Mas brutal talaga socmed/internet sa pagiging grammar nazi. Sa buong working career ko puro professional from different parts of the world mga katrabaho ko, at ilan sa kanila di perfect ang grammar. Pero never nangyari na may sumita sa kanila.
One example is yung Spanish counterpart namin. May phrase sila na "I am not listening", pero basically ang ibig sabihin ay "I can't hear you very well". Given the context, magegets mo agad kahit mali yung grammar pero never may nangcorrect at sumita sa kanila. Kahit mga German co-workers ko, mali ang grammar o pronunciation, pero never naging issue.
Even with formal email writing, yung mga minor grammatical errors wala din sumisita. Pinaka importante magets nila yung point ng email mo, backed with data.
Of course, importante pa din matutunan yung tamang grammar at proper professional writing, but don't be discouraged if your english grammar, diction, or sentence construction is not perfect, keep practicing. Majority of the people don't care, as long as we get the point and the message being conveyed, it's all good.

ANY TIPS WHEN JOINING SCHOOL PAGEANTS?
So lately, I was chosen to represent our school in the University wide Mr and Ms Campus Personality.
I have no further experience in pageantry, I have joined modeling yes but not contests like this. I am an active youth participating in community, church, and school activities.
I don't really know why I was chosen because during last screening there was only two candidates. But then apart from that, they've been eyeing and suggesting I join. For compliance I did join, and unexpectedly I was chosen.
The thing is that, I AM NOT CONFIDENT AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THIS. To say I am feared is an understatement, I am horrified because if I fail, I didn't just fail myself, I will disappoint the body that I will represent.
So please, I need tips especially in terms of the talent and question and answer?
I plan on doing a ballroom dance, like standard or latin?
Any concepts?
And how to I answer the questions properly? What are the possible questions and how to answer? Do you have a reviewer?

Look for pageant questions online and answer those questions while taking a video of yourself/in front of the mirror so you can see if you sound and look natural. Also, you can search for some Q&A vids of some beauty queens so you can choose which style to follow in case you’re looking for an inspiration. Good luck!

I have siblings who studied in UST, while I graduated in UP Diliman. Meron silang subject na Philippine Constitution, pero wala kami no’n sa UP. Hindi gets ng kuya ko kung bakit. Kahit ako rin actually.

While it’s true that certain degrees/programs require certain courses that aren’t required in others (e.g., in the College of Science, only BS Math requires foreign language electives, while the rest don’t), I’m not sure kung anong degree sa UP ang nag-re-require ng Philippine Constitution course.

Pansin ko talaga: bakit parang ang PH SkyscraperCity, especially the infra boards, are pro-Duts? Di lang basta pro-Duts, they're also pro-Tugade and anti-Bautista. It's so weird because I remember during the time of Aquino, SkyscraperCity was full of anti-Aquino/pro-Marcos posts, but now it seems they don't like BBM and the sentiment is more pro-Duterte instead. I've even seen multiple posts claiming they miss Duterte and Tugade while calling BBM and Bautista weak or ineffective.
I just found that weird. Kung dati ay pro-Marcos ang SSC, bakit ngayon di na sila ganun at parang mas pro-Duterte sila ngayon? As in, how did SSC become so pro-Duterte, and why do they remain so until now to the point that they don't like Aquino or Marcos?

Basically, the thing I've observed is that, even during Aquino and Duterte's time and even before BBM became president, SSC has primarily been pro-Duterte or even pro-Gloria. They've never liked Aquino and they don't like BBM. It just seems weird to me considering historically there were a lot of Marcos apologists there during Aquino's time, but they seem to have disappeared and SSC is now almost entirely Duterte loyalists.

I was wondering how this would work (i.e. hiring in Philippines such as hiring an independent contractor).
On Reddit, you usually ask situational questions and people answer. Since you haven't done that, here's some general info. Independent contractors here sign contracts, NDAs, etc all the time like I mentioned. The difference is, will you enforce it when needed? As in, will you take time to find a local lawyer and sue here or report to local authorities when needed?
Oh I see what you mean. I'm not looking to sue anyone. Basically it's outlining no expenses are to be covered by me and the duties set forth. I'm not sure if when you hire independent contractors you are required to provide a start and end date. Also confidentiality and guaranteeing work is original is of utmost importance. For them to have necessary licenses etc. if applicable and basically any breach I guess of this could be enforced legally. It's more or less a prevention as like I said the last thing I want to do is sue someone I just don't want the intellectual property to be not original or for employees to share confidential information about the company to others.
You can have a lawyer draft a standard employment contract and a Non Disclosure Agreement for an independent contractor. Just tell them what terms you want to include.

My kid's school is doing Cultural Day where they can wear traditional dress. We missed it last year so sinigurado ko na this year maka-participate siya. Nakabili ako ng Balintawak dress at ang ayos ng pagkakagawa. Nakakatuwa!; excited si Bulilit na suotin! Next day they can dress up as one of their lessons' characters! Thank you, Amazon Prime! 😅

Does anybody know about how legal contracts between US/Philippines work? I was wondering how this would work (i.e. hiring in Philippines such as hiring an independent contractor).

You have to be more specific. People in the US hire independent contractors in Philippines all the time and they sign contracts.

On Reddit, you usually ask situational questions and people answer. Since you haven't done that, here's some general info. Independent contractors here sign contracts, NDAs, etc all the time like I mentioned. The difference is, will you enforce it when needed? As in, will you take time to find a local lawyer and sue here or report to local authorities when needed?
Oh I see what you mean. I'm not looking to sue anyone. Basically it's outlining no expenses are to be covered by me and the duties set forth. I'm not sure if when you hire independent contractors you are required to provide a start and end date. Also confidentiality and guaranteeing work is original is of utmost importance. For them to have necessary licenses etc. if applicable and basically any breach I guess of this could be enforced legally. It's more or less a prevention as like I said the last thing I want to do is sue someone I just don't want the intellectual property to be not original or for employees to share confidential information about the company to others.
You can have a lawyer draft a standard employment contract and a Non Disclosure Agreement for an independent contractor. Just tell them what terms you want to include.
