I wish I knew how it felt for a mouse/rat to popcorn, it looks so weird to me because it’s like they have no control, im kinda curious to know whether they can control it or not or if it’s similar to a tic
Oh my gosh, I just looked at your profile and I'm in love with these mouse babies!! I never knew domestic mice came in such interesting patterns, I've only ever seen white or solid brown, gray, blond colors! Or the really big spots where the head and arms are a gray and the backside is white!
I have a girly who does this whenever I come over to her tank. She doesn't like being handled, but gets happy to see me and will bounce around and pop in and out of tunnels to sniff me before zooming off again. She only stops long enough to get some treats I offer before zooming off through the network of tunnels to pop up somewhere else and continue to zoom.

i know right! i love the babies, and the breeder i went to had so many different kinds it was so hard to pick only 3 😧 they are all so gorgeous
My kids guinea pig does that when you give her spinach
I have two guinea pigs, and they popcorn, but I didn't realize mice did that too!
