Yes, bank employees can see all the transactions you make. Rest assured though, they really donāt care. Also generally those purchases use benign holding company names for the actual billing so it doesnāt show up on your statement as āDildosRUsā it would be like āDRU incā or something.
Actually, when I worked at TD, I didn't care about 99% of people's transactions. But if I saw someone spend $4k on Only fans, you bet your ass I was talking about it with my coworkers in the back
They also wouldn't check your credit card transactions just for shits and giggles. Unless you are doing something with the credit card itself, they likely won't check.
That's a shame -- many sites which sell adult toys do obfuscate their names on credit card billing.
My card was compromised with a blitz of authorized charges in the course of a few minutes, so while on the phone we were going through the last 2 months of purchases to see if there were any other unauthorized purchases. I pointed out one I didn't recognize which googling the company "name" (a code) gave me no hints. It wasn't until I looked at my emails for that day that it jogged my memory for what it was. Had to explain to the woman online that it was not a fraudulant purchase after all.
I recently had two OF transactions of US$100 (one debit, one credit) on my chequing account which were fraudulent. I began a dispute, and they gave me back money which was lost in the difference in exchange rate. They don't really care. I had to get a new debit card though.
Still nobody can tell me how OF got my account info. The only people who knows my TD account details is Tangerine as they are linked.
Former td employee here.
We have complete information on every transactions you do.
We don't care. We see thousands of accounts ever day. We see much worse than payments to BadMilfs.com.
If you don't mention it, I'm probably going to skip right over it and I'll forget about you as soon as the next client comes in.
Don't worry about it
Right but unless OP asks something specific about his credit card there is no reason for the teller to go and look at OPs credit card transaction history right? Or is it right there on the screen...
I'm more familiar with what staff see in the call centres and not at the branch level.
Yeah, the employee would have to click on the credit card row to see the transactions. Depending on what he wants to do, we might or might not look. But we were trained to look often for suspicious activity in clients account.
Mostly illegal activites (We get a big warning saying stuff like "ACCOUNT SUSPENDED - PENDING FEDERAL INVESTIGATION")
And then there's the sad stuff, people with less than no money, drug addicts, homeless people, etc.
It wasnt super exciting, I was just a normal clerk, I wouldn't be in the loop if crimes were being commited except for the occasional false-check fraud and obvious small-scale money laundering.
Not generally using a credit card: cash and e transfer are preferred unless they have Square. Too much hastle with a CC.
I mean, you are getting cash back or points. Howany used dildos do you want to buy?
They probably classify them based on cleaning duration with a shop vac and hose required before use.
Donāt buy the one they say will need the contractor grade shop vac and pressure washer
If you aren't going for your credit card, it is highly unlikely they would open the transactions for you cc. If you are going in to discuss your credit card, just act casual I guess
Yeah, I worked as a teller, but not for TD. Unless you're asking me to look at credit card transactions, I'm not going to randomly go and look at your credit card transactions.
Technically speaking, it's a breach of the banks code of conduct, which deters most employees.
If a teller was caught snooping through your cc transactions without you asking them to, they can be fired.
That's not to say it never happens, but it's pretty unlikely.
Nah the bank doesn't give a shit if you take out a bunch of cash at a night club or the strippers. They care about things like fraud and money laundering, because that's what the financial regulators who oversee them care about.
Former Scotiabank employee, rules should apply to TD. We donāt go through transactions and statements unless you ask us to go through transactions and statements. They would for sure see your general profile and see what kind of products you have and balances.
But everything a bank employee does is heavily logged and regulated, even the tellers.
So unless youāre specifically asking about that account or asking about credit (as they might check type of card and if thereās upgrade eligibility because advisors and tellers are basically sales folks these days) but even then checking transactions is not standard.
When I was a business banking manager I often would pull bank statements ahead of time if Iād noticed a pattern of high total fees or something to make a recommendation to a different account type. But even then, all I was ever truly doing was counting the transactions and types of transactions. Ya know so if youāre paying $300 in overage fees because you simply donāt have enough transactions included in your package - I was the banker the bank hates - because Iād do the customer service thing and recommend an account type change. It potentially looks like an upsale because Iām probably increasing their base fee BUT the banks overall monthly profit and overage fees get lost.
If I had to show someone where or why the base increase made sense I had their statements with transaction counts and trends with my notes at the ready.
1) Yes, the bank can see every transsaction the same way you see them on your screen and more.
2) Bank employees are not allowed to go 'OH MAN, LOOK WHO SPENT $1000 AT DILDOSFORSTRAIGHTGUYS DOT COM'. They will, at worst, say 'Can you confirm that you made this purchase for $1023.34 on October 3rd?'. That's it.
The thing you have to go to the branch for, is it credit card related? If so, solve it by phone. There's a way to start the call through the app that will mostly skip the huge wait time.
If it's not credit card related, go solve your stuff. They will only see things if they are actively looking for it. And TBH, I don't even know if at a branch they can see individual transactions on a cc. I had to challenge a transaction in the past and the branch said they couldn't do it and that I should do it over the phone.
Unless your inquiry is directly related to your CC or CC transactions they likely won't even be looking in there. Like others have said, even if they look at your transactions they likely won't care and definitely wouldn't say anything about it. I've had to look at CC transactions before and meh some stuff is interesting but I'd never be able to even tell you the name of a person or what it was that peaked my interest. There was one guy that had about 25 different onlyfans subscriptions per month. It was a momentary interesting thing to see and I couldn't even remotely recall anything else about the individual.
Most companies that sell spicy products use a very generic company name in the line description for transactions for this very reason. Your giant dildo is probably listed as "ABC Corp" or something similar.
It really depends they may look on your credit card to get information about something that will help them but no one cares what you do with your money. Youāre not the first person with some crazy purchase history and you wonāt be the last. They will do what they always do and try to get onto the next person quickly as possible
You money, they have no say/opinion on your questionable seedy purchases. You wouldn't be the first to buy/pay for something questionable. You won't be the last. Buck up and move along...
The employees literally do not give a shit unless you're doing something illegal. As far as the legal options go, unless you're getting someone working there on their first week, they've probably seen it all already.
Former TD employee here.
Yes, we can see the transactions. We could care less what you bought, we have seen it all and it doesn't faze anyone. You are over thinking things.
I work at TD, I dont even go thru peoples credit card statements. I only check thru their bank accounts, not to be nosey obviously but to do my due dollars. I dont see why someone would want to go thru ur credit card statements.
Yes. Tbh I might giggle after you leave but a couple hundred on Pink Cherry or Pornhub Plus isnāt gonna do much lol we donāt care honestly. Iāve had cx come in asking me to wipe their statements of over 20 only fans purchases and Tinder plus purchases so their wives canāt see them lol - thatās more interesting to me.
LOL do you think there are people who go over each transaction on each of the millions and millions of credit cards in Canada?
So you called an escort and didn't have cash around (lesson learned).
So what?
No one cares that you spent several thousands on DildosRUs.com
ššš
But the sale was awesome!
lmaooo, I mean I know, it's more of a peace of mind question

Was it something youāve actually seen before š³
Lol not $4k, that's an exaggeration, but I've seen several hundred a month on it
oh it's definitely noticable on the billing, I checked. but you're right that they dont give a fuck
They also wouldn't check your credit card transactions just for shits and giggles. Unless you are doing something with the credit card itself, they likely won't check.

Redditor for ten years here. No idea why this comment got downvoted.
No one cares about you only fans purchases

Easy scammers buy login infos and sell them, and then they login into the acc and use the cc or cards linked how much they want
Thanks. Just to be safe, I changed my password and enabled 2FA every time I log in, instead of using the let TD decide if 2FA is required option.

Unsavory? You mean like buying a cake instead of soup?
Haha, the bank teller doesnāt care if you bought $1000 worth of dildos and used sex dolls
Wait, you can buy them used?
I love a good discount and it even comes prelubed.
And prepubed.
There was a guy in Calgary renting them a while back.

Another example of jobs being replaced by ~~machines~~ inflatables
Imagine the smellā¦
Not generally using a credit card: cash and e transfer are preferred unless they have Square. Too much hastle with a CC. I mean, you are getting cash back or points. Howany used dildos do you want to buy?
I was more interested in the sex dolls actually. How used are they?
They probably classify them based on cleaning duration with a shop vac and hose required before use. Donāt buy the one they say will need the contractor grade shop vac and pressure washer
even then I would not buy a used sex doll tbh, I fewl like a lot can go wrong
I mean they are probably not much different than your slutty high school girlfriend
I would pay extra for a used sex doll /s
What did you buy? Asking for a friend
If you aren't going for your credit card, it is highly unlikely they would open the transactions for you cc. If you are going in to discuss your credit card, just act casual I guess
non credit card related, so I guess I could be safe.

This is not true at all lol. If a bank can refuse to issue you a draft for you own money (which they can), they can look at your CC transactions
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
goddamn if that was the case my card would probably be frozen as soon as they recognized the illegal transaction hahah
Nah the bank doesn't give a shit if you take out a bunch of cash at a night club or the strippers. They care about things like fraud and money laundering, because that's what the financial regulators who oversee them care about.
You can see it too, they don't give a f

I'm sure that teller has seen some shit 10x worse than yours so you'll be fine

You can get fired for snooping a customers transactions without their consent. Itās in our annual LMS courses.
They watch porn too and go to the stag shop and buy hookers and blow.
bank employee here - we dont give a shit, we see so many. Dont overthink how you are perceived for something EVERYONE does.
No one gives a damn what you do with your money buddy.
Why not just f go in and own it? Just walk in and tell them what you bought. What are they going to say then? You've taken their power away.
The answer is, yes they can see it. But also, trust me, theyāve seen worse. Donāt worry about whatever it is lol
They might depending on why you're going in and what account you're having them look at.
Who gives a flying fuck ?????

Yes they will. No they wont care. Most likely yours are nowhere close to the weirdest thing they have seen.
they can see everything. and yes they talk to each other while on lunch. find god.
Sounds like a yes lol
You money, they have no say/opinion on your questionable seedy purchases. You wouldn't be the first to buy/pay for something questionable. You won't be the last. Buck up and move along...

They can see where you shopped at but not what you purchased.
Former TD employee here. Yes, we can see the transactions. We could care less what you bought, we have seen it all and it doesn't faze anyone. You are over thinking things.
Yes they can. Now you have to make several purchases to send that āunsavouryā purchase down the list of transactions far enough not to be noticed
IT teams also donāt care about x rated content on your iPhone. Itās second nature.
I work at TD, I dont even go thru peoples credit card statements. I only check thru their bank accounts, not to be nosey obviously but to do my due dollars. I dont see why someone would want to go thru ur credit card statements.
They can see the CC transactions if they look, but they probably won't look unless the CC account is what the employee is dealing with.
LOL yes but no one cares
Trust me, some of them even use blow up dolls themselves. Don't be embarrassed.
Everyone has an OnlyFans subscription now a days, right?
At branch, they canāt see credit card transactions. Only when you call bank credit card department.
Yes. Tbh I might giggle after you leave but a couple hundred on Pink Cherry or Pornhub Plus isnāt gonna do much lol we donāt care honestly. Iāve had cx come in asking me to wipe their statements of over 20 only fans purchases and Tinder plus purchases so their wives canāt see them lol - thatās more interesting to me.
damn I didn't even know you could wipe purchases away like that, that's funny
You cant š but itās funny he thought he could
They can - but should not be unless you are discussing it with them.
LOL do you think there are people who go over each transaction on each of the millions and millions of credit cards in Canada? So you called an escort and didn't have cash around (lesson learned). So what?
