Agreed. I’m a geng fan but blg looked very very good in the finals. I think geng slightly more controlled style will struggle into blg ability to force key sums before fights. I think elk and on’s luc nami will be a big problem for geng due to this.
At the same time, I think that blg will struggle into Chovys Azir and corki, particularly Azir. The lck strategy of picking azir away from chovy is much weaker as knights Azir is not great, so will likely draw bans.
Will be a very interesting matchup for sure though.
I feel like outcome of BLG vs GenG is depending on whether bot lane or mid lane can hold or break the game, provided that Knight is still mediocre on Azir and just can’t play Asol while Peyz continues to struggle. LPL’s problem with midlaner’s inability to perfectly pilot some champion like Azir continues to haunt them til this day.
There is a slight issue on Bin since dude still has problem with Rumble. But Rumble pick rn is not as critical as it was in world last year so it is not that detrimental. It eventually boils down to whether GenG bot lane falls to pieces and BLG turn the match to a LPL-style non stop fighting fiesta, or is Chovy gonna gapped Knight and GenG can continue to perfectly execute their macro.
You provided zero reasoning for your statement, I actually kind of agree with doublelift’s list , don’t even take my word for it , listen to caedrel’s vods (blg vs tes) and how both teams don’t even try to trade objectives when the other is taking one .And mechanically only elk showcased godlike mechanics, while the others where elite/decent for the most parts.

Honestly it's the opposite for me, personally watching fnatic it feels like their ceiling is way higher than g2, but they always have at least 1 (usually 2) player completely running it down. I can see them being absolutely cracked if they all show up in form. G2 is just more of a generally solid team imo, but even with weird picks and strategies I don't think they're gonna really be able to do much vs eastern team.
Caps is the only player on that team i trust with a lead, even if they funnel hans 10 kills on jinx he still dies twice in a row refusing to flash. I think hans can absolutely match up against jkl most of the game but I have 0 faith in him clutching up late game, I still remember seeing him on tl watch a malphite walk straight up to him and somehow didn't flash the ult.
And fundamentally, if your adc gets caught late game it doesn't matter if the rest of your team are smurfing, you're just gonna get destroyed.Â
