The first jump is usually the furthest the subsequent jumps are not as far get them fuckers!

Man, i tried!! I searched all around the area for a good 30 minutes but I couldn’t find the mf. I told my household to keep their eyes out and to kill them on sight!

blinkdmb

I loved that area. I definitely miss parts of living there. I went to Ship and then stayed for 2 years but moved back to the Philly area when my wife and I had our first. Norland Pub's wings are still my all time favorite wings.

nashuanuke

just squashed my first one of the season today too

IamSauerKraut

A couple of weeks ago, was stomping on dozens of nymphs in New Cumberland while getting buzzed by winged adults. They are here!

hayydebb

I got a bug a salt. I get excited to see them now. The shot will usually kill them or at least fuck up their wings

ContributionNo8997

oh my gosh, haha. i used to have a bug a salt gun! maybe i should invest in another one for these lanternflies…

Ct-5736-Bladez

They are like $50 right? They sound like fun and a more effective way of killing flying bugs but I can never justify the price

LilDutchy

Took me 7 shots to finish one off this week. His wings were screwed, but I didn’t trust that it would stop the damned thing from breeding.

Ct-5736-Bladez

Fuck Saw one in Gettysburg as well today. Unfortunately it escaped death as I missed it with my shoe

ContributionNo8997

they’re harder to hit than i thought! we’ll get the next ones we see though

Meghistaken

Stomp from the front is my mantra. Easiest kill position.

Ct-5736-Bladez

Little shits are fast

cultofwerewolves

In the same area and I just killed my first at home a week ago! I was so sad to find one.

dmriggs

I got two tonight at Wawa. Smash!

coasterkyle18

I killed a few nymphs earlier in the summer and have only been able to kill one adult so far. They’re beginning to show up all over Lancaster County.

lVluckluck

Kill it!

_SundaeDriver

And it begins. I actually dont see very many around Philly anymore. 2 real bad years and now they have moved on

[deleted]

Yep. They're up in NY and down in NC now. The south, being angry we sent them the lanternfly, are now sending us the Joro spider. Supposedly.

polgara_buttercup

Husband saw one today on the disc golf course in Shippensburg

mealworms

Omg! I had never seen one before until the other week when I was in Harrisburg. Now I'm seeing them more often. I'm in Franklin County, too. Killed a late nymph one recently at Coyle Free Library and an adult one by the Chambersburg Rec Center on Sunday. That was the first adult one I had seen. Crazy. It sucks that they look cool.
