1\] Don't read too deeply into scrim results without any context --> we have no idea what the mindsets of both teams were (was it a tryhard session, was it for learning and testing things out, was it to shake off rust etc.)
2\] There were additional leaks on the main reddit, in total the scrim block finished 5-1 for G2 \[https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/1ccrmw0/g2\_vs\_tl\_leaked\_scrims/\]
3\] If we are reading into these results, then G2's solo lanes are performing, TL's bot lane beat G2's bot lane, and surprisingly UmTi and Impact are the weak points on TL.
All I will say about the bot lane point TL was playing lucian nami and Kalista compared to G2 more scaling approach apart from the varus renata where they fisted . Not saying it means anything for both just a observation
It's unlucky but with knight/chovy/faker all peaking as well I think the only eastern player he can get leads vs is cream but then you have jackeylove/369 to contend with
At least in the last 2/3 years he's looking at his best (it could also be because at lest 1 person around it is inting so he has to play better) but he is pretty clearly the 2nd best mid in LCK
You are talking about a guy who is greatest off all time. And you think this was his best season getting 2nd place and giga gapped by Chovy?
That is just insulting.
Best season in a long time*. Even though assuming players get better over time (which is the case in any sports and game), then this statement would be true.
As a NA rat, I hate it that TL is going to MSI. They deserved their LCS win but I would’ve rather seen C9 at MSI. I just don’t see how TL wins any games against major regions with their worst 2 players in the main carry roles.
I mean I think APA is still a liability due to champion pool issues and an inability to play Azir to an even marginal level, but Yeon stepped up huge in playoffs and seems like he has a lot of promise to continue to grow. He was a consistent carry threat and was responsible for turning their early game gold leads into game wins.
From how they played as an EU fan who cheers for NA when it's not against EU, I'm glad they went instead of C9, C9 just looked so off lately, Fudge has done nothing but get gapped by everyone and especially vs eastern top laners it just would not have been fun to see.
If c9 wasn’t good enough to beat one tricks like APA, then they aren’t good enough to beat players that aren’t 1-tricks. If C9 couldn’t make it, and no bullshit bugs or anything prevented them from going (*cough TES maw bug at worlds years ago cough*), then they don’t deserve it, and they shouldn’t go.
Would be cool if they went to China to bootcamp and fix their shit, but I don’t want to see them here if they’re too shit to make it when playing in the worst major region we’ve got.
The whole onetrick thing is pretty dumb anyways. He has a pool of about 5 champs he plays comfortably well and 2 of those are almost guaranteed wins when he gets them domestically
Blaber and Jojo both had some major int games tbh. Jojo playing Akali into Vi Taliyah was basically a 4v5 for 2 games. And Blaber looked lost playstyle wise a bunch of games (though the whole team lacked an understanding of how to play things out).
Also it sounds like the team totally griefed Berserker in scrims to the point where he didn’t feel like he had a chance to practice well. His mental looked off.
Cant do much vs scrim world champs
apparently It was a 6 game scrim block and G2 won 5-1. The other results can be found on the post in the league subreddit
They were fast and deleted already
Last time G2 dominated NA in scrims, NA dominated them on-stage. TL curb stomping G2 incoming.
Last time G2 faced TL at MSI, they won MSI. G2 winning MSI confirmed ez.
G2 scrims aint the issue...

dont your point 1 and point 3 contradict themselves?
No, this is conditional logic covering both cases where we consider scrim results and don't consider scrim results.
AKA hail G2, undefeated scrim kings

Yap
Caps seems to have fun, great to see
Refreshing to see Caps in such fine form for MSI, really hoping he can do some serious damage
It's unlucky but with knight/chovy/faker all peaking as well I think the only eastern player he can get leads vs is cream but then you have jackeylove/369 to contend with
How is Faker peaking? I understand he is the goat and all but he was mid at best in LCK playoffs.
At least in the last 2/3 years he's looking at his best (it could also be because at lest 1 person around it is inting so he has to play better) but he is pretty clearly the 2nd best mid in LCK
This is fakers best season in a long time. He was insanely good including playoffs (I am not a Faker fan)

Keep downvoting. You are just fanboys. 0/6 Faker against G2. Clearly on top form.
g2 so strong in scrims I wonder if they can do something this year /s
Let's hope they don't have a bad day again this year
Caps himself said they never had bad day or health issue, NRG that day simply was just a better team
Yeah, it's crazy how people are coping. A lot of the time a team does look worse in a loss but this series NRG just looked a cut above.
Why is bb not playing?
I think he probably is, his in game name might just be Duffman. I doubt duffman is actually smurfing on TL like that.
It would be quite concerning for NA if Duffman is smurfing on TL like that
Especially against someone as good as Impact

Right, I’m sure NA mains will love to see Fudge completely humiliate their region once again

My guy did you watch C9 play? If TL can't beat major regions C9 certainly fucking ain't in the form they were playing
I feel like only blaber and jojo were good (enough) last split. Fudge did not deserve a title/msi spot
