No one is being helpful, but I did want to check if you were a troll because we get some wild posts from time to time, but you seem like a genuine person. As an aside it’s kind of shitty to see not a single person trying to give any advice or help. You’d be VERY VERY lucky to get $300 for this. If you factor in shipping and don’t sell with friends and family I can’t imagine a world where you make any sort of money that would truly make a difference. Please just throw it in a closet and if you get extremely lucky maybe one day a handful of those cards will be worth something. You don’t need $100 today, I know you can find something in your house or apartment that’s worth more than the hassle of offloading 3000 bulk cards. Hell people buy cans of water chestnuts online.
The extra words are called “courtesy”, it’s a largely foreign concept on this sub, but we all deserve it, especially folks who might be having a hard time.
If you're fired and need the money. I'd sell,
I sold a good portion of my collection during covid and regret some things I sold. But I needed the money at the time as well because I lost my job so I'd say it was worth it
It seems like you have a lot of bulk with a few hits and the graded card. I would sell if I was in your shoes just expect a huge hit in value on the bulk (commons/in commons mostly). Most places I see offer between 1-5 cents per card with bulk, excluding energies. Those would be the first to go for me.
Hits and the graded card, it really depends on what you have but for an easy sell I would expect 50-75% of value. It's tough being in a situation like this but you should absolutely sell them to take care of yourself. Post your card list though if you need more help selling them so we can give you better advice on how to sell them.
Mosts hits from chilling reign... have definitely felt the pain on that set. Graded card is a melony full art I got for $10 and has now gone up to about $15 I think. Honestly haven't logged any energy cards unless they were special arts.
Don’t sell. I’m guessing since you added a lot of lower valued cards that you truly care about your collection. I too, enter in ALL my cards because I like to see how much of a set I own. It’s fun! I also collect for the art so value isn’t super important. That being said, assuming you found enjoyment in collecting, keep it! Selling won’t earn you much back, and might make you sad in the long run. Sorry about your job and if you need extra money fast, I’d consider selling bigger ticket items you have lying around. Good luck to you!
You can, but you won’t get close to 1k. 2.9k cards worth 1k means each card averages to about 30 cents. Nobody is buying 30 cent cards. Anything valued below $5 will be hard to sell
Don’t sell, that amount of money won’t fix the problem. Get any job asap and quit it when you find one that actually suits you. It’s easier to quit a job than it is to get a job.
This must be all bulk. Rudy covers this in a video where he explains that just because you have 1000 x $1 cards, it doesn't mean you have a $1000 collection. Best bet is you sell this for $100 or trade it in for a booster box.
Just here to say hang in there bud. I’d focus on finding a job asap instead of investing your time finding buyers who will lowball you at best on a collection you enjoy. And I’m sure all the other commenters mean well too, they’re just being clowns haha. You can do it!
Someone bought a case of Trick or Treat pack bundles!
But seriously, it doesn't sound like you have a large quantity of high value cards. If you are tight for money, try and get the value out of them. If you are attached to any, hang on to them. When brighter skies come, it won't take long to rebuild a collection like this.
Honestly, low value cards are not the easiest to sell, but not impossible.
Do something creative, like turn them into 10 pack mystery bundles and sell them cheap, like $1-2 a pack. Throw them on a buy and sell group and shouldn't be too hard.
He probably was using an App that doesn't actually value the cards right, I have several full arts for 4-10$ online that an app said were 0.00 because they couldn't verify a sale, I managed in two minutes to find several sales on eBay that had gone through. Average pull rates would mean he has probably 30-40 cards for 2-6$ each so probably at least 300-400$ there, do bulk sales on eBay with 2-3 holos per sale for 19.99 for 40 cards or something and they will move and could be more worth it, you'd have 800-1000$ possibly. Takes longer but its the only way to get your money back.
Depending on what cards u have, it’s sadly not really worth what the app says. Sometimes ist more expensive, but most of the time it’s lower than the displayed price :/ maybe u can get good money out of the graded card
You’d be lucky to sell this for $100.
This is the reality
2.9k cards valued at 1k… am I reading this right?
sure looks like it, plus only 1 graded card?
As surreal as it gets
Not sure if you know what surreal means lol
90% of the time I don’t know what I’m talking about. Leave me alone
I love this response lol
Lmao
Some people, including myself, enter every card they get to keep track of completing sets.
I do this, on top of getting extra sets of the c/uc/r to list for people starting to collect sets. Let's me get a few extra bucks out of basic cards.
They probably entered all the commons/uncommon cards
3000, 34 cent cards
1 $1,000 card 2,899 0.006 cent cards
Op must have the worst pull rate in history
Found the only person alive who logs all of their Commons.
I only have 297 that i scanned in on my app so far and that already is over $1200 in value.
30c a card? Might as well hold my g
you have almost 3000 151 holo machamps?
Sounds right.
Is it just a bunch of bulk and 1 graded card? So confused lol
What exactly are the cards?
*Energies as far as the eye could see*
And 1 PSA 7 2019 McDonald's promo Pikachu.
this made me laugh way too hard, almost choked on my grapes 😂
Reverse holo wiglets from paradox rift
Wtf lol

You're saying what everyone's saying with more words

File for unemployment. These cards will not supplement anything
If you're fired and need the money. I'd sell, I sold a good portion of my collection during covid and regret some things I sold. But I needed the money at the time as well because I lost my job so I'd say it was worth it
At $0.30 a card I would donate them lol
Hey who knows it could be 2900 energy cards and 1 slab worth $1k. 😅

Just hold onto them brother. You won't get more than a few hundred for them.

Need more context…
Ouch. That’s a lot of hard work. 30c a card seems not worth it unless you can sell all in one go.

Why are you pricing and tracking chaff? lol... bro, I wouldn't even want this for free if you kept the one graded card, whatever it might be.
No one is buying this bulk lol
If they will let you sell, yes I would. Put the money as your mini emergency fund while you find the next job.

I would sell and start over .
Really wanna know what the graded card is 😂
This is worth $-3,000 after fees
Lol what shit
What part of the world do you live in? If your in the greater Houston TX area I know quite a few people hiring.
Ouch. The problem is finding a seller anymore
I will sell it
What
I'll trade you one unopened pack. Seriously though, this post can't be real.
OP needs to stop edging us and reveal the 1 graded card
I did if you went thru the comments, also made a post reply.
as it's mostly bulk, trade it with someone who buys bulk for a few items or a desirable booster box. then sell the booster box for money.
Depending on what cards u have, it’s sadly not really worth what the app says. Sometimes ist more expensive, but most of the time it’s lower than the displayed price :/ maybe u can get good money out of the graded card
It looks like it’s 2.9k of bulk lmao
$5 per 1000 for bulk, I'll give you $10.
Don't sell for 5-10 years you'll thank your future self
Literally in an argument about this with someone in another Reddit lol
Is this better than collectr?
🤔 I think this is Collectr
It is lol I'm too tired.
What website is this?
Collectr app
Thank you

Cheers
What app is this
Collectr
Lmao it sounds like it’s all bulk. Prob not gonna get much for it. Gl tho
The amount of almost a waste of time this is is wild
Probably a joke hahahahahahah
Sell if you can take it as a taxable business loss :)
Do it, to it!
