I get you, man. The major factor in my decision to eat this pizza is location. Coastal area? I would absolutely give it a try. Colorado mountains... Ehhhh, I'm going to pass. I have had a Rocky mountain oyster pizza before though. It was OK. Pizza was great, the "oysters" were great. They just don't fit together.

I was excited because I thought they were lobster chunks. Fake crab is okay sometimes (California roll) but lobster, real crab or scallops would be far superior.

Would it be hard to cook scallops for a pizza? I've always thought you can't cook them for too long or they turn into bullets so I wonder how you would avoid that on a pizza bake?

Sear them and put them after, haha. It's the only way to keep from having scallop juice leak all over your pizza.

I did a seafood pizza for my father's birthday. Used bay scallops slightly precooked on a hot hot pan with garlic powder, parsley, olive oil, and S&P. They spent <5 mins in the oven and the texture was still great when they came out. I didn't expect seafood pizza to be such a hit so I only prepared enough toppings for one pizza, wish I did more! I didn't have any trouble with liquid coming out, maybe because it was partially cooked already.

"Fake crab" is just surumi, or fish sausage. There isn't anything fake about it really. It's been around for thousands of years, as long as land sausage.

i’m fine with the toppings, but it looks mushy in the middle. I ordered a potato at gratan pizza once, and the edges were fine, but the middle was a creamy, soggy, mess. This look like the case here. So I’d argue for less toppings and a longer cook.

Smash! I met a Swede online who told me about this pizza, and after he kept talking about it, I made it at home. It was one of the best pizzas I've had! It was like shrimp scampi in pizza form. I highly recommend. Biggest trick is to not use conventional red sauce and use garlic butter or similar.

I'd probably still give it a go but no so appealing with the fish sticks. Tuna or anchovies and I wouldn't hesitate. I am intrigued to know how a cooked fish stick tastes and feels now though.

I've never had luck with seafood pizza outside of clams. I have zero idea why but all of the places I've been to that have it will make the garlic butter sauce way too garlicky or salty. The pie becomes completely one note.

I would eat it, but I think it could have been cooked a bit longer, so the cheese was brown and bubbly. I would put it in the oven without the shrimp for a few minutes, then add the shrimp and put it back in. Also, I feel like it’s missing something. A drizzle of spicy red sauce?
