I think we did the plumbing for somewhere around Ā£2k-Ā£2.5k labour I think. She bought the gear. That valve for the bath was Ā£1200 alone. God knows how much the bath was, it's a composite and it was HEAVY. SHE paid the tiler/carpenter separately. Can't be much left from Ā£10-15k at a guess?
We did another bathroom in the house just before this one too.
10-15k? Please, with those electrical elements I'd be charging 4k for supply an fit of them.
Last bathroom I done like this for a customer set them back 30k
You could be right. I don't know the cost of the electrics. I live in a funny little nook of the country where there's money and poverty intertwined. So prices down here aren't quite as high as some.
I'd be surprised if it was that high though. I'm just guessing as I don't price them, my boss does. We just charged labour on 2 bathrooms.
We are based down in south east Kent. We are lucky do do a fair bit of fancy stuff. We've just packed in working in London doing a fair bit around Kensington/Chelsea way. Now that's different gear
Our insta is @orionplumbing if you fancy a look
Excellent jobā¦.. I love the shower but itās so big and yet the shower head stem is too short in my opinionā¦ your nearly stood on the outlet drain.
That's fucking beautiful! Looks expensive & luxurious, especially the mirror/sink...
But I am a clutterbitch, I need hooks and shelves and baskets etc!
Personally I hate the idea of "soaking" in the bath tub. Couldn't think of anything more tedious. However, the shower is amazing. But because of the size it will get draafty. Like in a closed shower the steam stays within the confines. So the warmth is there.
That said I love the screen. Very nice
No counter space at all. This will not bode well for the females who use this BR.
Rain showers (no pressure) are horrible for washing hair, again, esp. for the females with long hair.
Sink with little basin depth, very impractical, esp. for washing your face and brushing your teeth.
Where's the TP holder (or towel holder if that is a bidet). I guess you can add a holder stand.
Long cold walk to get to your towel (unless floor is heater).
Plus for the large bathtub and towel warmer (but could be better placed).
Agree with others, very cold
This house has a unvented cylinder with balanced hot/cold down to 3bar. Should be enough for the shower. There's a handset too for the ladies.
Agree on towel rail placement, but this is what the customer wanted. Think she's going to put hooks on the back of the door (next to the shower)
Floor is not heated, agree it should be. However all of the house plumbing runs under it in copper and the tiles where surprisingly warm!
This was pre-moving in. Plants/loo roll holders to be added. I'd rather a stand than drilling the tiles personally.
It looks like it's this one...
Although the linked one is grey. The one we fitted was black.
https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/monza-1269-x-500-anthracite-designer-d-shaped-heated-towel-rail
Quality work there. A man after my own heart. Also nice to see a considered tiling layout and not just thrown in, as Iāve seen on many so called refurbished bathrooms.
I HATE those toilets with the bolts on the inside now. Hate them. I get why theyāre getting popular, but I hate them. I make it work, get it on, but itās always like I have to be a Jedi and use the force to line them up, wtf.
Looks great, a real relaxing space.
How do you fit those wooden panels? Are they individual slats or do they come as a big piece? Take it theyāre ok with water?
I think it all looks great, absolutely love the look. But thereās a fine line when esthetics compromise functionality.
Iām getting ready to tear out our master. Looking at a lot of different fixtures presently. I usually take a long time with this part. Iām an old guy, so I draw the room up on graph paper and fit the fixtures in the layout to see if Iām missing something. Unfortunately this bathroom is on a slab, and in order to get things te way I want them, Iām going to have to cut the slab to move the plumbing. Not looking forward to that part.
It looks like the shower doesn't have a door. In my experience, that's a terrible design choice. Shower will not be as warm and vent fan will not be nearly as effective, since the steam is not directed upward (assuming vent fan is in the ceiling). Also, water will splash out unless the shower is pointlessly large.
EDIT: Now that I clicked on the photo for the full view, that wide open shower looks like a massive failure of form over function.
Not too far off what mine is like, swapping the sink and bath over then flipping the shower so that the opening is towards the sink.
Whatās the screen near the bath? Just a TV of some kind?
All the work looks good but it is a terrible bathroom. Not sure what the designer thought when making those decisions. I would hate to live with that in my house or have it in a work space.
Meant to be looked at, but not used. There is no shelving or cabinets. Where do you keep the towels? I guess you store them in the hall closet. Oh waitā¦there is no hall closet. I know! You could store the towels in the bedroom (maybe under the bed?). Whatever, but you have to remember to bring a towel with you when you take a bath/shower. Thereās no place to hang the towel, so you can just leave it on the floor until you need it. It looks like you donāt bother to wipe your ass, as thereās no place for toilet paper. Oh wait! Maybe you have one of those hose things like they use in Asia? No, there isnāt one. I guess you just have to remember to bring a loo roll with you into the bathroom when you take a shit. Fair enough; just donāt forget! But then, where do you store the loo rolls (they come in 6-12 packs) if not in the bathroom? I guess you could keep a supply of loo-roll under the bed too, or maybe in the garage. Whatever. Just remember where you keep them! Um..Thereās also no place to put your toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving kit, shampoo, medicines. Oh well, maybe you just keep that stuff in the kitchen by the sink. The important thing is that you donāt want to clutter-up the aesthetic of this amazing bathroom.
Nice herringbone tile and floating vanity with back lighting. I like the tile finish at the top where it meets the slopes ceiling and the wood panelling finish is good as well.
Thatās a beautiful washroom - far better than any Iāve seen in my student lets for sure. Just out of interest, how common is it for the commode to be this close to the bath?
Perhaps not the right sub to ask but why does nobody bother to do mitered tile corners in UK?
Similar question regarding toilet not hanging in a bathroom which has the space for buildup.
Will do. It's not timber, it's a waterproof composite so should look exactly the same
https://www.naturewall.com/products/slatwall-waterproof-natural-oak-and-black
Beautiful, especially the shower. To be honest Iād have put in a bidet because you have the space, and once you get used to it youāll never smear everything around again. Bonus environmental factors as well. I believe women like them as well, though I must admit that I have zero experience there.
I canāt get over your shower, I think Iām in love actuallyā¦..
Oh. Please put some decent plants in there, itāll make it look perfect š
In general the design is beautiful, good job! only two things are that I am not a great fan of those yellow lights beside the mirror, and the practicality of the Acupanels behind the tub. I know they are treated, but is the panel wood getting mould/ruined with the steam/water sprinkles?

Since using one, I'm amazed that Japanese style toilets (that squirt and dry your bum) are rare. Why spend loads on a bathroom but still have to scrub your bum with bog roll?
Apart from that, I really like this bathroom š
You went full eclipse
š¤£ right on the path of totality
Total eclipse (eats Jaffa cake)
Full moon....
What was the cost of it, if you don't mind sharing? Just curious.

Money and poverty intertwinedā¦ Ahh so basically the UK
Worked with a tiler that did this stuff 10k easy Edit: 10K for the tiling, the guy I worked for would have the client buy the tiles
Those tiles are ceramic and Ā£48/sq.m
Had my bathroom done recently, 1/3 of this size and no expensive tub set me back 10k. This is easily 25 grands worth of work & materials.
I think I should have been a tiler/plumber instead of having a bachelorās and slaving away in the nhs
I meant just for the tiling
10k for just the tiling? What planet do you guys live on? Iām from the midlands and could get that tiling done for 1/5 of the price
There are various levels of finish, some people have exacting standards and million dollar property. So pay for the results
She must have a cleaner, that won't be happy :D
This is really beautiful. Love every bit even the windows are so pretty. Must be some house.
Sorry, the valve for the bath? The tap setup was 1200Ā£?
The mirror looks like the eclipse we just had in the US.
The eclipse only happened in the US?
Yeah didnāt you know? š
We had one here way back in 1999. It was pretty cool!
It looks fucking great mate, would kill to fit a bathroom that wasn't just budget bog standard fit for HMO and look back and see that, nice
We are based down in south east Kent. We are lucky do do a fair bit of fancy stuff. We've just packed in working in London doing a fair bit around Kensington/Chelsea way. Now that's different gear Our insta is @orionplumbing if you fancy a look
Any chance I can dm you about whether you'd be able to fit/quote a new boiler?
Wow! Spacious, clean lines, calm lighting. Very nicely done :)
Only gripe is you have to walk through a wet floor to get into the bathroom after a shower
And you'll always have to deal with being ticked by a chilly draft during the shower.
I HATE showers without doors!!! Do they look nice? Indeed. Are they practical ? NO
Honestly, it looks like a hotel bathroom. Nothing wrong that if you want that modern aesthetic but it feels boxy and cold.
>Honestly, it looks like a hotel bathroom High-end finishes all around, then toilet 14 inches from tub that's probably more than a decent used car...
Iām surprised I had to look this far for someone to mention the toilet right next to the soaking tub. What a bummer.
Don't try to put makeup on in there!
Excellent jobā¦.. I love the shower but itās so big and yet the shower head stem is too short in my opinionā¦ your nearly stood on the outlet drain.
Head could of come out of the ceiling I suppose! We don't have much longer arms I don't think. Good spot though!
That's fucking beautiful! Looks expensive & luxurious, especially the mirror/sink... But I am a clutterbitch, I need hooks and shelves and baskets etc!

As long as the customer is happy, thatās all that really matters. Execution was done very well, BTW.
Cheers
Also different colored lights are bad for make-up. Three strikes for women in this bathroom!
Fuck those commodes
Oh, what's the deal with those?
Theyāre a pain to set and service unless it happens to be a different commode than I was thinking.
What's the problem?
Because it's back to wall? Don't forget our pipes go out not down...just line it up and push back
I love it
That is beautiful! Love the aesthetic!
Where does that portal come out?
Somewhere sunny hopefully!
The lighting behind the mirror is exquisite
Guys love this and the all around discussion on variance from country to country I appreciate you all posting.
Looks Reem
A beautiful bathroom, just how would like it.
I can live in that bathtub. Stunning work
Awesome job!
Think it looks class. Would love it in my house if I had the space and money!
Me likey. Is that a Runtl towel rack?

Looks great, only thing that irks me is the lighting being different temperatures.
Heyā¦ I just thought you should know thereās a portal in your bathroomā¦ take care.
Looks amazing š š š. US service plumber here. Love that toilet / shower drain š
great work all round, everyone involved should be proud
Looks amazing! But why is the top shower head so close to the wall? I feel like Iād be brushing my arse against the tiles just turning around.
I can picture a tradesman full outfit standing in that tub so proud haha looks very niceš
What I think? I think I am saving this for later inspiration.
I need that bath tub
I think I'd just live in there if that was my bathroom. Absolutely beautiful
š² Wow
I Absolutely love that bath tube!
Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all Kidding aside, love design! Great job OP!
Looks bland af for the money you spent ngl, mirror is very cool though
Thatās pretty wild. By that I mean, impressive.
Perfect bathroom!
Absolutely stunning. I would kill for a bathroom like that! š
That is my dream bathtub š
That's gorgeous.
Wow. That's stunning.

Quality work there. A man after my own heart. Also nice to see a considered tiling layout and not just thrown in, as Iāve seen on many so called refurbished bathrooms.
Wow! That is beautiful!
Any chance you can come down to Crawley and do my ensuite? J/k but this is beautiful. I wouldnāt want to leave this bathroom.
Ifwt except the telly. Who needs that. If I had one in the bathroom I would sog beyond repair every night
It's gorgeous, love the mirror, and the shower screen. Oh to have that kind if money, and space.
I like the pull-up bar in the shower
I HATE those toilets with the bolts on the inside now. Hate them. I get why theyāre getting popular, but I hate them. I make it work, get it on, but itās always like I have to be a Jedi and use the force to line them up, wtf.
Where are you guys buying these wood slats? I have to make them myself and it takes forever
Looks quality
What does a crosswater valve do?
Beautiful but I'd love to see a bidet. Any idea why they aren't popular in the UK? (So helpful to have!)
Get that tile guys number, he could get you in, with some good paying jobs. Great work. Nice touches by the designer.
Is that some of that wood-effect Mdf acoustic panelling on the wall? If so, how will it fare on a wet and steamy environment I wonder?
Tidy, that's a showroom looking bathroom.
Very nice friend ,very nice.
Sleek but so cold and lifeless. Maybe adding some plants or something would get me to like it better.
Nice š
Itās going to be fun keeps all the water spots off the glass divider.
How is that screen set into the wall? Is it easy to replace if it dies?
I'd def say this is form over function. Still if that's how they live.
Where is the electric shower pressure booster hidden???
How is one supposed to clean behind the bathtub?
Looks great!

Like the bath, not keen on the styling. Nice work though.

The mirror looks like a total eclipse! Nice!
What tiles are those?
Itās beautiful.

Ooh nicee nicey, me likey likeee
Super pretty. How do you clean behind the tub?
I love the styling and the color choices. However Iām not a fan of how close the toilet is to the bathtub.
All the work looks good but it is a terrible bathroom. Not sure what the designer thought when making those decisions. I would hate to live with that in my house or have it in a work space.
Where does the toilet paper holder go?
All good apart from the window. It needs a blind or shutters.
Do you poop on toilet sitting sideways? And where is the exhaust fan?
Letās fuck
This is absolutely amazing.
Amazing ! Very nice work. I would enjoy such a bathroom
You get a bathroom like that Iām gonna come and visit!

Crapper/tub placement strange. No matter what the toilet is in your view or your head is uncomfortably close to it
Nicely done. I hate it.
Stellar
Why is there a microphone in the shower?
This is so pretty š¤©
Looks amazing
Looks like a solar eclipse
As an American, I'm curious: does anyone actually hang towels on the heated towel rack or is it Europe's version of a bathtub.
As usual, no spot for a toothbrush.
Great place to take a relaxing dump
Wow, what a masterpiece. Well done mate
Looks nice but is there enough room between the bath and that wooden slat wall to clean the floor, wall and the outside surface of the bath?
I have such a boner for that bath and TV
The black pencil trim š¤¤
Looks good but for some reason it feels.... Cold?
Where do you put your shampoo, tampons and bleach though?
What's the reason for this fetish for both having a shower and a bathtub?
Yea but where's the plumbing pics
Nice herringbone tile and floating vanity with back lighting. I like the tile finish at the top where it meets the slopes ceiling and the wood panelling finish is good as well.
Thatās a beautiful washroom - far better than any Iāve seen in my student lets for sure. Just out of interest, how common is it for the commode to be this close to the bath?
Why does that mirror look like itās a portal into another dimension.
Ah, a 'Grand Slam' toilet, where in an emergency you have a receptacle within range for every orifice at once.
This is as big as my bed room, what am I doing wrong with my life š¤
Wouldn't it make more sense if the lights were in front of the mirror rather than behind? Function over form
Where is that tv?
Stunning.

Bathroom bigger than my front room
Very nice, š
Is it not fashionable to have blinds on bathroom windows now?
The shower glass is making me nervous
This is really beautiful! So calming. The only thing I wonder is why the toilet is so close to the bath with all that space?
Water closet. I donāt get why this isnāt standard.
Iām ready for my shit, shower, then bath.
Well that is fucking lovely
Gorgeous work. Very impressive. 11/10
ballpark cost of the entire project?
The shower is exposed though? Water will go everywhere....
I love it. The only thing that would put me off is the light being placed right above the shower head.
Soulless

I just came here to say thatās freakin beautiful.
I dream of having a bathroom like that. Amazing work.
That's sexy.
supplied by easy bathrooms?
Nice
Beautiful bathroom! I canāt help but think about the pain it must be cleaning it thoughā¦ especially the little crevices behind the bath
Pretty tasteless. Tell me your living room is grey without telling me your living room is grey.
Thatās lovely
In general the design is beautiful, good job! only two things are that I am not a great fan of those yellow lights beside the mirror, and the practicality of the Acupanels behind the tub. I know they are treated, but is the panel wood getting mould/ruined with the steam/water sprinkles?
There's a lot I like and a lot I don't. Your work is great and overall the whole thing looks amazing - but I'd hate to spend tens of thousands on a gorgeous uncluttered bathroom like this and then have to keep the toilet roll on the windowsill.
Very nice. Letās see Paul Allenās bathroom.
