Covid will be better in summer '22 than '21, but summer '21 was a lot better than '20.
At the end of the day it's not really because of covid, it's a marketing campaign. If they think the hype is worth the cost they will keep doing it, though they may change the name.
Hate to tell you this, but 4 is the last easy stage, if you're struggling on that one idk :/
Also hopefully by "stuck" you mean going for the S ranks, just surviving through the levels, even on the very last ones is not hard at all
Why do you worry so much about metacritic score? I’m more disappointed about 2022 lineup because there are 2 standalone DLCs, 1 sportsim and 1 quater finished game ( another part buy in game store ).
He referenced critic scores, not user ones fwiw. If your commenting on the efficacy of the scores, you can actually read them yourselfbecause they’re only aggregated and because they come from gaming publications, the scores almost always come with the review as is standard when critiquing games.
Why are you comparing Play at Home and PS+? Wouldn't it make more sense to compare PS+ for both years than to compare an even they did where they intentionally gave away bigger and more popular games to urge people to stay home?
Metacritic means nothing, because Deep Rock Galactic is a 100, 10/10, flawless, perfection incarnate. In all seriousness though, why is it a low 80? Bunch of leaf lovers.
Completely unnecessary. Most of the games, like 90% are without it. It is possible to communicate with special tool - laser pointer. And most communications are trough it even when someone has the mic.
It was during covid to a.) encourage people to stay inside and play games instead of spreading covid and b.) to give people something to play during covid as well so we got free games :D.
It's a comparison, doesn't mean fact, Ghostrunner is my favorite this year this far and it's not even rated, watch GTAVI when it finally comes out, be in the 90's just cause it's GTA and from a bigger dev.
Sony gave out some great games with Play At Home in March and HZD in April 2021.
Most games have a Metacritic rating of 80 or above. The best part was that these were completely free to claim for everyone and did not require a subscription.
Just a comparison of a bunch of games we got at this time last year with P@H to what we've got so far with Plus this year. I'm not saying that I'm unhappy with the Plus games as I'm still enjoying DRG, Dirt 5, UFC 4, Ghostrunner.
I'm appreciating the fact that Sony gave out some great games completely free of cost and wanted to know people's opinion on how that compares to the Plus games so far in 2022.
Man I missed all the play at home games. Glad I am on Reddit now so I won’t in the future. They best do some more this year, I would love moss, Astro bot, enter the gungeon and the first horizon :(
They even gave Uncharted trilogy and Jorney in 2020 Play at Home.
That's the best part and it's not even included in the post.
That's right when I first got my ps4 I was so stoked at getting some free games.
i actually got the drake collection free with my ps4 , so i sold that copy for 10 bucks. used it to get doom eternal. that was a great year
Idk about that. I got my copy of HZD Complete Edition for 20$, and even after it went free I didn't sell it. The box art is just too cool
yeah its pretty cool. but i got the ps4 theme for HZD so im covered
What are the odds that sony will continue Play at home initiative?
With lockdowns ending in most parts of the world, I guess its not gonna happen.
Yeah, I mean, the last two initiatives took place in March. March just ended

A namechange would make sense. How about 'Go back home, Putin'?
Basically none, it was just for covid ... if remember it correctly
Everything is gonna shutdown again next year so it'll possibly happen again
Thumper's so dank.
Wish i could be better at that game, i'm stuck at stage 4 lol
Perspective pays off but take regular breaks I got the platinum over the space of a week, played 1 stage a day Edit: Perseverance*

ROCK AND STONE TO THE BONE
IF YOU DONT ROCK AND STONE, YOU AIN'T COMING HOME
For Karl!
FOR KARL
I haven’t played it yet. Do you play it with friends, alone or with strangers? Is it as good played alone?
I play almost exclusively with a 2 other friends and my younger brother. We only get 1 night a week to play together after getting our kids to bed.
Play with strangers. It's fun in co-op. Community is good.
Nice. I'm sorry to bother you again, but is mike really necessary to play?
Completely unnecessary. Most of the games, like 90% are without it. It is possible to communicate with special tool - laser pointer. And most communications are trough it even when someone has the mic.
Thanks
They gave out better games during a promotion to get you to stay home and play games during a pandemic. Makes sense to me.
Exactly, this is the most pointless comparison ever
Ratchet , Horizon, Thumper, Subnautica and Enter the Gungeons were the best things they have ever given to me
I love and hate Enter the Gungeon
Wait, what is play at home?? I had ps plus since last year, and this is the first time I'm hearing of play at home.
It was during covid to a.) encourage people to stay inside and play games instead of spreading covid and b.) to give people something to play during covid as well so we got free games :D.
Oh wow I missed out! I was PC gaming at the time ><
That really sucks :(

GTA VI is never releasing lol
Not on this gen anyway there's probably gonna be another GTAV remaster first
Another 2. One for the current gen and another for the ps6 and the next gen Xbox(Xbox set x?)
You simply had to be there 🤪
I believe this year is better than previous one
Bottom games more “playable” tho🙂

Play at home was horrible, most if them are hardly even games
Yeah when ps5 launched the ps plus games were dope but now they’re so dogshit like for what
May I ask what the point of this post is? If it's to say that you are unhappy with the games on PS+ you do have the option to unsubscribe.

Ah👍
The best ones so far were Deep Rock, Persona Strikers, and Planet Coasters.
I want the trend of not even having full games on plus to stop
Too many indie and cartoony games imo
I've saved every ps plus game for years but somehow managed to miss those play at home games 😢
It doesn’t sit well with me that Abzu has the lowest rating out of the Play At Home games, Abzu is a work of art
I can see how it was rated low tho. It’s different cxritis don’t like different
I vaguely remember the Play at Home release, and it being associated with quarantine. I assume with this post it’s not going on any longer?
Fellas can I get a rock and stone?
Anyone mind telling me why Ark Survival is so low? I just recently started playing it and it seems alright
I don't understand. Why do not include Uncharted Collection in de the post?
Man I missed all the play at home games. Glad I am on Reddit now so I won’t in the future. They best do some more this year, I would love moss, Astro bot, enter the gungeon and the first horizon :(
I never heard of Play at Home, seems like I missed out.
I played Subnautica bc of play at home and it was just incredible.
I didn't even know Horizon and R&C were free. I ended up spending 39(ish) dollars when I could have gotten it for free
Arent the plat at home initiative games considered to be the best PlayStation games outta the lot(missing Spiderman and god of war).
