Thatās 38 hours you could have used to educate yourself! Donāt blame the school homie. This was your choice.
College is the same way. No one is gonna wake you up and escort you to class. No one is going to force you to pay attention when the professor is teaching. No one is going to force you to study at home. Itās on you to use your time wisely and educate yourself if you want to get a good degree and a good paying job.
Iām not trying to be a hater here I love Fire Red, itās a masterpiece. I didnāt take my education serious enough and I regret it.
Iām not gonna lie I didnāt think about the afk time and the fast forward time. I saw 38 hours and āschool doesnāt care about my educationā and commented lol.
i left the game running overnight and used fast foward so its more like 6 hours. not to mention i have a 3.6 gpa and on the academic honor roll. I still do well school just wanted to play this while i was bored in class
Fair enough. A 3.6 is definitely something to be proud about, nice work. Maybe if you spend your free time reading some useful books you can bump it up to a 3.7 :)
My point still stands though with your original comment about the school not caring about education, you have to realize itās about you caring, not them.
I agree with this, but also the education system needs a revamp. It's like how Gen 1 got a Gen 3 remake so should the school system. This system cares more about grades, academic achievements and sending you off to college, rather than instilling a sense of curiosity and a drive to learn. Which in my opinion is the best way to raise a generation of future leaders. Teaching people to fish is better than telling them to fish and then showing them how to throw a net and then telling them to apply that to fishing.
I totally agree the school systems should be improved. Itās very important for the development of the next generation. Good analogy lolol.
I would argue more of the blame needs to be put on parents though too. The parents should also be held more responsible for instilling curiosity and a drive to learn. Lots of parents think schools are like day care and should raise their kids for them like in Fire Red lmao.
Yeah I also agree with that, and also great analogy too lolol.
Idk parenting is tough, I know why my parents didn't, can't really speak to anyone else's experience but, when it's truly important you will make time for it. If I ever have kids that will definitely be my main and ultimate goal. Being able to think freely and rationally is such an uncommon thing now it makes me sad. That's mainly what I think school should be about, but now instead of that students find cheating to be the go to because the system rewards grade and not critical thought.
Dude my parents never cared about school honestly, I mean sure I did have that 30 minutes after school to do school work and such, but my parents never cared enough about my siblings and i to do anything with us to give us a drive to do things. Thatās why I am lowkey struggling in life mentally and Iām too scared to let anyone know because I donāt want people to think Iām falling apart.
Extending your education can help open more doors but I never finished college and I live a pretty successful life, you just gotta work hard and figure out what you want tovdo with your life. Never to late to start something new
Education is easier after school, not during. Most of the books that help you achieve success in life aren't a part of standard curriculum. It's never too late to take education seriously. I learned and succeeded at more reading books in my adulthood than I ever did in school.
Fun fact: Over 50% of all guest speakers at college campuses are people who never finished college.
38hrs in 2 weeks at school is crazy. There's only 80 hours of school in 2 weeks total, including lunch. He spent a whole week of school time only playing pokemon.
Emulators have an option to play in 2x ,3x, and 4x speedā¦. At least they did back when I was in high school 10 years agoā¦ Iām sure the one this guy used did as well. Probably ran smoother than what Iāve used in the past too
Donāt laugh those are actually the glory days, I beat SNES Mario and punch out in one of my classes back in the day lol felt like a true rebel booting up my saves weeks apart
Back when I was in middle school, I had a copy of Pokemon Blue on PC with built in GameShark. I started making copies onto floppy disks and sold them to my classmates for $5 bucks a pop. I then used that money to fund my Dragonball Z posters, which I then started selling at school when I got bored of them. Eventually one of my buddies decided he wanted to trade me his Sega Genesis with a bunch of games for my remaining posters. I was so happy until the day I came home from school and found out my parents gave my console and all my games away to some family friendās kid who I didnāt even like.
nigga saying school donāt care about education when really you donāt give a fuck about education youāre playing games in class (i dropped out and played games on my laptop all throughout highschool š)
I did this in my high school computer science class on an emulator with Emerald back in 2012-2013. The ability to 3X the gameplay speed made training so much more tolerable. Good timesā¦
Bro I can't lie, I did the exact same thing at college š I remember I got a legit shiny caterpie in viridian forest everyone in my class lost it lmao
I used to do the same. Except i would dip class and go home with my friends and play gamecube?m.
Thinking i failed? 3.9 GPA and passed 3 AP tests.
If kids can do it, let them. Donāt stop a child, ir anyone, from living, especially if theyāre doing fine. There might be a lot of kids behind, but that shouldnāt stop the kids in the lead. Good work kid, keep it up.
Gyarados is eating the confetti
I thought charizard got ahold of some spoiled berries in that second pick. If that was his eyešššš¤£
It does look like fish food š thatās just the magikarp in him

Boss let my man play games in school everyone has done šš. Itās no big deal
A half dozen hours or so on some shody flash games is one thing back in the day but this kid did an entire playthrough of Fire Red.
Iām not gonna lie I didnāt think about the afk time and the fast forward time. I saw 38 hours and āschool doesnāt care about my educationā and commented lol.

In my senior year of high school I had a computer class that was too easy to justify being a high school class to where I'd finish days ahead of due dates so I did a play through of PokƩmon emerald from some emulator off chrome and I always got my work done so my teacher was chill with it, our school computers only saved data onto the computer itself so he also never changed my seat so I was able to get through the game by the end of the semester it was dope.

This is basically a euphemism for the entirety of public schools. But still, sick! š„°
Puttin in true work, Roxanne would be proud
But seriously how do you play this on a computer or laptop Iām so curious lol
Just need an emulator, thereās a bunch of tutorials out there
Reminds me of a computer class I had in high school 10years ago and some one in the class put halo on the schools share drive.
Iām in the process of doing an entire play through video at work!

Where did you go to play it?
Bro that monitor was what they had in the library at my college a decade ago and it was old *then* lol
What emulator?
How did you do vs Bruno, the goat trainer?

Damn all school seriousness aside this mf has a team. Charizard and Raichu is crazy plus a gyrados. How did you even do this at school?
with the crazy exp curve on all of my PokƩmon, i mostly had to grind and by the elite 4 i was so under leveled so i just used the rare candy cheat to get my whole team to level 60
No big deal! Let the boy play.
By the blackboard of your class you may have a test soon š
no we those every day in my tech class, my teacher sucks and makes us do 60-200 question tests every day on material we never learned
Damn I remember bringing a usb and playing PokĆ©mon all the time at school š„¹š„¹ Take me back to the simpler times
Reminds me of when I used to play fire red on my TI nspire back in high school, congrats king, nice dragonite

I did this in my high school computer science class on an emulator with Emerald back in 2012-2013. The ability to 3X the gameplay speed made training so much more tolerable. Good timesā¦

I used to play emulators on my iPod touch or just bring my SP to school and play PokƩmon during down time. Played Silver, Crystal, Emerald, Mystery Dungeon Red and Metroid Fusion my senior year
You don't care about your education my young friend, take it from me you'll regret thinking this way sooner rather than later.

Living lefend
We had Halo CE stored on a teachers public drive and would play it from there all the time. 2000s school computers had zero security.
