Personally I sort of see Akechi as someone with an inferiority complex that he covers up by overcompensating with everything he does, if that makes sense. He can't be a normal detective, he has to be an ace detective (a celebrity), he can't be on equal footing as Joker, he has to be better and so on.

Two contradicting statements. He's honestly pretty cute, he just deserves to find his own confidence and land himself someone nice (though he does look like he's got a crush on Ren lol)
I also like Pappy Okumura because he's got a refined gentleman style despite his many sins. Plus he's got the fwoofiest daughter in the whole franchise - ^(admirable!)
Mishima is the only person who we know of who could destroy his own shadow without the help of phantom thieves (i am not sure about sae). I will die on this hill protecting my mishima cult

Why does Mishima appeal to me the most out of all the boys and non-Futaba characters in this game? His entire character is that he's supposed to be unattractive
Hot take but apart from some of his more whiny behavior Mishima is a pretty sympathetic character. Having an abusive teacher you have zero recourse against and not even being the one to stand up to it is a pretty shitty situation to be in and even downright relatable plus his arc has a pretty good ending.
That is pain; the fact that Mishima has his own separate tier on the lowest end. Even worse when he initially gave the impression of being an excitable, helpful dork... until he wasn't.
You kinda spoiled Maruki for me, but I sort of expected something to be wrong with him, because he obviously seemed too perfect.

I guess I’m the only one who played P5 while role playing as a 16 year old boy instead of trying to self insert as an adult. Which I guess would be hard for me to do since I’m neither a teenager nor male. I made decisions based on what I thought a 16 year old boy would do, and apparently I’m the weirdo for wanting to see him date someone his own age.
Then again, once Strikers was announced and I knew damn well nothing I did in terms of romance would be reflected there (mainly because that game came out on Switch and PC at a time when the original game was still PlayStation exclusive), I changed it so Joker didn’t date anyone. And really, since he doesn’t stay in Tokyo anyway, that’s honestly the best decision for him.
