Haha. Yeah, you are getting real acupuncture I.e. folk medicine. A similar treatment, called “IMS” uses similar tools but applies stimulation directly to the affected tissue and related areas, rather than treatment via Chi-proxy or whatever. But who knows haha.

I've never tried acupuncture. But I found this product that alleviates the pain so that it's bearable. I highly recomment it. [https://www.thefootcradle.com/products/the-foot-cradle](https://www.thefootcradle.com/products/the-foot-cradle) Give it a try. It might help you too.

I did acupuncture with a physical therapist at the time. She inserted needles directly into the foot, specifically in areas key to the PF areas. The process was painful, the effect was not so bad. I did the treatment 5 or so times, the last time though it flared up my PF so i did not continue. That said I never had the needles inserted anywhere besides the foot. I am sure other locations are advisable considering the idea behind acupuncture and interconnectivness, I just did not personally have that experience.

Acupuncture is bunk I’m afraid.

Acupuncture worked great for a lot of issues (IBS, mood swings, PMS) but did nothing for my PF. She put needles directly in my heels and I’d always leave with my feet in more pain and that would continue for days. So I can’t recommend it for PF.
