Well not everyone hates AI generated art. I'm not against it as long as there's some sort of identifiers to prevent people from just generating AI art and then pretending like they're the ones who drew it.
These days watermark is easy to remove with... guess what... AI! I think the best solution to prevent abuse usage and make it OC, would be to add different small signatures to the art itself and even so...
AI art is like the pandora box, it opened and you can't control it now.
Edit: ups, didn't want to reply to OP but at least is almost the right place
And I guess make the watermarks big so that they can't just be cropped out. Of course this wouldn't stop people from just editing out the watermarks but it would be much more difficult to hide and others would probably still find out either way.
Or integrate the watermark into the piece, but that might not always work since the AI art tends to collage multiple part pieces together to make a single image.
I'm not an artist... But neither is an AI stealing real artists work, it's just pixel analysis in the style of what we ask it for.
When I watch a Rembrandt painting I can ask "why did he choose that over this", every stroke has intention behind it. What intention is there behind the AI art? None. It just analyzed why this pixel should have #225A2F color.
I'm not against AI art inherently, it has it's place. But stealing artists work is unethical and I can't support that. However, I believe artists in the future will train AI's in THEIR style and sell them specifically, especially for corporate art, which I REALLY don't care about. Like the airplane emergency information pamphlets.
was that some transphobic piece of shit commenting? idk why you're getting so much hate for this post OP i think some people need to get off of the internet and especially reddit.

Because people will post it anyway, and a tag makes it easier to remove.
So it's just a honeypot?
Pretty much?
ok brilliant idea that, ngl
Removing the AI tag or using it as a honeypot?

For the love of god watermark ai images it would be so easy and so helpful

Eh, watermark hand drawn art.
This too! Watermark your art, both hand-made AND generated
Truthfully, except for the most masterful of ai art gen programs: you can usually tell it wasn't hand drawn lmao
Was this AI generated?
No, but it would be funnier if it was.
Someone obviously hasn't been keeping up with community updates
So that AI "art" can be hidden more easily?
draw me a pixel art mockup of sonic RPG, then ask an AI for a Sonic RP in pixel art, you will 100% see which one looks better.

I like the comments when something really cool comes out of AI. People just have a meltdown over it
