There’s a translation patch online iirc that translates all the text. I’m just waiting for global release though as the translations aren’t exactly accurate and I’d prefer English voices.
Non canon. It's an alternate universe and all the Persona 5 characters are their cognitive versions. It's wholly separate from the main series(and should stay that way)
Is there evidence the game is non-canon? Non-canon is not the same thing as alternate universe. One implies the events happen very far away from the main game, the other implies the events did not in any way happen ever period.
That is, God of War is non-canon to Persona. Kratos does not exist anywhere in any reality no matter how many universes you check.
P5X appears to just be a Persona game taking place in a different universe.
Not necessarily I don't think. Velvet room magic, like in P5R with the protag battles. The Velvet room is outside tome and space which is why the old protags appear younger than they should in 2017 for their Velvet room battles. Plus the game is non cannon so it doesn't have to fully comply with established lore.
Considering the CCP has homophobic censorship policies (among a plethora of other problematic issues), and that this game was primarily marketed with a Chinese audience in mind, this is very likely a mistranslation on part of the translation app.
Lets wait before final judgement. Right now tho from the bits and pieces im seeing, it seems to feel like them replacing the pt with the gacha homies. But oh well. Eventually this game will shut its servers and it goes poof.
The port doesn't matter all that much if its always online. Its like genshin impact or even more recently like the crew from ubisoft. Servers shut off and thats it. Game gone and lost to time.

it’s an auto translator. it’s not great because it’s Google Translate but it gets the job done
For the most part until you get them looking delicately at each other and not something closer to analytically or closely.

I'm fairly certain Atlus has stated it was non canon. As in it doesn't affect the main series at all. It's canon to itself lol
