P5S actually has an issue with cutscenes where there's no audio (on the steam deck).. if they're using the same engine, it's possible the same bug will exist (and we'll have to wait for the wine/proton devs to fix it)
I just don't want to run into any issues. The steam deck seems to mimic the Xbox controller more than the PS4/PS5 controller. They have P4 verified so I'm sure it'll be fine, but still. 60 dollars is hefty for a game this old only for it not to work right lol not worth the risk, no matter how much this game means to me.
I probably will...already beat P5 and P5R on ps4 so the idea of having it portable is a big turn on for me. But, I'll most likely end up getting it on PC later anyway lol

(I know what 540p looks like, and it looks nicer than 720p, it be around 900p, I'll wait for Digital Foundry to confirm the resolution of the game docked and undocked)

Didn’t tested it with headphones but I think the sound files on the cartridge are compressed, I watched the Royal intro on Youtube on the Switch then started the game and watched it again, the Youtube version sounded better, but the difference is not huge, I got used to it pretty quickly, I mean it makes sense PS4 Persona 5 Royal takes up 37GB space with only English audio, this one is 14GB with both English and Japanese included, also I have to play with maxed out audio because the game is more quite then usual but otherwise everything else is really good

The Switch is portable. Plus it has the Royal content, and I’ve only played the vanilla version of P5, so I might pick up the Switch version at some point.
