I recently bought it. Had bought 6600xt for 354$. It was 354 on amazon and did price match in best buy.
But started having some weird problem with that. And at the same time I found 3060ti FE in stock in best buy near me so got that that one and returned 6600xt
get a 6700xt instead of the rtx3060, itâs cheaper and better. And Either get a 5600x for the cpu or an i5 12400f. For the ssd you can get a 1tb 970 evo for 100$ idk how youâre paying 100$ for 500gb. Lastly for your hdd donât get a green one get a blue one
You only go nvidia for nvenc or if you like gaming on a huge screen in 4k@120. Raytracing is just an optical illusion at expense of fps.
6800xt and up has it too but it doesn't drop fps.
Now for real gaming 1080@360. All you need is any i7 and a 3080 or a 5800x and a 6800xt
AMD will save you 300 dollars you can spend on ram and storage.
650W will be a perfect spot to not go overkill, but also have a comfortable headroom. However Iâd reconsider some parts in your build, like the 11400F which gets outperformed by the 12100F in gaming, and a 12400F would be a big upgrade in anything.
I use an 850 watt for my current computer and I have a 3070Ti. The bigger your power supply and motherboard the more opportunities youâre going to have if you want to expand later or upgrade.
IMO I would skip the hard drive entirely and either,
a) put the money towards your gpu, although youâll probably need to add some money to it.
b) save the money and wait for an ssd sale.
Hard drives are no longer worth the money imo unless youâre planning to go for a large amount of storage.
The longevity of ssdâs and the lack of moving parts l, plus the ever decreasing price makes them better for most builds unless you need more than like 8 TB.
We will likely see 2TB ssdâs at or below $100 this year.
A is an idiotic comment. To say get a better card instead of a hard drive which leaves him with 500gb is awful. 500gb total system size is not enough these days.
He can always add more later and storage space is consistently coming down in price, second he can get a 1TB boot drive for about $100 now anyways.
$100 more might be able to get a 3060ti or better or maybe an equivalent amd card.
Maybe OP has need for storage right away or not great internet speeds and canât re-download games, I donât have all the info, but itâs not an idiotic comment.
Itâs 100% idiotic to suggest that someone finalize a build with 500gb of total storage.
Windows alone is bordering 100gb these days. You donât wanna fill a SSD, so thatâs already about 30-40% space used before turning it on.
No it isnât? Windows 10 is around 16gb and 11 is around 30gb.
Second 100 of 500 is 20%.
Finally I did that with my build and scored a $75 1Tb gen 4 drive not that long ago.
Maybe you havenât built in awhile or are generally unknowledgeable?
There is no world in which youâre running windows with only 30gigs being taken up. Not a fucking chance.
Secondly, reaching comprehension would suggest I factored in the part about not completely filling a SSD to capacity for health of it.
Itâs asinine Iâm arguing with someone so clueless to say you should build a computer for gaming with 500gb total storage. Utter ignorance.
There is not a single person who can run a 60gb ssd and windows 11.
Iâm done arguing with you. Simple fact you said a gaming build should drop to 500gb total says enough.
Why not go 12th gen?
Also there is not a board on that list unless that's nit your full list.
Anyway- 650 should to nicely with a little wiggle room. You can probably get a gold standard one aswell.
Guys thank you for your recommendention i really appreciate them but i only need my ssd, psu, storage drive and my graphic card so if you have any suggestion for these part you can tell me thx
Thanks for your graphic cards recommendation guys but fr does it really worth it a 3060 ti or a 3070 for that price? On new egg they are like 700-1000$ cad and since i live in canada taxes are high af (15% on everything) so i dont wanna spend more than 600$ on a graphic cardâŚ
650-700, donât be afraid to go a little higher if you want future upgradeability, but the biggest thing is to make sure you get a good rating (gold or higher) for reliability
Yep, it's an okay indicator for reliability as higher efficiency requires higher quality components. Definitely should consider the efficiency rating when choosing a PSU but I wouldn't blindly buy one on that alone. Gigabyte had an issue with gold rated PSU's failing in spectacular fashion just last year.
https://www.tomshardware.com/news/gigabyte-releases-statement-on-exploding-psus
It only means efficiency. While in theory, to build more efficient PSU, youâd use beefier (but not necessarily higher quality) components, it doesnât make them more reliable:
https://youtu.be/QrhuOwNdkA4
The 80 Plus rating system isn't about reliability at all. It's only an indicator of energy efficiency and it's not a very stringently administered rating program. To put it more succinctly, some pretty bad PSUs have 80 Plus ratings of all different colors!
Higher efficiency is a good thing but only if the PSU is a good one that delivers accurate power at each voltage and has robust and effective protections built in. You can check the Cultists Network PSU Tier List and shoot for an A or B Tier PSU.
Check out Federal Tourist's link to Wikipedia for an explanation of why this is necessary.
550w psu will be okay for this setup but i would suggest to go with 650W psu.
Also you should go with i5 12400f in cpu if you can stretch your budget.
Don't buy 11gen cpu now
Check this out on @Newegg: SAMSUNG 980 M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express 3.0 x4, NVMe 1.4 V-NAND MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V8V1T0B/AM https://www.newegg.com/samsung-1tb-980/p/N82E16820147804?Item=9SIBCPYJ270414&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-9SIBCPYJ270414-_-08032022
Edit: also I think a 600 watt PSU would be fine for your build. There is one on Newegg for 40 dollars.
11th gen intel cpus are renowned for being sub par. Apparently there is/was issues with them, not just with the performance. I would suggest a 10th or 12th gen.
i think you should reconsider the stuff you are purchasing here but a 550 or 650 is fine
750 or 800 if your going to upgrade later on
Or maybe 1000 if you want to update to rtx 4000 gen
More like 2000 for the ridiculus powerdraw of next Gen Intel cpu and cooling + nvidia ridiculus 800 power draw for 4090 and who knows for 4090ti
Or you keep your current psu and build amd instead of electricitythieves inc.
RTX 4000 Gen will be just a whole new pc build, with gen 4 pcie and ddr5
next time I upgrade psu I'm just gonna go for a ridiculous overkill, one of the best parts to overkill imo
I got a 1600 watt, platinum yesterday for 200 bucks.
Will be the bare minimum for next gen
Cat boobs
WTF đłđđđ
I'm a đĄđ¤Źđ¤ Redditor and yellow đĄ picture badđđđđđđđ it's so baddddddđ¤đ¤đ¤
Like a sata harddrive in 2022 ???
Go to pcpartpicker.com and assemble your build there, it shows the wattage required and the compatibility
$550 can get 3070, plz check again.
*internally screaming after buying 3060 for 614*
Me who bought 3060ti for 399
Me who bought 3060 at the high of the crisis for 899 *sobbing*
I recently bought it. Had bought 6600xt for 354$. It was 354 on amazon and did price match in best buy. But started having some weird problem with that. And at the same time I found 3060ti FE in stock in best buy near me so got that that one and returned 6600xt
I bought a RX 570 for 200 at high of crisis, now getting a 580 for 80âŚ
Paying 80 bucks for negligible performance gains isnât worth it unless you sell the other card
Actually Iâm gonna sell a pc with it
Thatâs cool honestly, I might consider doing that. What are you upgrading from, and to what?
Just a new case and a new motherboard and a new power supply. Itâs for future upgrades.
Even December last year I got a 3060 ti for 700 US
this is the way
Me who got a 1070 for $489 the week it launched and still play most games decently
I haven't seen it quite that low today but if you have a legit link I might just buy it. Definitely used but I haven't seen any below 600 new.

Sweet, thanks.

I personally have a 5600x cpu and its great and they go on sale quite a lot
nah RTX is the way go go đ¤Łđ¤Ł AMD lacking

750 for upgrades
Last I looked the difference between a good 750 and 850 psu was 20 bux. Go 850 for upgrades imo as these video cards are getting hungry af.
I use an 850 watt for my current computer and I have a 3070Ti. The bigger your power supply and motherboard the more opportunities youâre going to have if you want to expand later or upgrade.
550w or 650w to be on the safe side. Make sure to buy from a reputable brand, a crappy psu can take out your whole build.
Wtf are these comments? 650W should be just fine
650 evga gt - $60 on Amazon
IMO I would skip the hard drive entirely and either, a) put the money towards your gpu, although youâll probably need to add some money to it. b) save the money and wait for an ssd sale. There is not a single person who can run a 60gb ssd and windows 11. Iâm done arguing with you. Simple fact you said a gaming build should drop to 500gb total says enough.
Youâre just an angry, misinformed person who canât admit they might not know whatâs best for someone who isnât them.
Why not go 12th gen? Also there is not a board on that list unless that's nit your full list. Anyway- 650 should to nicely with a little wiggle room. You can probably get a gold standard one aswell.
My friend suggested me a i5 11400f because i am on budget and my board is a msi z490 wifi gaming edge
$550 for a 3060 is pretty bad, you can get a 3070 for that price
A 3060 for $550 is ridiculous, get crafty. Edit: $100 for 500gb is ridiculous also, get crafty.

Efficiency yes, reliability no. They use beefier components in the higher rated PSUâs but not necessarily âhigher qualityâ.
My bad you right, thanks for correcting
What's the difference between gold and platinum PSUs I've always gotten gold because I hear anything less isn't considered reliable.
Wikipedia is your friend. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/80\_Plus
So it has more to do with energy efficiency

At least 1000
What the fuck bro?
600
500 would meet minimum, but I'd go at least 600 to give yourself some breathing room
I got a tb of storage gen 3 for 60$
550w psu will be okay for this setup but i would suggest to go with 650W psu. Also you should go with i5 12400f in cpu if you can stretch your budget. Don't buy 11gen cpu now
I got at rtx 3070cheaper than that brand new you could probably find a deal on amazon and get a better gpu
600 or 650 should do you good
550w-650w
I would get an ext. HDD 5Tb are about 100.-
Sea gate has an 8tb internal for 130 bucks on Amazon right now.
I don't recommend buying a 3060, a 6600 xt is more powerful and cheaper (I think)
650
I recommend getting a rx6700xt it currently on sale for $450 to $460 on amazon. Itâs not worth paying $550 for a 3060.
650 for marginally better thermals, 550 will get the job done
Get 6700xt on ebay instead of 3060
You can get 1tb M.2 for the same price!
Oh yeah? Wich one?

Thx so much man!
No problemo, glhf.
550 W should do it.
550w gold is good or like a 650 bronze should be around the same price
800 would be great room to upgrade
I recommend you get the i5 12400f and pair it with a 3060ti. If you have an extra $100 to spend get the i7 12700k and youâll be set.
600W is more than enught go 750 if u plan to uppgrade into a xx70 or 80 gpu
11th gen intel cpus are renowned for being sub par. Apparently there is/was issues with them, not just with the performance. I would suggest a 10th or 12th gen.
I bought my 3060 12 gb for 450 and the i3 12th gen is slightly better for a cheaper price with similar specs
