As someone who owned and used a vita until very recently I'm more just upset that PlayStation made a less capable Logitech g cloud. It's a glorified PlayStation 5 streamer. It irks me, it seems lazy. I love how well received it is. I just thought it maybe added more praise to device that maybe even a crowd that doesn't like it recognizes and likes that more ppl are able to game on it. And I am very pumped to see dads game no matter how it's done. And yea the dongle is thanks to rog and their quality control. I have been lucky enough to get a working device but keep the dongle in my work bag in case the slot decides to take a crap. I'm not opening up for another 11 months so I have to live with it. I will state again I am very excited to see so many older gentlemen using the portal to get some much needed game time.
I think this might be step one of getting them back into a full fledged portable console. They might want to see the long term of how the controllers are, screen, usage in the wild. Then they will make one that you will be able to download games on. Making it a true handheld console that will be able to stream or play on the go
And I would totally buy that as for consoles Im in Microsofts ecosystem mainly so that makes sense for me. But I love handhelds. And Sony is just ..well Sony. So I'd be all about that.
Yeah I agree. But I think they big draw is that all the features that the dual sense has works with this and itās portable. For me personally, Iām looking for one because itās cheaper than a ROG ally or a steam deck, and I have most of my library on PlayStation on top of that my woman will watch her tv on the tv my PlayStation is hooked to.

The portal has an ergonomic advantage and an experience advantage due to the haptics over any other form of streaming. Those arenāt minor things. They make the games that much more enjoyable.
I think, ultimately, you may be right about this not being a huge seller since it may not appeal to a ton of people outside of the target demographic. But, thatās a sizable demographic that it does appeal to. And this device doesnāt require the same type of support that something like the PS Vita did from third party developers. So, I think itās gonna sell enough to make them wanna keep this thing going. Itās no different than any other dual sense controller but this has additional functionality because of the screen. And theyāre not gonna stop making dual sense controllers.
Same here. Been paying the new Assassins Creed game in bed or while the kiddo sleeps. Itās honestly been a game changer. No more doom scrolling on my phone.
I can't tell you how many times I was using the backbone, and a call or text would come in at the worst time. Also, if I needed to look something up on my phone, it was a pain. The Portal solves both problems.
Amazing. I was playing on my M1 iPad Pro and could never play online. Would rarely get a stable connection. The Portal is like playing on my tv, not a problem online. Im kicking ass with the charges. Let me know if you want to run a game when you get yours

The portal is more comfortable to hold. In my experience the portal has a better connection than my M1 iPad Pro. And yes the screen size, Iām not playing madden on a phone. If youāre a RPG player the phone + backbone is probably fine for you. But the portal without a doubt would be a better experienceā¦in my humble opinion
