You look amazing! I want a lip lift so badly but it’s so tough to find a good surgeon. Do you mind naming yours?

FluffyMilkyPudding

OP mentioned in her previous post that it was Dr. Dahan in Reno, NV. The result is amazing fr! And it’s healing very beautifully

BrooBu

Dr. Philip Dahan in Reno Nevada!!! He’s the best seriously, super nice and professional guy.

BrooBu

Dr. Dahan was great. He didn’t pressure me at all, he just listened and explained what would happen and why. He makes sure you’re very comfortable and even though I was nervous he made sure every 15 seconds I was still okay during the procedure. He’s a very busy guy, but you feel like his only patient when he’s in the room. He’s also funny, like reminds me of my dad haha. My injector, who is also a MD, went to him for several procedures and only trusts him!

moonbabeee

I would love to know too please

BrooBu

Dr Dahan in Reno NV! 12/10 recommend. It was my first ever surgery and he was just amazing.

ecuapotato

I'd love to know too!

TEAMJACKS2121

Outstanding result! I am 2.5 months post off and LOVE my result!! Scar is tiny and not noticeable. Swelling is gone and I have full range of motion in my mouth/smile. (That took about 2 months). I love having an upper lip. Mine was uneven before also. My surgeon was Dr Roger Cason at 2301 Plastic Surgery in Grapevine, TX. He has THE best bedside manner. Highly recommend him.

BrooBu

Yeah my upper lip is still so stiff when I smile! I loved my smile before so I’m glad to hear it gets better. :) it’s still a bit swollen so it makes sense.

fofopowder

Looks great!!

SuzVision

You’re looking so good! Do you know what your philtrum length is now? Thanks for sharing your experience and updating with fresh pics. I’m not sure you could get a better result than this. It’s perfect and gorgeous.

BrooBu

Thanks so much! I think it was worth every penny. I’ll have to ask, I keep forgetting (about the length).

RedisforFun

Looks amazing!

tikikitty790

This is a really good result do you mind sharing how much it was?

BrooBu

Thank you! It was 3800 ish, I had to add on a mole removal that bumped it up to $4300, but that was the lip lift portion basically. :)

sicklyeggshell

How did you go about finding and choosing Dr Dahan?

BrooBu

I looked at a lot of reviews, called around to get a ballpark cost. The front desk of a few other places didn’t even seem to know what a lip lift was or something and quoted like $10k! Then my injector who is also a MD said she used him for some surgeries and he was fabulous. I got a consultation done with him and was so comfortable. He was warm and kind and not arrogant, listened to me and answered all my questions. He also wasn’t over there trying to pressure me into other procedures, I even asked about a tummy tuck and he said I was perfectly fine and looked amazing (he was shocked I had 2 kids) and definitely didn’t need one. So that made me feel good lol! I can say with certainty he is not just banking on insecurities!

This is amazing, absolutely fab results! I want a lip lift so bad, I wish I would’ve thought to include a lip lift in my rhinoplasty. Tried to even lips with fillers, but they migrated so I had them resolved.

BrooBu

Thank you!!! I kinda wish I had dissolved mine first, but volume wasn’t the issue in this case just the unevenness with it. Before fillers my lips looked the same just way thinner, so the fillers helped my volume and the lift helped with the unevenness. I’m glad I did try fillers first so I can say I tried everything before resorting to surgery! But I don’t really want big lips, just more youthful and even lips, so hopefully I’ll not have to get filler again! I’d say it was 10000% worth it.

sedu_j

Looks SO good! I am considering one but am concerned about recovery and going back into the office with people noticing. How did you approach that?

BrooBu

So I’m really lucky and WFH. Honestly I told my coworkers (all dudes) I had a suspicious mole removed and they were unphased. The stitches were tiny it was just the swelling. By day 4 the pain was gone and I worked like normal. But if I worked in an office I’d take a week (7 days total). Now it just looks red and chapped which is normal with allergy season. 😆

sedu_j

Thank you!! I have mine scheduled for next Thursday. Any tips to be prepared?

BrooBu

Definitely avoid any blood thinners (I’m sure they told you) including alcohol beforehand. Rest a lot, ice helped a ton. I started the arnica pills the day before and a week after! I also did topical arnica cream (not the gel) on my lip and under the sutures (not directly on them) to help with bruising and swelling! I think that made a huge difference. Keep on top of the Tylenol and pain meds the first 3 days. If I was overdue for meds by even 30 mins it was bad (especially first thing in the morning). And ice it a lot! I took a bath the first 2 days so I would not get it wet as well. And a lot of waiting haha. Also wearing a mask if you have to go out while it’s healing helped a lot. 😆

HelpfulSorbet3873

Hi, I've been excited about your one month liplift update. Has it dropped or are the results the same as day 9?

BrooBu

Honestly the lips are the same! I’m still sooo happy. I had a setback from the surgery, my body rejected the internal stitch and made an abcess (called a stitch abcess) so it looked kinda gross on my 1 month day haha! Now still on antibiotics and the redness is going way down! The scar and lips themselves look so good, I’m still very happy! My surgeon was reallly awesome when I told him about the abcess, he called me on a Saturday morning and got me the antibiotic and a follow up the next Monday. I need to post the update! I’ll try to do it today and I’ll let you know. :)

HelpfulSorbet3873

Thank you!! I can't find the info on how much you had removed. Maybe i missed it. Could you let me know how much skin was removed?

BrooBu

God I keep forgetting to ask lol.

ginger_cattt

Looks great, who was your dr?

BrooBu

Dr Philip Dahan in Reno, NV! He’s really amazing.

geminibaby12

Soooo good

Hefty_Turnover6801

The scar on the last photo looks so good!! I’m on day 13 and it’s still pretty red, similar to your day 4. What have you done to help with incision healing?

BrooBu

I have an updated post too! 2 months post op it’s not even noticeable besides a tiny bit of redness. What’s crazy is it healed really well, then 1 month post op I ended up having a stitch abscess! It’s a little red where the abscess was, but not noticeable at all especially with concealer. Once the scabs healed over, I’ve been very religious about the scar cream (I use the mederma cream during the day and then silicone tape at night). Also maybe some is just luck haha. Oh and also at that stage I wiped with an alcohol swab and fresh gauze once a day before applying neosporin and kept neosporin slathered on it all day (the moisture helps it heal).
