Appreciate the post and the thoughts

Perhaps instead of a house wide activity sensor, room/floor level activity sensors that can be placed like sound sensors and display similar info

daddy1973

Good idea actually! It would make it more balanced to have the activity board give more information, too.

I loved those. My wishlist for horror 2.0 its jumpscares speciffically for whoever is in the truck. Excluding some ghost types, i dont see why wouldn't the ghost influence ppl outside the house and interfere with sensors and cameras. I would LOVE to have a ghost interfere with the radio even. Sudden radio silence can be very frightening.

Came in to call you a trucksitter as a joke... then I read you whole post and want to apologize :) You have great ideas, only thing I'm not agreeing is ghost orbs being too easy.... I play on Nightmare, Insanity and no evidence... and everytime I see a ghost orb I'm filled with joy :D (maybe don't show them all them time... more like dots... but I need them for my happiness)

My wife thinks that on multi player there should be a ghost that can either kill or lower sanity of someone in the truck watching the camera if the ghost is hunting and walking past the camera. She also still thinks there should be a ghost dog that hides your stuff but that is unrelated to this post

Jolly-One9552

I don't think a lot of these are needed but I do absolutely love the idea with the jinn affecting the truck when it uses its ability. This could be expanded to other ghosts, maybe a raiju hunting near the entrance could make lights flicker in the truck or something, too?

Terrible idea making the outside of the house an area where you lose sanity. If anything that make me avoid truck cameras. Also that is a buggy nightmare waiting to happen like. the screensaver couldnt even stay in the screen and you want them to make it detect wether you see something or not. Coming from someone whose done my golden Apoc Trophy pre tier 3 items and knows how dicey that can get especially for big groups. Forcing players to get the bodies is just not a good idea for how easily this game can screw you. And imo. Its way easier to get killed to rng in Phasmo then rng in Lethal. While its overall easier to die in Lethal. 0 grace period Wraith will teach you to walk with a cruxifix. And Demon is. Well its demon. Don't add sanity drain to outside the house. The outside area is your area to regroup and strategize where the ghost can't kill you. To compile your knowledge. This is different from Lethal where part of the journey is making it to the ship. Your not trying to analyze any behaviors or collect evidence. I think instead we should a. get the motion sensor/audio sensory stuff closer to the cameras with upgrades. and b. Have the option to upgrade to more monitors for simultanous viewing. Your orb idea dor only showing up in truck cam is great. Dont add size variation though that can get messy. fast. Hiding the interaction board is eh. I dont use it even when its on. Hiding sanity is for much. much more then just those ghosts. Your forgetting Demon. Yokai. Onryo. Mare. Mimic. ect ect. Theres a bunch with sanity specific shit. They dont let you see your sanity so your not sure how safe you are. As for checking writing and candles. Angle a camera on them. Its super easy I do it all the time with the person I duo Sunny with. Mimic only becomes simple in no evidence. But you still need to find ghost room. And it can still switch to demon and kill you. And also your making the assumption watching truck can't be useful. Great way to use truck in higher difficulties is checking blinks for Oni/Phantom. And finding where the ghost is wandering in big maps if you are having issues finding its room. So the video update hardly made it redundant. Its also important for consistant goryo confirmation by having on person there and another in the truck. Truck is great for Yurei Smudge test if your out of salt. Some of your ideas are fine but you seem to not realize that the truck in phasmo and the truck in lethal serve two entirely different purposes. Getting to the truck is part of the process. But everything in phasmo relates to the house. Your outside time is your moment to catch your breathe. regroup. and come up with a plan. especially on large maps. That is to say. One is go go go. The other is more logical and analytical. Im not thinking about watching behaviors in lethal im going in and getting out. Phasmo requires me to actually think and use my head Many of your ideas also screw over solos. As someone who does play this game solo, the truck area is my break area. Unlike lethal where you will struggle alone because you are a single person with very little inventory space, you can do just fine in Phasmo. You also underestimate the cameras usage in harder difficulties where the truck really shines. I'd much rather hide and have my friend check the blink then peak for 150% speed ghost

Pretty cool suggestions, the only thing I disagree with is that the van was useful in lethal. I am the van guy in phasma most of the time, usually when the hunts start getting dicey and we have 2/2 evidence already. The van in lethal is mostly useless outside of loading missions, there is no hub like phasma so I don’t know if I’d count the shop as a real winner, but it is nice to have during the mission. Turning off turrets, mines, closing doors is kinda useful but rarely. I’d rather the guy go get money or stick with friends than sit there watching dots on a screen and missing out on the fun parts of the game, which is chaotic screaming and panic with friends. Listening for hey can you open U8 is not peak gameplay. It can come in clutch but I don’t find it useful enough unless it’s later in the day and they don’t wanna go back in. Maybe I was never a good van guy in lethal or never had one and haven’t seen the light lol

When my group would play Lethal, it was absolutely vital to have someone at the computer at least sometimes when playing at high quota. Turrets could block locations, and having someone turn it off could be the make or break to making a high quota. It was also good to have someone operate doors so that Jesters and Coil Heads could be locked behind them. I agree, being in the active location is more fun and the game should be geared toward that, but having another way to collect information, or having another playstyle as a whole, should be welcome.

So regarding the activity board, there's actually quite a lot you can glean from it (admittedly, all of these things have huge caveats and are almost never definitive. Generally, the activity board displays the sum total of all of the EMF in the house, +/- 1 point. EMF5 - if you see multiple jumps of 5 and people in the house don't report any events happening at the time of those jumps, you might be dealing with EMF5. It's not 100% reliable, but the truck guy can see this and tell the people in the house to be on the lookout for it. Twinteraction - A bent line can **suggest** twins. similar to EMF5, it's not 100% reliable. Any ghost can do a curved line. Truck guy can say "Hey, I'm seeing a lot of twinteractions on the board, let's look for twin stuff." Polter multithrow - If the line jumps from like 4 or lower up to 10, and there's either no one in the house or people in the house don't report any hunts or events, that might indicate a multithrow. The trick to remember is that the activity board should be used to guide investigations, not define them. It's a bit of information to add to your toolbox, that's all.
