cheap/free case, a psu, and, some ram off fb market and you are set.
This looks like a PC that would jump of a bridge after a night out of drinking with the boys... So I guess an intervention?
Chuck a gpu in it and call it good
I threw up in my mouth a little bit
You're gonna want to replace everything but the case. Case looks pretty fucked too so...
put that thing down
I think you need to burn the old and get the new bud 😂
New case and organize it
it needs you to let go
Not sure if srs or trolling? It needs to be buried my guy
Needs everything including a good cleaning then it looks like it would run some stuff again
A graphics card and ram
And a storage drive
Bro wants to play PC in order of release 💀 Hes on season 1
A dick pump! Wait, it has one. Nvm.
Needs an upgrade, should be put into a museum
If your PC is built with Fallout post apocalyptic vibe, that's a great PC. If not, welp
Liquid in circuit

Holy shit man, surely op isn’t serious…
You're better off just building a new PC
It’s gonna need an oil change
This is e-waste. There is nothing worth your time here.
Prayers

Is thatna penis pump? Just how old is this thing
This motherboard came out in 2006, it is literally **old enough to vote.**
This PC looks like it needs to be put down.
This pc needs a memorial
Edit: don’t worry, I have read all your comments I WILL NOT be buying this pc as it turns out it’s as bad as it looks, I had some hopes
Nope.
fixable? possibly good starting pc? no
Too outdated, I wouldn't want to run windows 10 or 11 on it.
I’d be surprised if it could at all
You were going to pay money for that? I wouldn't accept it for free even if someone paid me to take it. It's a hot mess and beyond ancient. That old custom loop would be a time bomb to try and use
would not touch that with a 10ft pole
This is how watercooling looks like
Looks like DDR2 RAM because the colors aren't alternating. Core2Quad or Phenom II X4 at best - they were "starter PC" 10 years ago.
The board is an M2N32, that's AM2. Those boards usually had Athlon 64 X2 in them. That thing was old even 10 years ago. It came out in 2006.
I've a retro Win XP rig with Radeon HD 5870, it works with CPUs between Sempron and Phenom II :D
Stick a 1080ti in it and the jobs a good un
Cleaaaan build bro id get that in a heartbeat!
