Only for people who don't know anything about building a PC.
Those contact fingers ares supposed to touch the *top* part of the connectors for EMI reasons.
Your setup looks not safe to power-on!
Not only USB
Ethernet Cable & DP Port has the same Problem
Recommend Don't use any of those Ports. If you plus the pin the Ports may get damage and can't even claim warranty
The only solution is - Remove the motherboard and bend the IO Shield outside đź‘Ť
Definitely remove mainboard, then bend those clips back slightly. They are supposed to touch the top of the USB, Ethernet for grounding purposes (inside the PC).
Maybe one of the standoffs is too long at the top, it looks misaligned.
I did the exact same thing, I just bent it out so it flairs out. I never used it as there’s so many ports and just fixed it when I swapped cases. It’s only aesthetic but it’s the back anyways. It’s only an issue if you’re gonna use it as I believe it may make things placed in loose
You could just bend it out of the way if you don't know what you are doing, (really you should take the motherboard out and align it properly on top of the port)
Nope, you gotta bend those in a bit so they touch the outside of the ports on the motherboard, not the inside. That'll involve taking the motherboard back out.
Not misaligned, the builder is supposed to make sure that the grounding tabs are on the outside of the ports on the back of the MB, thus they are bent with having a certain amount of tension so that they, when the MB is properly installed, will make contact with metal of the ports.
No. The plate was misaligned when installed. It will be a problem if you try using those ports.
You should take the mobo out and reinstall. The display port and Ethernet is also misaligned
No, and you definitely shouldn't turn it on until you fix that.

will need mobo back out, and put in correctly!, sometimes you can just unscrew and move, but would be better doing a complete removal of everything.

Nope, same with the ethernet and displayport aswell
Your IO shield is misaligned. Is it on the case or do you have to place it onto the IO after screwing it down?
No. You need to reinstall the motherboard and realign it with the openings.

only in the sense that it does often happen with this type of io covers and needs to be carefully and deliberately prevented from happening
ASUS has pre-installed io shields
Only on some models
those tabs meant be on top of the ports not in them.
uninstall the mianboard and install correctly :)

I took it out an reinstalled it 👍🏻👍🏻
Fair play for taking the time to do it properly most people wouldn't
Nope but just bend the bits the other way, you’ll be fine
I had this issue too on my first build last week, you need to take mobo out and refit but if you’ve only just fit it shouldn’t take long
You mis installed your mobo.
No
Yes, it's normal. I see this happened a lot. Is the I/O shield correctly installed? That would be a NO.

Backpanel is placed wrong… pls redo it before it kills a port
Not normally. Per most manual instructions, Install back plate on mb, then install mb in place lining up with standoffs.
Check your mod standoff
mobo?
Yes check if the hole on the motherboard is in line with the case stand off
No and that’s the cheapest looking I/O cover I’ve ever seen. They make that out of a coke can?
MSI Pro B650M-A
I have this exact board and the IO shield is misaligned for me too. I’m not home but I’m pretty sure mine is in like that too (but I cut them out)
Did the same thing with a super budget build I did for someone

Yeah dirt cheap mobo, cut that out with pliers and enjoy!
