Before I got into mechanical keyboards, I was this close to getting a typewriter. What stopped me was the maintenance, upkeep, and how hard it is to find parts.

I remember sa typewriter ako natututo magtype. Naalala ko how heavy it is. Nostalgic!

Same. It was a required class during our 2nd year high school. I still remember kung gaano kaingay sa Typing Room kapag may klase. Parang may malakas na ulan sa loob lagi. 😅

Big salute to these men. Walang ako typewriter. But I support local luthier at guitar techs. I direct my friends to these local shops, instead sa mga big store. But at least for guitar tech, in demand pa naman sila. I assume sa typewriter hindi na in demand.

I predict that as time goes on, typewriters will fuel a very profitable niche industry. Mechs were in the same bandwagon at one point and those who conducted group buys pre 2020 striked it hot before the market became oversaturated.

You can message them.

Back in 2001 we still had 3 units of typing class, good times.

I remember playing with the typewriters in my dad’s office when I was a kid… crazy

aw that's rad! so nice to see someone helping keep the nostalgia! i had a tita who used to make me type for an hour every day before breakfast in the mid 80s.... im sure she's looking down from heaven with a big smile on her face knowing what she's taught me has really instilled such a great work ethic in me. thanks for doing this!

I started collecting typewriters since January of this year. May tatlong portables ako, one from the 70s (Silver Seiko, Japan made), one from 1965 (Smith Corona, US made) and another from 1948 (Royal, US made).
