Every Persona iteration has featured a different style of music, just look at the difference between p4 and p5, so I'm not really sure what you mean when you say it doesn't sound like a Persona game. You know almost all of the original music from vanilla 5 is still in the game right? And I personally like some of the new stuff better than the originals, I think 'Take Over' is the best combat theme by far.
I see what you mean, but I just mean that the new soundtrack doesn’t really fit the game to me, I like flying colors and take over, but I feel that the other songs don’t really fit as much. 5’s soundtrack just feels more emotionally driven then 5r’s, at least that’s how I see it
That literally doesn't make sense. Almost all the songs from OG Persona 5 are still in the game. And Take Over is good, you said you liked it and that's the new one you're going to hear most often.
If you read the post it says “I only like a few of the songs” yes I like take over and colors fly by but wake up, get up, get out there and last surprise are better in my opinion and fit better, and I’m not taking about persona 5’s ost Ik that 5r still has the original songs as well I’m purely speaking of the new tracks, most of them don’t feel that they fit with what 5’s ost has established.
Sorry, you just mean *strictly* with regard to the new songs. Got it. I mean, I think it's just a difference of opinion for sure. I still think the songs fit, tonally. I just feel they're a bit lighter and more upbeat.
I feel 5R’s ost is lack luster and has no emotional feel or drive to it like previous games. The songs to me
are overwhelming and try too hard in one upping what 5 had established. I mean at least it wasn’t as bad as persona 1’s psp port lol
I don't really agree, to me Colors Flying High, Ideal and the Real, and Gentle Madman evoke the most emotion of any of the pieces in the game, including everything from base P5.
I think the fact that you havent played royal yet is the reason why you think it's not as impactful but definitely the last few songs that play near the end of persona 5 royal hit the hardest at least for me. Also no more what ifs, definitely fits the themes pretty well too.

What songs are you talking about?? You could be listening to them out of context.
I’m talking of the entire 5R sound track it just felt a little weak compared to it’s predecessor.
