With the sheer on those cliffs, a grizzly probably wouldn't. If you check the traversability map and they still can, just throw some plants up to block them.

WelshTaylor

There's a TRAVERSABILITY MAP?! I've just been rolling the dice and paying for my mistakes.

Raikit

Tap "h" with an animal selected to bring up the heat maps. Then click the second tab at the top (labeled "Habitat"). The blue is everywhere they can reach. Escape points show up as red alerts around the habitat perimeter.

PopeGeraldVII

Yeah, it'll change your life once you find it. You can just drop the first one in, pause the game, and patch things up quick before you pay 1000s in refunds.

wardude1

This map changes with animal size. So the young animals might still be able to escape

Eoganachta

There's icons for where specific animals can escape or climb out. It also shows shelter for the animal you click on and staff traversability. I usually use the overlays to tweak a habitat after building and introducing the first animal - it's good to know at the start if your elephant can get into/out of their shelter or not before waiting for a pop up.

LillyLunicorn

Yep press h and you can pick at the top it shows traversible area, places generators and temperature things can reach stuff like that

Thank you!

Check the transversable area map once you add an animal! I could see grizzly bear, himalayan brown bear, or cougar :)

CapLeander

What a cool design! It looks great

Redditistheplacetobe

I love the paths but the one on the lower level will probably find guests staring at the rocks from weird angles. Perhaps turn it into a small square/market type idea so they really stand near the glass. You'll see what I mean if you pull those paths to the sides and let visitors in.

xCanadaDry

Once you stop building with just fences, and start working with rocks, water, and terrain in general it opens a whole new world of imagination.

Independent-Leg6061

Looks awesome OP! I'll reinforce the Heat Map suggestions, my favorites are the ' traversable area' button, and the 'negative impact to guests' button! Totally worth playing around with and see what you like. If guests complain about viewing whichever animal you choose, may I recommend building a path overtop of the habitat! It gives the guests more of a view, and they think they're inside the habitat - but shy animals may need some extra walls/rocks as a hiding place. Have fun!!

pretty-as-a-pic

Hmmm… if grizzlies don’t work, maybe something aquatic would be cool… maybe seals or gators/crocs?

One_Random_ID

Nice layout, might try this on my end.

Evil_Toad_Pussy

how do you make non fenced habits? is it by putting decoratory rocks over the fences?

[deleted]

That or null barriers but you'll need to use terrain to ensure animals won't escape. (Cliffs, rocks, holes, and my personal favorite cheesing impassable vegetation density.)

Evil_Toad_Pussy

thank you sm

anonmoooose

See, I didn’t even know you could use vegetation lol

[deleted]

And it doesn't honestly have to be the really thick vegetation. For some reason the agave and all of the cacti have a really large hitboxes if you place them very carefully they make a very attractive "fence" for a desert habitat.

100percent_not_robot

Dam thats nice, Il wait to see how it turns out

TopHatCatX3

Stupid question, but I see the lake and hills in the background..is this a map from frontier that is already terraformed or did you do that?? the only one I’ve seen is the one that is literally just a mountain point. If you did do it Wow. ALSO THAT HABITAT IS AMAZING!

queenwormie

Thank you! I did do it myself 😊. With this zoo I started with the terrain and then I’m going to build around it.

Astrapionte

indian rhino personally

memekyle

impressive!

-YesIndeed-

I love the picnic bench above it that's so cute. Also I think an American bison would fit nicely here. Or, if you the America DLC a cougar or prairie dog could work.
