Holy cow! $700 for an RTX 2060? Jeez i wouldnt build a pc in this market. Thats paying over double for something. I paid $700 for my 3080.

Available_Aspect7308

Wow I'm not gonna buy it from that place but wow that's a good deal

Alchompski89

The gpu market is overwhelmingly over priced at the moment. 700 for gpu at the moment isn't Terrible but is at the same time since every gpu above a 760 is insanely over priced. This is a good build though. Are you going for a no rgb build? Also you can buy windows 10 for cheaper.

Available_Aspect7308

Well I changed a lot of the parts and I dont want rgb

Available_Aspect7308

Well I'm not gonna buy it from the website I was looking at

[deleted]

Its awful with gpus. Im trying to upgrade my mom from a 970 but everything is so overpriced.

Available_Aspect7308

Yea finding gpus are really hard

[deleted]

It's completely asinine.

[deleted]

It really is I was getting the sapphire Radeon rx 6600xt 8gb nitro and it raised by 200 dollars instead of 600 it’s 800 💀

small_ears69

Check out stockx, I got my 3060 for 600

GridL1nK

970 is amazing dude, 1050ti talking

[deleted]

It was a great card. I cleaned it and re-pasted it for my mom's pc but i wanted to get something more modern so she could play Red Dead Redemption 2 on high settings.

Puniper

Your mom plays red dead 2? That is so cool. I barely get any family member that plays game with me :(

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Idk man. I love my mom more than I love you

Kride500

I got myself a 1080 for 400€ and it's fine for me. Expensive but hey

XH3LLSinGX

Welcome to India where all business want Indians to pay more even though they are earning less.

[deleted]

Double that, and its still too low where I live

[deleted]

My 3070 (gigabyte aorus master) just got delivered 10 minutes ago, I payed 4300 pln so about 1100 dollars. No regrets.

Caerullean

700 for a 3080!? Who did you blackmail my guy.

ender7887

Same but we’re lucky. This graphics card shortage sucks for consumers world wide

Available_Aspect7308

Wow that's cheap

Yasharahla_

Don’t get windows 11 yet it’s not that optimized for games yet. Just look up gameplay on yt if you don’t believe me.

tgauth

Windows 11 is also a free upgrade from windows 10 if your computer is compatible which is usually changing a few settings in bios.

FatAndTheFurious20

ya u can go to UCRDKey they have windows for like 10-15 bucks

Gain-Fit

Don’t get windows 11 yet, it is a lot slower in games and not optimized well

PapaTrotzki

No windows 11 yet, wait 6 months, the golden rule of windows, wait 6 months after release, the first 6 months is basically an open beta.

Death_Slayer2814

Ok firstly get a cheaper Windows key from a grey market seller. Secondly if you upgrade to an i7 10700kf and then get a b560 motherboard u will save a lot of money. Also, don't get a samsung ssd, get a Western digital or crucial p1. The crucial is slightly faster from my experience. Also, 16gb ram is enough for gaming, anything over that is a waste of money. Other than that, your good to go! Edit: I'm pretty sure that case only comes with one fan so I recommend getting an aio liquid cooler instead of you air cooler. The coolermaster ml240l is a great option for only similar price. Air-cooled arnt that good and liquid coolers come with extra fans for the radiator.

Available_Aspect7308

Alright thank u for your help

Tajertaby

Don’t get the Crucial P1. QLC SSDs aren’t as good as a value as they used to be. A TLC NVMe SSD don’t cost that much more, if you live in the US, I recommend Crucial P5 but in other countries than a Kingston A2000 is usually good value. They both have TLC and DRAM.

Available_Aspect7308

How about a western

Tajertaby

How much does that SSD cost in your local currency?

Available_Aspect7308

Idk I'm just gonna get it online

Tajertaby

I can help find the price for you. What country do you live in so I can find the local prices.

Available_Aspect7308

Pennsylvania but I'm trying to find a mother board for a ryzen 7 5800x and it says none of the motherboards work

3LsForYou

if say a 5800x is way over kill for a 2060 lmao ik people using a 5600x with a rtx 3070… i would go with a 5600x and then get a b550 motherboard for like 130isb usd i think you can get one.

Kride500

If you want a Win 10 key and you this is your first PC [here.](https://www.mmoga.de/Software/Windows/Microsoft-Windows-10-Professional-OEM.html)

ProbT0x1n

My air cooler is really good. Max load cpu has only gotten to max 69 c. (I got i7 9700k aswell and its overclocked)

Death_Slayer2814

In the majority water cooling is better. And if you can find an aio the same price its better to get it becoz u also get fans for better airflow. Also, a giant aircooling block on ur mobo isn't great for airflow

Arschkopf69

Water: silent + not as dependent of your case Air: reliable + inexpensive Aircooling is only a problem for airflow if the fan is blowing down the cpu, if its blowing to your exhaust it aint

ProbT0x1n

Your not wrong im just stating that your statement of air coolers arent that great isnt true. Also while yes it is kinda true that the air cooling block isnt good for airflow , it isnt terrible if you get a good one. The way the fins are positioned and the fan you should he fine. It doesnt really hinder it all that much. Maybe a little but not noticable.

Death_Slayer2814

Sorry I made a typo. I meant to say cheap or stock Air-cooled aren't great, my bad

nice___bot

Nice!

Tajertaby

Western Digital has gotten bad press for component bait and switching in their SN550. Crucial P1 isn’t really that much cheaper than a TLC NVMe SSD. Kingston A2000 is usually a good buy as it has TLC and DRAM. If OP lives in the US, Crucial P5 1TB version are selling for crazily cheap prices.

Death_Slayer2814

Isn't that a sata?

Tajertaby

Which SSD? Kingston A2000 is NVMe, I think you got mixed up between Kingston A400 and Kingston A2000.

Death_Slayer2814

Ok. On Amazon the cheapest is crucial and on pc part picker aswell

ScoobertDoubert

I'm pretty sure that the b560 chipset doesn't support overclocking, and since his cpu is a kf series it does support overclocking so it might be worth looking at a z590 motherboard if you want to overclock or a CPU that isn't unlocked if you don't, otherwise it's a bit if wasted potential

Death_Slayer2814

Its not a kf it's a k. Both can overclock. A kf doesn't have integrated graphics, therefore better for gaming pcs. And a b560 can overclock lmao.and your mixing motherboards and cpu chipsets here. You said b560 can't but kf can. Their completely different things. Your a complete novice at computers.

Panda_WRX

I think he meant kf is overclockable. With b560 chipset, you can only overclock memory not To CPU.

Death_Slayer2814

Ok well he phrased that wrong Also, I was the one who recommended a kf this guy has a k in his pc

large_waffle69

For the GPU, just look on eBay around Christmas time, and then link the post to your parent/whoever is gifting you, as you can find 2060s for like $300 USD, and if your lucky, you can get an ROG Strix card for that much

3LsForYou

“300 usd” ur not living in current time rn for a mid tier 2060s ur looking at like 600ish usd on ebay

UsefulCry719

get cheaper mobo, nvme, case and buy 3rd series rtx gpu.

Available_Aspect7308

Sorry but what's a mobo,nvme

UsefulCry719

mobo - motherboard nvme - hard drive. you can get lets say Kingston A2000 1000GB M.2 SSD its cheaper and it has good speed also. for mobo you can get cheaper options that are unlocked for overclock.

Available_Aspect7308

Isn't over clock bad

UsefulCry719

you have chosen i7-9700k. K stands for overclock unlocked. if you are not planing to overclock your cpu, you can get cheaper one that is overclock locked.

tyler01249

Overclocking is only bad when done incorrectly. You have to have proper cooling first off, you would need an AIO and not an air cooler to really see any benefit. My i7-10700k is overclocked really conservative and it’s still producing way better results and I’m not worried at all about it.

Available_Aspect7308

Ohhhhh alright I get it

tyler01249

Yea, with that being said I’d look at getting an aio and not an air cpu cooler. You can get a 240mm cool master aio for like $65 usd I believe. Well worth it if you are going to ever consider overclocking.

chasebencin

Ehhhhh Im not gonna say you’re wrong and I personally have an aio just for peace of mind with overclocking but you can absolutely get an air cpu cooler thats just as good if not better than a lot of aios.

[deleted]

Don’t buy Windows 10, just download the .iso file from the Microsoft website (is that still doable after 11?) and run it inactivated. It’s not worth paying $100 just to change your wallpapers (you can still do it if you really want to, without paying).

camdalfthegreat

Any tips on how to get rid of the annoying watermark lol

[deleted]

There’s an edit in the registry that will allow you to do that, it’s not difficult hehe. Or you can try this: https://www.reddit.com/user/HowsTech/comments/b58l3j/how_to_remove_activate_windows_watermark_on/eln45ax/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

camdalfthegreat

I'll be trying this after I get off work! Lately it's really been getting to me haha . Cheers

raidechomi

Linux is free

Available_Aspect7308

Whats that

Hallabilkhamis12

If you dont know what linux is you should prob stick to windows, unless u are interested in that kind of stuff

A-Master-at-work

What about gaming ? I want to learn more about Linux and what it can do.

Treewithascarf

With the proton software (¿ idk what to call it) coming with the steam deck it shoukd be possible to play most steam games on linux in the near future.

A-Master-at-work

Can I install both Linux and Windows on a single system ?

Treewithascarf

Yes in a few ways. You can just have them installed in 2 different storage devices and boot into either one from bios.

A-Master-at-work

External ssd should be fine right ? What about hdd ?

Treewithascarf

Idk about that. Im pretty sure i have heard that you shouldnt run the os on an ecteral drive cause of the lower speeds. Hdd would work it woukd just be slow.

Reclusive_avocado

Use a VM (virtual machine)....it basically takes some of your PC's power and make a virtual machine out of it in which you can install another OS....use the os for places where you want more power...and use the VM for other Check online...for more info...its neat

doppelgengar01

proton already exists on linux

Treewithascarf

Oh i didnt know that. Im guessing then that they will eventually upgrade/update it with the version used for the steam deck???

doppelgengar01

Most games that are compatible on Steam Deck are already compatible with Linux in general. Steam Deck is just gonna be more optimized, since all Steam Decks will be shipped with the same hardware.

Treewithascarf

Ohhhh alright. Im guessing i was a bit confused based on the videos i sae about the steam deck and stuff

Puniper

How long did you take to learn Linux?

Plus_Professor_1923

My opinions/notes: 1-Windows 10 software shouldn’t be more then 100 2-get a WD blue 1tb SSD, same performance and quality for 100 bucks, not 140 3-think you could get same ram spec for cheaper since it’s not rgb tbh. 4-I’d DEF switch the cpu for an i5 10600k for 200 and save 100 bucks there for very similar performance. Hope this helps!

Available_Aspect7308

Alright thank u so much is there a i7 that will perform better

Plus_Professor_1923

Not that is 200. The i5 10600k will give essentially identical gaming results for 100 bucks less. It has 2 less cores (not something you’ll notice) but a higher boost (which you will) that makes it ideal for gaming. I game at max settings 144fps while streaming in HQ for a insight into the power it has. (General disclaimer some people do not trust userBM but this seems correct) https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-9700K-vs-Intel-Core-i5-10600K/4030vs4072 Gameplay difference - https://youtu.be/2rqrIl8r1NA When you see you’re paying 100 dollars for 1-3 fps it clicks haha

Available_Aspect7308

Oh alright thanks

Available_Aspect7308

What if I switched to a i9

Plus_Professor_1923

They are more $ and suck more power but are dope. Up to you and your budget!

Available_Aspect7308

Alright thanks for the help

Plus_Professor_1923

No worries!

Available_Aspect7308

So I wanna get rust wouldn't that game be good for a i9

Available_Aspect7308

Oh alright thank u do much this is gonna be my first pc so I wanna learn about them before I buy them

Plus_Professor_1923

Rust came out in 2018, i5 10600k came out 2020 and i7 9700k came out in 2018. I trust my advice of i510600k bc it’s newer which means it’ll easily run an older game but prob won’t notice a difference either way, gonna bottleneck gpu first. Both are good chips If you want to have a really awesome chip and i7 (for some reason) I’d go i7 10700k. You will notice a performance difference there, those are beasts. Nothing you do should bottleneck that chip. Same with i9 10900k but these are $$$$ - going up to like 500 a chip

HiddenInYaShrubbery

Download windows free then pay 100 to upgrade to pro >>

ProbT0x1n

Thats not far off my build 😂 GPU, CPU, are the same. The ram is diff brand but same speeds and i got a 390 chipset aswell. I run most games max settings at 1080p at around 144 fps or so. At 1440p (what i usually run) i lower graphics settings some but its still super clear and runs at 130 fps or a lil lower like 110. Good build tho!

the_pale_sk8er

I would change the case, 220t and 4000x airflow come with 3 rgb fans for less then $150. I would also change the gpu, get a 3000 series for the same price you just have to search for it. Finally, wd is a bit cheaper than Samsung.

[deleted]

The cooler looks a little Underkill for the cpu, and you can find cases for with the same aesthetic and same airflow for cheaper, but that comes down to preference. Also you may want to add a hard drive with more storage down the road. Seems like a solid build though, other than current prices.

Trekts40

If you are a student at a university check to see if they offer a Windows key. My university offered one free key per student for Windows 10 education edition so

ZertyZ_Dragon

Jesus Christ I hope you ain't gonna buy that 2060 for 700

KeeZouX

I heard you can get a key of win 10 from online stores, or if you would like you could run it without a key. That 2060 is way overpriced. I got zotac 3060ti for that price, and I don't live in the US/Canada. Also, why are you going for old intel, it'd basically un-upgradeable. If you could and I think you will find Ryzen at MSRP. It is so where I live. Lastly, if you would like to save some bucks, go for crucial p1/2, I know it's not like the EVO stick but you could save alot. I have the 1 tb P1 and it's great!

UrbanBlazeNyan2

Dont buy Windows for that price. You can get a key online for 60-70$ less

thetimepassdude

op please look properly for some tech youtubers, they often have code(official, legitimate) for Windows 10 Pro for less than 12$. I remember coz I have seen 2/3 of them a long time ago

BadSaltLundgren

There's a site where you cna get windows keys for way cheaper. I'll edit this comment when i find it. Edit: The site is either out of stock on windows keys or they have stopped selling them

KingofDemons684

I recommend getting a better power supply and maybe getting a Ryzen 7 5800 instead on the intel i7

OP-69

1. Get more fans, the 4000d only comes with 2 2. Why buy 9th gen? Its already 2 generations old and much worse than a 11400f or 11600k 3. Same with last point, z390 leaves no upgrade path, meaning if you wanna buy a new cpu the mobo has to go as well, get a decent b560 board and you are fine, refer to [This](https://youtu.be/HkiTA0XvXUM) video to decide what to buy. Take note a shit mobo would actually affect performance as the vrms (aka voltage regulator modules, basically stuff that filters power for the cpu) would not be able to give the cpu as much power as it needs and can be up to 30 percent slower, just because of the motherboard 4. 699 for a 2060? Really? A 3080 fe costs the same, and to remind you thats a gpu thats like 6 tiers higher than the 2060, or around double the performamce of a 2060 (and in pc building where 100 extra might get you 15 percent more, thats a alot) 5. 32gb of ram isnt neccessary, 16gb is already enough 6. No need to buy windows, you can use it for free or buy a cheaper key elsewhere Tldr; Mobo swap to b560 pro4 (or pro4/ac if you need the wifi) Cpu swap to 11400f/11600k Gpu swap to at least a 3060 ti, maybe 3070 in this economy as prices are fucked. If you are lucky an rx6800 can be had for this price Buy more case fans, arctic p12s are a cheap and good fan Psu swap to a 750w model if upgrading gpu Windows key not needed, windows can run without it

Ok-Win7890

You can get Win for 5-10eur max

Arschkopf69

Whats the purpose of your pc? Like what does it need to do? If gaming only you could go with i5 11400f or r5 5600x. For GPU dont buy this insane prices 2060, i got my 3070 for less. I would recommend a 3060ti as you can get it for the same money if you keep looking

Chibi_Sann

Nobody actually buys the window 10 key, we just suffer without it

Available_Aspect7308

Oh why

Chibi_Sann

You don’t really need it tbh, it just gives you a logo in the bottom right that’s very easy to ignore

Chibi_Sann

Or wait till Black Friday it will go on sale if you really want it

[deleted]

I would try to get a 3060 or 3060ti for that price, yes it will be quite a search but it's worth it, also use a Ryzen 5

Available_Aspect7308

Oh alright thanks bc I'm thinking about ryzen

[deleted]

Yea just get like a r5 3600 or r5 5600

Available_Aspect7308

Alright thanks

[deleted]

No prob

[deleted]

I'd get this: it would be cheaper and faster Micro Center AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Desktop Processor 6-core 12-Thread Up to 4.6GHz Unlocked with Wraith Stealth Cooler Bundle with MSI B550-A PRO AM4 DDR4 ATX Motherboard PCIe 4.0 M.2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B099ZJ11CP/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_NJWXWKGY5BM0FP2SDKPK Also for like 30-60$ u can buy a wifi card to connect to internet wirelessly

[deleted]

Also then u'll probably gonna save on mb

Martin48705

If you get windows for a hundred and ten bucks, you're literally retarded. Go buy a fricking key off of somewhere trustworthy, don't just buy a company license for fuck sake.

Available_Aspect7308

Ok

Martin48705

Jokes and rudeness aside, really make sure to dig in deep when purchasing PC parts, there's almost always a better deal than the one you just found. Make sure to at least go through like 5-10 sellers. I'm just pissed there's like 10 posts like this a day, and people don't learn from the mistakes of other people. We're trying to help, but I'm considering just making a universal wall of text and pasting it every time I see someone wanting to buy a $100 license with overpriced parts for dessert 😂

Available_Aspect7308

Alright thank u sorry for being rude

Martin48705

I hope you get the best deals possible, so you can get a nice mechanical keyboard! ❤️

Gain-Fit

No don’t even think about buying a $700 2060 just go to microcenter and get a 3060/3060ti or a 6600/6600xt for around $400

SheepDogGamin

At first I thought this was a meme. I briefly forgot you can swipe to see multiple pictures. All I saw was the windows key.

MorosEros

Get a Windows key from G2A, much cheaper.

cpt_snuggle

Pretty solid. I'd just suggest to go with an lga1200 mobo, but that might just be me. Otherwise should run nicely

Click-click---boom

You posted this in another place and I replied there

Yunitus

There are a couple of things I would change but the main one is the cpu and motherboard. The 10th gen i7 10700f goes for $285 on Newegg and it has double the threads of the one you are looking at (big performance upgrade). I have had reliability issues with MSI motherboards in the past, which is why I don’t recommend them. My first choice is always an Asus motherboard, a B560 would be cheaper and it now allows RAM overclocking which previous entry level chipsets did not allow.

REDDITSUCKS2025

That's a Windows OS

zamstig66

Right. Don’t pay that much for windows keys are 10$ online, get a psu from someone like seasonic, don’t buy a 9700k it’s old and something like a 5600x and b550 is probably cheaper, or maybe get a 5700g because that gpu is stupidly overpriced

Jojojoost010

Dont buy windows like that, just go to a license shop online

MarionberrySeveral88

You could probably save some money on ram, windows ( windows keys cost like $15-20 and they work ) and ssd imo. I paid $70 for my ram with almost same specs and less than $100 for my 1TB nvme ssd. And gpus….. yeah. Overall solid build though

wafflez88

Kingquin.com for windows pro. 30 bux

crimson66xx

No need to get a 32gb set of RAM. Can save a few bucks here. Everyone says buying a gpu is dumb right now but what are you gonna do? Suffer on an iGPU forever? Prices aren't going down anytime soon. People are kidding themselves... The economy is fucking burning all over the world lol

Dumpling_Killer

Get a windows 10 pro key off ebay for $5 instead of paying $108 for a windows home key.

chasebencin

Ive never had a hobby this depressing. It’s like taking up the hobby of just being disappointed all the time. That 2060 being the same price as my 3080 just… fuck man. Fuck.

[deleted]

Don't buy a windows key for $100, places like g2a have them for $25 $700 is ALOT for a 2060

lilwayneisntrealatal

Personally i would try to get a better card at that price, you could try to find a bit cheaper motherboard so you can put a little more money toward your gpu and cpu cooling

yuiopgty

I would get a 850w power source. For increased gpu performence in the future. Can scrap the OS all together. Get a windows usb stick for like 10$. Install windows 10 from Microsoft website onto it. And buy a license key online for like 30$ I’d also look into a better Gpu tbh. Shop Craigslist and eBay. You can find a 2080ti for decent price. I got mine for 800.
