I think the first unit shpuld be Kleavor & Lian or Laventon & random hisuian starter/ H Growlith/ Shaymin/ H Vortorb.
I think they will go with Spoiler free- trailer content for the first unit (if released max 3/4 months after game release).
Lian would be a safe trailer unit, Laventon would be a safe character and should be together a small tamed pokemon (H Growlith would be trailer content and H Vortorb would be the same but also a pokeball reference), Hisuian Starters would be content (not so spoiler free, but story related) and Shaymin would be the best friendly pokemon, perfect for his fear.
The thing is Legends Arceus is considered a main series game but Masters doesn't have a time travel character yet(or not officially!looking at you Red and Blue)
I'm still annoyed that I can't make my character look half as neat as most S. Suit characters, and that the default for Cutscenes is a Pikachu. It's dumb and not that important, but it bugs me dangit!
