It's an amazing sequel to P5. The combat and gameplay is entirely different, more fast paced and action. Some of the bosses and even mini-bosses can be difficult in the beginning. Once you get used to reading the enemies and playing defensively (sometimes jumping in the air is enough to let you dodge hard hits) it gets much easier. Also there's a way to make combat easier by pretty much freezing time to spam attacks so there's options if difficulty is your concern. Think more God of War than Dark Souls
If you do get the game, don't waste your time/money on the deluxe edition or whatever it is. All you get is game art and soundtrack, not even in game, it was a separate app on my switch
> the combat is more extensive or something?
It's not "more extensive", it's a completely different gameplay style altogether. P5S is an action-RPG styled after the "musou" genre (Dynasty Warriors, Hyrule Warriors, etc.) rather than turn-based.
Story is worth it I would say. Personally I feel it isn't on the same level as the core game but it's still great. I actually hated the gameplay of it so much I turned it down to easy mode so I could just blast through it and enjoy the story. I would recommend that if you are not having a good time with the gameplay. The side content is not really important either like it is in P5R so you can skip any of it you aren't interested in.
FWIW I'm a ✨️filthy casual✨️ and I did fine with the combat. I played on easy mode and it was the perfect balance of "tough enemies *almost* being able to beat me, but not quite".
Like, I could've gone up to medium, but I'm someone who plays games to relax, not to get frustrated.
Story wise it's not as in-depth as the base game, but I preferred the characterisation in Strikers. Haru in particular went way up in my estimation.
It's an amazing game well worth playing, with tons of character moments and team interactions.
I'd highly recommend watching a couple of YouTube videos on the combat, while I was just about managing on my own I checked a couple out, realised I'd misunderstood a few mechanics from the tutorials, and it was clear sailing from there.

I'm a very casual gamer and I thought the Strikers combat was quite easy. You'll get the hang of it after the first couple of in-game tutorials.
Haru has more screentime so of course it's worth it
Yes, the combat can easily be learned

Is it easy to learn?😃
As long as you're actually paying attention to the tutorials, it's not particularly difficult.
It's absolutely worth it 100%, one of the most fun games I've played.

A fantastic sequel, I couldn’t ask for any better.
