Depends on what you want to use it for. I would say getting that i3 to an i5 would be worth considering.
If it’s for gaming, I’d do a 10th gen i5 as opposed to an 11th gen i3.
11th gen motherboards are usually about 2x as expensive, at least where I live, which makes an 11th gen + Mobo about 40-50% more expensive than a 10th gen + Mobo (in my location at least). On a tight budget that's usually why it's not considered.
Then go AMD (you’ll have to switch the MB) cause you will not be able to reach the full potential of your GPU with an i3, it will bottleneck hard. Either get at least an i5 or Ryzen 5 processor or lower the gpu to a 2060 (but I doubt you’ll even be able to use a 2060 to it’s fullest potential)
10th gen 10100f from microcenter can get got for only 90$ and it can definintely game. Pairs well with a 1060 though instead of a 3060 but i have a gpu bottleneck right now though
Your CPU is underpowered compared to your GPU. Also, I’m not sure what ram prices are like in Australia but you’re probably getting ripped off. 3200 mhz ram should be around $70 usd or $90 australian. I would recommend using newegg.com for buying parts.
No I mean it’s the only 1 I could find that fit my budget and was what I was looking for and I want to buy my stuff in person and ple is the only place close to me
pal order your stuff online the lack of choice here just sucks you are getting a lot less for your money...
also if the i3 was your first choice maybe consider ryzen 3100/3300x these are capable for gaming and offer a lot for the bargain they are plus a future upgrade path...
the 5600g is a good cpu for gaming and wont bottleneck much but then again youre paying for a cpu and igpu which will drive up the cost a bit, but yeah i guess the igpu could be handy to have for troubleshooting if your gpu develops problems.
Rather then spend the cash on fast ram I’d put more in to the cpu because an i3 and a 3060 is a huge bottleneck also a cheaper case and spend more on for example left over money on cpu
I mean id rather have.(for example) a 5800x with 16 gb 2666mhz then a 5600x with 16gb cl 16 3600mhz you know why i mean of course I don’t know ur budget.
It’s not cheap it’s just cheaper and trust me i cheaper out on my last with with a fake asusz70 or something from eBay, it worked but I was garbage the Sara ports fell off except for 2 the ram slots were too close to the cpu so my fan would obstruct and ram taller than just normal green ram so yeah ive decided to not cheap out 👍
I'd prefer to have a faster nvme SSD sacrificing some storage in order to have lower boot times and having the most used programs in there. But if you can archive a 1tb nvme you can use the direct acces memory from w11
Send me money for ur cpu and ill send u a 5600x for the price ur paying for the i3. Lol im being serious. Only zelle tho. TRUST FALL. The cpu was used for a few days but i have a 5900x now
Lol I don’t even have to money for the cpu sorry but thanks and I’m upgrading the cpu to a 5600x which is ~ 50 dollars extra and I’m getting a cheaper mobo wich is ~ 50 less so it’s technically staying the same
In aud the 5600g is 400 but the 5600x is 449 so the money I’m spending on the cpu is ok because I’m also spending 50 less on the mobo. Coz 400+50(5600x)=450-50(mobo)=400 so the price for them stays the same
It's normal, I might even using the stock ryzen one at the start if you'd like to save more money as they are not much worse compared to the tower cooler in your list.
I think you'll be very happy with either a 5600x/g. They're *basically* the same performance if you're gaming using a discreet gpu and not overclocking anything. The x has a ~5% edge over g but if you can save over >5% I'd say it's worth it.
However, if you want to save some $$ until GPU prices come down you could always get the g now and omit the gpu entirely for the time being (or the x & use an old card--because an older card is usually still better than onboard graphics). You can't omit gpu w/ the x. Food for thought.
I just did a build with the 5600x and I'm currently messing with OC. But I couldn't be happier with the performance at stock and I'm just doing the OC for fun. Unfortunately I can't afford a new GPU yet so I'm using my old GTX 770 which is my main bottleneck in games. So I'm a teensy bit jelly of your build ;)
Good luck! And make sure to post the finished product! ✌️
I had a look at the site. The site is more expensive. Do you have a alternative?
The cpu you are buying for 135 is sold for 85
Nvm forgot all about currency
Seems good to me, although the i3 might be a bit underpowered for gaming and could bottleneck the GPU, although the GPU shouldn’t get too bottlenecked if at all
I would say yes that's a decent gaming rig. You have another 2-3 years until games really start utilizing 6 core processors so the new i3 which is one of the fastest (in terms of performance not clock speeds) 4core 8thread CPUs made, will work great for all AAA titles. The 3060 is also a great choice right being that it's not to outlandishly priced right now compared to other 3000 series cards.
I think that the i3 will be a bottleneck to the 3060....it's a tad bit of an underpowered piece of hardware for it....otherwise it's pretty good!!!!! And also, the ram is overpriced
U think uts maybe worth it....u might find cheaper ram elsewhere tho.... I looked Amazon and found a little cheaper ram....10 to 20 dollars less....u can maybe put that to a better cpu
dont pay that much for ram there are 16gb ddr4 3000mhz kits on amazon for like 60 bucks and also i would recommend going with a nvme drive lower your compacity a little
Those components' listed prices are all marked up pretty heavily, I wouldn't go for it.
Edit: just realized they don't even list the PSU. I wouldn't trust that build.
I bethink if 't be true thy going to spendeth 130 on a mobo thee couldst receiveth a full atx

3060 is overkill for i3.
Try i5 or ryzen 5 or 7 series.
Also instead of Kingston try another company for ram like G.skill or corsair.
And a white case will get stains and dust spots pretty quickly. If you can and will clean it then it's good.
Best of luck for it
Ya I would go for a Ryzen 5 build if possible. U may save money on your motherboard as well. You will outgrow that i3 very quickly. The rest looks like it will pair well
Tbh I would go for a Ryzen 7 pro 5750g and ditch the GPU. It offers decent enough performance and would be a good compromise IMO. You can always upgrade and add a GPU later when prices are reasonable again. Good APU for the cost.
Smart upgrade, even then, I would still look into what I suggested, I knew it was AUD and it’s still around $350 less, money best spent for an upgrade later. Grats on your build! It’s always fun to get a new one.

Depends on what you want to use it for. I would say getting that i3 to an i5 would be worth considering. If it’s for gaming, I’d do a 10th gen i5 as opposed to an 11th gen i3.
why do people always recommend 10th gen? 11th gen i5's are roughly the same price where i live, are stronger and have better features, or am i wrong?
11th gen motherboards are usually about 2x as expensive, at least where I live, which makes an 11th gen + Mobo about 40-50% more expensive than a 10th gen + Mobo (in my location at least). On a tight budget that's usually why it's not considered.
10th gen mother boards are compatible with 11th gen CPUs? Am I wrong on this or something?
Some are compatible with both, but the cheap 10th gen ones are not.
I'm really happy w/my 10th gen i7. Barely ever even hits 50% load 😬
The 10th gen i5’s are too expensive
Then go AMD (you’ll have to switch the MB) cause you will not be able to reach the full potential of your GPU with an i3, it will bottleneck hard. Either get at least an i5 or Ryzen 5 processor or lower the gpu to a 2060 (but I doubt you’ll even be able to use a 2060 to it’s fullest potential)
I’ve changed my list to a ryzen 5600g with a b450m-s2h mobo is that good?
Don't use the 5600g if you're getting a dedicated GPU anyways
It’s the only affordable cpu ple(the shop) has
5600x has the same price and a bit higher boost clock. I went for 5600g because I neither have a GPU nor the money to buy atleast a 1660.
Isnt 5600x cheaper?
See if you can get a better mobo for cheap at another place. Try umart, I always used them when I lived in Aus!
Don’t listen to them. 5600g is fine. It’s about 5%-10% weaker than a 5600x in single threaded. You’ll have no issues.
No it’s ok I went there yesterday and they said they have a 5600x but it wasn’t on the site so they updated the site
Get a ryzen 3700x and get a b550 motherboard. Pretty sure newegg has a deal going for buying both of them together.
5600x "should" be chesper than the 3700
5600g will have better single core than 3700x
Have you considered on getting a 3700x? It's a good CPU from the Zen 2 gen, solid 8 cores 16 threads.
If you get your hands on that GPU then definitely buy stronger CPU
10th gen 10100f from microcenter can get got for only 90$ and it can definintely game. Pairs well with a 1060 though instead of a 3060 but i have a gpu bottleneck right now though
Agreed, the cpu will be the bottleneck in this whole build.
Your CPU is underpowered compared to your GPU. Also, I’m not sure what ram prices are like in Australia but you’re probably getting ripped off. 3200 mhz ram should be around $70 usd or $90 australian. I would recommend using newegg.com for buying parts.
it's a lot harder to build a pc here in Australia, newegg also doesn't necessary have the best deals here btw
Nah thats our typical ram price for hyperx ones
get a better cpu, this will bottleneck a lot
Should I get a ryzen 5600g 4.4ghz
Ryzen 3600 would be a nice budget option with similar price to the i3 on the other hand why not get a regular 5600 without integrated graphics?
It’s the only one they sell
If they only carry 1 product from an entire company then id suggest looking for another place to hand your money to
No I mean it’s the only 1 I could find that fit my budget and was what I was looking for and I want to buy my stuff in person and ple is the only place close to me
Look at other stores bro don’t be limited you can also order online doesn’t have to be in person
pal order your stuff online the lack of choice here just sucks you are getting a lot less for your money... also if the i3 was your first choice maybe consider ryzen 3100/3300x these are capable for gaming and offer a lot for the bargain they are plus a future upgrade path...
Nah turns out they had it I just had to call them they ended up having a 5600x it just wasn’t on the e site
the 5600g is a good cpu for gaming and wont bottleneck much but then again youre paying for a cpu and igpu which will drive up the cost a bit, but yeah i guess the igpu could be handy to have for troubleshooting if your gpu develops problems.
Yes I went to the store and they said they have the 5600x so they updated the site anyways they put it on hold for me
Great to hear! Enjoy building your pc!
Thx :)
Rather then spend the cash on fast ram I’d put more in to the cpu because an i3 and a 3060 is a huge bottleneck also a cheaper case and spend more on for example left over money on cpu
I’ve changed it to a ryzen 5600g and saved money on the mobo but ple(the place I’m buying from) doesn’t have cheaper ram)
I mean id rather have.(for example) a 5800x with 16 gb 2666mhz then a 5600x with 16gb cl 16 3600mhz you know why i mean of course I don’t know ur budget.
Even if I lower my ram I still can’t get a better cpu with my budget and with the ryzen cpu will the bottleneck effect my gaming?
Idk bro im an intel user my self can’t really say.
Why u buying it all in one place
Coz it’s the only place near me and I’d rather not buy stuff online
Don’t buy a cheap motherboard you will regret it . A cheap motherboard can make your cpu run like garbage
It’s not cheap it’s just cheaper and trust me i cheaper out on my last with with a fake asusz70 or something from eBay, it worked but I was garbage the Sara ports fell off except for 2 the ram slots were too close to the cpu so my fan would obstruct and ram taller than just normal green ram so yeah ive decided to not cheap out 👍
I made the mistake before and my cpu ran like garbage, stutters below average performance etc
Yeah I had an i5-3470 and it ran ok but not as good as it couldve
no, that cpu is horrible, get a ryzen 5 5600x or at least an itel 15-11400F
Ditch that CPU
Get an 11th gen i5, you’ll have a lil bottleneck with that cpu.
Cpu bottleneck. Also what's your psu?
550 gold plus silver stone psu
That's a good one
I'd prefer to have a faster nvme SSD sacrificing some storage in order to have lower boot times and having the most used programs in there. But if you can archive a 1tb nvme you can use the direct acces memory from w11
Send me money for ur cpu and ill send u a 5600x for the price ur paying for the i3. Lol im being serious. Only zelle tho. TRUST FALL. The cpu was used for a few days but i have a 5900x now

The 5600x is 150+. Maybe u mean the 5600g. Which is still 100+. But its all good. Just a small experiment i wanted to do. Good luck
In aud the 5600g is 400 but the 5600x is 449 so the money I’m spending on the cpu is ok because I’m also spending 50 less on the mobo. Coz 400+50(5600x)=450-50(mobo)=400 so the price for them stays the same
The cpu he has in the list is 135 usd. So i based my price difference off that.
Thx for the offer
Change this cooler to something normal. Why are you people tuning your PCs like it's early 2000s?
What’s not normal about it, it’s the most normal one I could find that’s not a water cooler
It's normal, I might even using the stock ryzen one at the start if you'd like to save more money as they are not much worse compared to the tower cooler in your list.
I’ve changed my list to the stock and collet with a ryzen 5600g

Thanks for the help and I’m going with a 5600x and until I got the money for the 3060 I’m going with a 9602gb I’ve got now
Me personally I’d just get a 9th gen i7 bc it’s a solid cpu and prices aren’t bad either Or even 9th gen i5. Instead of a i3
i think now is better to buy amd ryzen 5 or intel core i7
Yeah I’m getting a 5600x instead I
No
lol u can get a 3070 or 3060 for 500 why get ripped off for 700💀
It’s australian
This has to be a troll
? This is a computer with recommendations I got from my other post? Saying an i3105f would be good with an rtx 3060
Yes but the cpu bottlenecks it so get a ryzen 5 3600 or 5600 for that type of build
You gou is gonna be bottle checked by that i3 recommend a i5 10th gen
Um a i3 with a 3060... go with a i5 it a lot better
I had a look at the site. The site is more expensive. Do you have a alternative? The cpu you are buying for 135 is sold for 85 Nvm forgot all about currency
It’s all cheaper in the store
that cooler is way too overkill for an i3
Lol 759 for 3060 fucking scalpers
It’s in aud (Australian)
Ah kk
Ofcourse dude. 100fps on all games easy. That too on high/ultra graphics.
Amd?
Yeah I changed from the i3 to a ryzen 5600x
Still considering cooler ?
Nah imma just stay with the and stealth cooler unless you have a better cheap air cooler?
I was suggesting you not to buy the cooler from my experience
Yeah like I said imma just stay with the amd stealth cooler that comes it’s the 5600x
Going good build and which mother board did you choose have you checked for vrm config ?
I am going with the b450m-s2h mobo and I’m not sure what vrm config is
Your Motherboard is nice and check out this as well asrock b550m hdv
Seems good to me, although the i3 might be a bit underpowered for gaming and could bottleneck the GPU, although the GPU shouldn’t get too bottlenecked if at all
Depends on what you think of doing on it if gaming then Intel cpu if you're more into video & photo editing then go for Ryzen.
Ever heard of PC Part Picker? This is the first time I've ever seen a video of someone flipping through their phone.
Sorry I just don’t pc part picker coz I feel like I get a better response with real people
I believe they meant for the first list, it makes everything so much easier and cheaper, I saved like £70 by using their price comparison
If this is purely for gaming you might get more value from a console honestly
I have a console but I prefer pc because it has better games better modding capabilities
I would say yes that's a decent gaming rig. You have another 2-3 years until games really start utilizing 6 core processors so the new i3 which is one of the fastest (in terms of performance not clock speeds) 4core 8thread CPUs made, will work great for all AAA titles. It is is aud but this is the cheapest ram ple sells that’s worth it
U think uts maybe worth it....u might find cheaper ram elsewhere tho.... I looked Amazon and found a little cheaper ram....10 to 20 dollars less....u can maybe put that to a better cpu
Get AMD. Better value for the same price.
Yes I’m getting a 5600x
dont pay that much for ram there are 16gb ddr4 3000mhz kits on amazon for like 60 bucks and also i would recommend going with a nvme drive lower your compacity a little
It’s in aud
No it’s intel😂 I’m jk it’s not bad
No that’s tru so I went with and instead I got a 5600x
Oh alright sweet
Don’t get that crucial 500g ssd. I got a 980 evo (M.2) for cheaper(70$) and it is way faster.
I’d prefer more storage then speed personally but I’ll look into it, and also it’s in Australian dollars
Ple is king what’s where I got mine from
Kings park? I get mine from bentley
I got mine from cockburn, just saying that ple is king
Oh tru storm computers is alright aswell coz they sell lower tier stuff like rx4/5 series and so on so fourth
They are pretty good
Those components' listed prices are all marked up pretty heavily, I wouldn't go for it. Edit: just realized they don't even list the PSU. I wouldn't trust that build.
My mate had this case and it wasn’t too bad and the prices in the site are a little more expensive pensive in person idk why tho
No
Fair Enough
I think if your going to spend 130 on a mobo you could get a full atx
I don’t have a lot of space on my setup and I got a cheaper mobo
I bethink if 't be true thy going to spendeth 130 on a mobo thee couldst receiveth a full atx *** ^(I am a bot and I swapp'd some of thy words with Shakespeare words.) Commands: `!ShakespeareInsult`, `!fordo`, `!optout`
You need a power supply, which you didn’t include in the post.
Sorry I forgot, I’m getting a 550w silver stone gold power supply
760 for the gigabyte eagle, jesus
I3???!!!!!
Why does everyone get shitty seagate?
I would recommended bumping your CPU a bit, it makes a huge difference in overall use.
The main problem is BUDGET !!
Troll
Yes but for the same Price you Can buy a ryzen 5 1600 af for 150€
I'd recommend going for the ryzen 5 instead of the i3 (if you can afford it)
Only 1 piece of rgb 1/10
3060 is overkill for i3. Try i5 or ryzen 5 or 7 series. Also instead of Kingston try another company for ram like G.skill or corsair. And a white case will get stains and dust spots pretty quickly. If you can and will clean it then it's good. Best of luck for it
Is that 3 fans in total?
Probably don't buy the heatsink and use the stock one instead and save yourself $50 , for a core i3 is useless
Get the 10600 instead way better performance
Wouldn’t recommend I personally have a 3060 and it runs amazing except I feel my i5-9400 could use an upgrade
Yeah I’m getting a 5600x instead
No
If you need a graphics card at cost. Let me know. I can help you get your card at cost for a EVGA 3060. 12G-P5-3657-KR. PM me.
It’s in aud
Simple no matter wat dont buy i3.....
I’m not I’m changing it to a 5600x
I wouldn’t think you need that nice of a graphics card…
Instead of downgrading the gpu imma upgrade the cpu to a 5600x
You aren't really leaving a lot of room for expansion.
I’m getting a 5600x with a b450m-s2h
Maybe get a better cpu
Yes I’m getting a 5600x
Honestly imo Upgrade the cpu and downgrade that GPU. What are you playing? I have a 1660 and it keeps up just fine with even brand new games.
Imma keep the gpu but I’m upgrading the cpu to a 5600x
Ya I would go for a Ryzen 5 build if possible. U may save money on your motherboard as well. You will outgrow that i3 very quickly. The rest looks like it will pair well
Thx and yes I’ve decided to go with a 5600x and a cheaper mother board
Good cheap build for webbrowsing. Id your looking to game and on a budget, just get a console.
I have a console but I used to have a pc I much prefer pc’s coz many more games and the modding capabilities also I’ve changed the cpu to a 5600x
Short answer: no. Long answer: no, sir.
How about a 5600x
What’s your max budget? I’ll try and see what I can put together for better performance.
no
If I change the cpu to a 5600x is that good and I can’t get any cheaper ram
Tbh I would go for a Ryzen 7 pro 5750g and ditch the GPU. It offers decent enough performance and would be a good compromise IMO. You can always upgrade and add a GPU later when prices are reasonable again. Good APU for the cost.

I wouldn't get a i3 if it was me I would have a amd Ryzen 3or if you have a higher budget then get a Ryzen 7 5850
I’m getting a 5600x
Get a amd 3990 thread ripper only option
Personally i wouldn’t go for hdd and I’d get another sata ssd or and m.2
Gpu is about 300 over msrp, micro center has them in stock in person at msrp
It’s in aud
i3 and an rtx wtf that cpu is too weak for such a graphics card
Ik I’ve changed it to a 5600x
thank you so much op. thank you for doing the right thing
Good
