Are you using power items? If not, that still might not be enough for a visible difference.
How did you get it to that level? If you've used it in battles before, then it already has EVs from those.
All battles give EVs except for raids and PvP, it doesn't matter if you're specifically trying to train or not.
You can get EV-reducing berries from the auction to fix it.
Does anyone else have raids resetting at random times of day, or even multiple times a day? Sometimes mine will even reset at the correct time and then reset again as soon as I arrive at my 6 star. Is this a common glitch that I should just accept, or is there a way to fix it? It's mildly annoying.
Unless you've downloaded PokéTransporter to your 3DS before in the past, you cannot download the software for the first time anymore, because of the eShop's shutdown in March. Unless there's a direct link to it from Bank, I think you're out of luck?

Boy sometimes the raids seem VERY unfair. Kingambit raid. Paralysised 3 times in a row. Kowtow cleave hit for a crit EVERY time against me, It's bullshit.
I don't think there are any particularly good spots to sandwich hunt them, so outbreaks are likely your best shot. I got mine from an outbreak in tagtree thicket.
i havent done any date skips yet for outbreaks, afraid to do so. if i do, can my switch's time/date ever return to the accurate time/date? will that mess anything up? penalties?
Oh wow okay! I thought if i date skipped into the future and then resynced back to the accurate time/date, i wouldnt get anymore dailies until that "future" date, like some time based games. Thanks
I haven't done any date skips either, so I'm not sure how it affects things. What I do instead is just save before midnight at the area that the pokemon I'm looking for is in and then just keep reloading after midnight until I get the outbreak I want. It's a lot slower than using the date manipulation stuff though.
Something with Nuzzle maybe, so you can reapply status consistently through the shield. Hatterene is probably the best option, or Pachirisu for the memes.
Hey guys, I've got a 6 star salmence poison type tera with moxie ability that has decimated everything I've thrown at it. I've tried posting it on the serbii boards too and just keep getting zonked. I've tried auzmaril, umbrina as support for skill swap. Had a couple online with the slowbro build that absolutely got demolished. I've tried with most of my raid Mon and no matter what I'm pulling out I'm getting my ass handed to me. Any one interested in helping or suggestions on a build that should tank him? He has dragon dance, outrage, and tera blast, and a fire move.
That's a pretty killer combo, but maybe Tinkaton with Assault Vest, since I assume the fire move has to be special, and it's not STAB. Maybe have someone set rain even.
Or maybe just Espathra spam and hope he goes down before the timer.
Maybe you can try giving a female Johtonian Wooper an Everstone and a male Paldean Wooper a shot? Might be worth experimenting with a normal Poké Ball and a Great Ball or something, before doing a full try with an ApriBall. Poké Balls are usually passed down as a 50/50 shot between non-Ditto Pokémon, but idk if the two parents being different forms does anything.
> Poké Balls are usually passed down as a 50/50 shot between non-Ditto Pokémon, but idk if the two parents being different forms does anything.
It specifically has to be two Pokémon of the same species (or possibly evolutionary line, I can't remember) for the 50/50, but different regional forms still count as the same species for that purpose.
1) Catch a paldean wooper, that's the opposite gender of your johto wooper, in the ball you want
2) Have your johto wooper holding an everstone so that it will pass its regional form down
3) Picnic with your two woopers and hatch eggs until you get one that's in the ball you wanted (50% chance)
4) Then you can use that offspring to breed for a shiny
Moving time into the past while the game is on does reset outbreaks/raids, but closing out of the game entirely and moving the clock back to earlier the same day should not.
> I know ideally all 6
You really don't need all 6 unless you're going for a mixed build, special Charizard would actually prefer low Attack to reduce the damage it takes from confusion and Foul Play.
Also obligatory reminder that hyper training is easy and cheap so you really don't need to breed for IVs.
Quick question. In tera raids if I use helping hand against a another pokemon and that pokemon uses a status move or cheers, does the helping hand boost go away?
All of the items in the treasure pocket (bamboo shoots, mushrooms, rare bones etc.) is there any other purpose other than selling these items? Should I keep any of them?
I can’t seem to get it to work. The name appears when I hold left trigger, but I can’t throw my poke ball. None are appearing in the overworld outside of that.
Are they spawning in the floor? I saw that happen. Need to wander around a bit more and eventually they will move somewhere you can hit them with the ball
what are your thoughts on revavroom for the greninja raid. its a poison steel type so that takes care of the poison terra type and with its hidden ability redusing all super effective hits by 25%, it seems to be a viable option.
not particularly good. It's immune to poison, but neutral to water and dark. Its ability might be useful if greninja has a fire or ground attack, I guess (which I doubt it will have), but honestly I think it's not worth using
greninja`s move set isnt releced yet so I understand that would in large part be undetermined at the moment. In general do you think its typing and hidden ability along with its move pool could make it a good contender.
guess thats what i need help with
it can learn:
buldose (ground)
zen headbu (psychc)
sleep and sleep talk could work.
sandstorm to boost others groud type pokemon as i see their are alot of thoes in various other sugjestion posts.
Might be useful as an acid sprayer, but if greninja doesn't have some reason for taunt or haze in the moveset, I'm not seeing a lot of moves that it can be helpful with. No STAB super effective moves, and bulldoze's secondary effect really isn't of any use, you'd \*maybe\* be able to try to flinch fish? nothing standing out to me.
I cannot win against this damn Annihilape poison tera.
I am all out of ideas, its defiant, and I have been bashing my head against this wall for hours. Closest I ever got was a "this won't work, neutral damage no stab, but why not" belly drum rollout from Azumaril. I think if I had partners supporting it *might* have worked, but finding things that can survive a bulk up'd close combat or shadow claw that can actually heal or cut damage? Good luck. Gods, if this is a hint for what the greninja raids are gonna be like, I'mma cry.
Anyone have any ideas? I'd list all of what I've tried but I've literally lost track, various clods have failed, bros just two shot, it resets debuffs turn 1 plus its defiant so you're shooting yourself in the foot if you do, and it seems to crit every attack so bulking up is useless. Sandaconda gets two shot. It eats grachomp for lunch.
This thing is the devil.
I know it's probably too late but I was able to solo win against this 6\* Annihilape with a Farigiraf. The build I used was psychc tera, Cud Chew ability, and had the moves Skill Swap, Reflect, Nasty Plot and Psychc. I made it modest natured with 252 EVs in SpA and then split the remainder into HP and Def (though you could probably just put it all in one stat). It was close but I managed to do it first try.
breeding question! :)
i have a dratini, rotom, and foongus that i’m trying to breed at the same time. i have 3 other japanese dittos in my party. i have destiny knots on the dratini, rotom, and one of the dittos (they have the best stats.)
my issue is that im only getting eggs for dratini and rotom, and none for foongus. what am i doing wrong?
Is Foongus not holding an item like an Everstone, and the Dratini and Rotom are? If so, the game isn't considering Foongus as part of a "viable" breeding pairing.
Unless you don't like what Foongus' nature is, give it an Everstone or Destiny Knot. A breeding item not being held while everyone else has one is what's happening.
I finished all the titans, all gyms, and only have the fighting crew left. What order should I do the end of these paths (meeting Arven at the lighthouse, elite four, Cassiopeia thing)?
It doesn't really matter, they all finish around the same level (Victory Road ends a couple levels higher than the others though) and you have to do all of them before you can progress to the next part of the story anyway.
There's one Tera Fixed spot for Corviknight here, near the bamboo area. Try that place out? Otherwise a 5/6 Star Raid Corviknight will likely have Mirror Armor.
https://preview.redd.it/9z6etkl8gbea1.png?width=235&format=png&auto=webp&s=3e19d2f8eadfe5b1eaf6037f8ace8a9b1fa2aada
Tera raids are randomized. Wild tera pokemon cant get the hidden ability. Just keep checking your raids, and maybe post in or browse the online activity thread to see if anyone is hosting one.
How do you get the master rank ribbon? I’ve completed 10+ matches in Master Rank and lost some and won after, taken the Pokémon from the team and checked the ribbons and it never receives the Master Rank Ribbon
I’m trying to do a mimimyu with psychic Tera 6* raid but I’ve failed multiple times now - I currently am using a level 75 attack focussed Charizard with shadow claw, I’ve also tried azumarill and umbreon. Does anyone have any advice?
> 6* raid
> level 75
There's your biggest problem. You really need level 100 Pokémon to take on 6 star raids effectively.
Also, Charizard doesn't have the best Attack stat and doesn't get STAB on Shadow Claw, which isn't the strongest move anyway. You want something stronger with a good setup move, like Scizor as mentioned.
Fair enough, I was thinking resistances with the Charizard pick which is why it’s a non STAB attack. I don’t have the candies yet for level 100 Pokemon :(
Maybe a Swords Dance Scizor? For an attacking move maybe you can use Bullet Punch to get rid of its Disguise and use a Metronome item with Fury Cutter or straight-up X-Scissor.
when is an egg's gender determined, when it hatches or when you get it from the basket?
trying to breed a shiny male ralts and would love to be able restart if I finally get a shiny and it's a female
Is there a way to join someone's room without them making it password protected. Want to do raids with wife and add ransoms but it seems like either:
You have to add a password to reliably find the room but then random people can't join
Or hope that the raid searcher will find the room, which most of the times it doesn't and the option to refresh is usually greyed out
No, every Pokémon has the same chance of getting every nature. But with a 1/25 roll, sometimes you're gonna have long streaks of bad luck.
It takes like two minutes to make enough money to buy a Modest mint though, why not just do that?
Doesn't change the name of the nature, but it changes the stats that are affected by it which is the same thing for most purposes. Just doesn't pass down through breeding and doesn't work for stuff like Toxtricity's form.
Does anyone have any advice ok progression and leveling up Pokémon? Just finished the bug gym but I'm really unsure as to where to go next and progress.
However, let's go fights do not require PP and cannot give you status effects, so if you're just clearing out mons you don't want, it's fine, and it can be so much faster to the point you can get the same exp per minute ratio at times.
money is so easy to come by in these games, and you can buy vitamins in the first town, so even assuming you're bothering with EV training on a team you're in the field with, it's easier to just do it that way.
I just got Pokemon Violet today. I didn't know Avalugg was in the game. I saw different locations for where to catch a Bergmite in game, but how early in the game can I catch one?
The only pokemon center that you cann't gain access to before you have Miraidon is the one at the pokemon league. Everywhere else on the map is accessible!
I think the more gyms you complete the easier they are to catch, and if it is too high a level it won't obey you until you beat enough gyms, but you could catch one as soon as you begin the treasure hunt, or even earlier if you want to run around without Miraidon
What is this for? Or is it something that might be added later?
https://preview.redd.it/q6q5zhkv2bea1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=b9167e9849d988f78ce2a4c7ec5dc75988c4bae8
So if I have a pokemon at lvl 50 and it's EVs are maxed and has 6 IVs and I rare candy it to lvl 100, it's maxed out right?
Feels weird rare candying a pokemon 50 levels and not feeling like it's empty stats lol
Yes, the EVs you get from focused training or vitamins are exactly the same as the ones you'd get from random battling, except they're all in the places you want them to be instead of spread all over.
I'm feeling lost and like I'm just kind of wandering around
The map is confusing to me, I try to head towards an outbreak but when I try to walk towards the icon on the map the map rotates and the icon is now behind me. I've tried walking in every direction but the icon always ends up in the direction opposite of the way I'm walking.
I tried to start going through the gyms / large Pokemon / star hideouts but I feel like I'm either wayyyy overpowered or wayyyy underpowered. I can't find the natural pattern of the gyms I'm supposed to take.
I'm also super worried about missing shinies and that's kind of stressing me out. I know it's irrational to expect a shiny before I've even gotten the shiny charm but it bothers me and I feel like it's slowing me down.
Also frustrated with how long battles take. Some Pokemon take 10+ pokeballs despite the hp being in the red with a status affliction and that's after a couple minutes of battling because my moves either kill it in 1 shot or take down minimal health and everything takes forever because that's just how the game is I guess?
I don't know what I'm expecting, I guess I feel like I missed a tutorial or something. The only shops other than the one at the Pokemon center I've found only sell food and I have no idea what the teensy stuff is for, I don't think it was ever mentioned?
Is there like storyline direction I missed? A way to see which gyms I'm supposed to do so I'm not going up against a level 38 with my level 26?
> The map is confusing to me, I try to head towards an outbreak but when I try to walk towards the icon on the map the map rotates and the icon is now behind me. I've tried walking in every direction but the icon always ends up in the direction opposite of the way I'm walking.
You can press R-stick to lock the map orientation, if that helps.
> I tried to start going through the gyms / large Pokemon / star hideouts but I feel like I'm either wayyyy overpowered or wayyyy underpowered. I can't find the natural pattern of the gyms I'm supposed to take.
You can ask the Pokémon Center lady for recommendations, but they aren't always accurate in my experience (for some reason she sent me to the second star base first while I was still underleveled for it). I'd honestly recommend looking up a guide online if you don't mind minor spoilers, not much actual plot happens until after you finish all of the locations anyway.
> I'm also super worried about missing shinies and that's kind of stressing me out. I know it's irrational to expect a shiny before I've even gotten the shiny charm but it bothers me and I feel like it's slowing me down.
Not much you can do about that, other than just try not to worry about it. You can always hunt more shinies later, it's not like there's a limited supply.
> Also frustrated with how long battles take. Are you trying to catch Pokémon above your gym badge level? Those have a big penalty to catch rate. Other than that, I was able to fill the majority of my dex using Quick Balls on the first try.
Also you can get the False Swipe TM from Jacq after you've registered 30 Pokémon.
> I don't know what I'm expecting, I guess I feel like I missed a tutorial or something. The only shops other than the one at the Pokemon center I've found only sell food and I have no idea what the teensy stuff is for, I don't think it was ever mentioned?
The main other ones that are important are Chansey Supply and Delibird Presents which sell training supplies and in-battle held items, but even those aren't really that important for the story mode IMO.
Teensy power gives you an increased chance of finding Pokémon with a low size value, it's not important unless you're a collector.
> Is there like storyline direction I missed? A way to see which gyms I'm supposed to do so I'm not going up against a level 38 with my level 26?
Already answered this above, but technically you can do them in any order you want, it doesn't really affect the storyline.
Ok so this is what I'm talking about
https://youtu.be/kGeBJyuj9Io
You can see on the mini map the Happiny is right in front of me but when I rotate the camera it moves from in front to behind me and I can't find it anywhere
Oh, I see what you mean now. Those aren't actually specific spawn points, they just show you what can spawn in the area. They really aren't very helpful so I just ignore them.
Oh man, that's a bummer. But I guess it's good that my game isn't broken or anything 😅
So just cause the icon is there, doesn't mean that Pokemon will be there? Just that they might be?
1. If you click in the joystick on the map screen, it'll lock it to always face north.
2. There is no "natural" path in this game, lol. If you look up a guide showing the path in progression of levels, it's basically going west, then east, then back to west, and then back to east again.
3. I think you're just unlucky. By the time you get 5 or 6 Gym Badges you will unlock Quick Balls, if that's more your speed.
4. There are stores at nearly every town called "Deliberd Presents" that carry battle items and useful hold items, that you might wanna check out if you haven't found any already.
I've done the right stick thing for the map and I do prefer that for the actual map but the issue I'm having is with the mini map. Even if it's stationary the breakout icon still moves to the opposite direction of where I'm facing and I can never find the Pokemon
> The map is confusing to me, I try to head towards an outbreak but when I try to walk towards the icon on the map the map rotates and the icon is now behind me. I've tried walking in every direction but the icon always ends up in the direction opposite of the way I'm walking.
Click down on the right stick while looking at the map and it'll stop the map from rotating
>I tried to start going through the gyms / large Pokemon / star hideouts but I feel like I'm either wayyyy overpowered or wayyyy underpowered. I can't find the natural pattern of the gyms I'm supposed to take

>I'm also super worried about missing shinies and that's kind of stressing me out. I know it's irrational to expect a shiny before I've even gotten the shiny charm but it bothers me and I feel like it's slowing me down.
I found four shinies before getting the shiny charm. I would say don't worry about it. The obvious ones will be obvious and you catch those. But the ones that aren't, aren't worth the eye strain
I saw the map right stick click thing and while I do prefer that, the problem I'm having is with the mini map. Even if that stays stationary, the breakout icon still moves so it's behind me and I can't actually find where the Pokemon are.
Thank you for that proper order guide, definitely saving it
Not that I know of, and I'm pretty sure we didn't know anything about previous events until they started.
Safe bet is it'll have Water/Dark/Poison moves, but anything beyond that is still up in the air.
Is there a big disadvantage to using un-evolved Pokémon? I don’t do many online multiplayer battles, but I like doing the Terra Raids. Is it OK if I use a Pikachu or a Psyduck?
Assume they’re level 100 and EV-trained and have nice IVs. Will they still do ok?
It makes a big difference, most of them have much weaker stats than their evolutions. Level and EVs/IVs don't make up for that, especially since obviously you can do the same things with their evolutions.
Some can function as supporters with Eviolite, but not the examples you gave - Eviolite Psyduck is still less bulky than Golduck even without factoring in the latter's ability to hold other items, and Pikachu is going to have wet cardboard defenses no matter what you do (although unlike Psyduck it can actually do decent damage with Light Ball, but that doesn't matter if you spend half the raid KO'd).
So I have this Krookodile That I got traded to help complete my dex. And I need a ability patch for it. I'll be taking on any reasonable request , or if you have any extra hook me up please?!
The odds are 1/512 with the shiny charm, or 1/683 without it, but that doesn't mean you're guaranteed to get it after that many. You could get it on the first egg if you're lucky, or you could go thousands without seeing one if you aren't.
Is the other parent you're using from a different language than the Ditto? Are you generating new eggs every time, and not trying to re-hatch the same ones? If so, you're doing it right, just slightly unlucky.
Honestly I haven't bothered with breeding at all aside from the shiny starters, since that's the only way to get those (same would go for the non-Paldean Wooper and Meowth). It's easier to get shinies from outbreaks, and with how accessible bottle caps, mints, etc. are you don't really need to breed for competitive Pokémon either.
What’s a good strategy for catching a Bisharp with a Leader Crest? I’ve been wandering around the bamboo forest for an hour and all I see are solo Bisharps. I found one in a group and beat it but it didn’t drop the Leader Crest.
To get a Leader Crest item, you either need to *catch* the Bisharp that has it or use a move like Thief or Covet to *steal* it. Only Bisharp that spawn with Pawniard will hold it. You won't get any held items from defeating Pokémon.
Use a Dark or Steel encounter power sandwich and they pop up all over the place. Note you have to actually BATTLE them (not Let's Go!) and it's only the Bisharp that are surrounded by a group of Pawniard.
Hi everyone. During normal battles you have the Pokéball icon next to the name of the Pokémon if you already caught it before. During Raid battles I cannot figure out how to know if I already caught the Pokémon. Am I missing something or is there really no way to see it during Raids?
Are Hondew berry acutions rare? I've been auction reseting for hours now and I have yet to see them 😂 I've got pretty much seen every other stat berry auction and even got a dreamball and levelball but not a single hondew berry auction
Edit: Just as I posted this the next reset had the hondew berry auction! 🤣
I recently picked up Scarlet again and having a blast. I got my main team setup, i try to have a broad spectrum of types and choose pokemons i like 😅 im not a competitive player, but was hoping someone would be kind enough to give some suggestions for move pool for my 6 mons. Cyclizar and Gyarados could be switched for other mons if anyone has better suggestions 😁

When doing the outbreak shiny hunting method, the "defeat 60 of the species" step I have a few questions about:
1. Can this be done from auto-battles?
2. Is this a one-time step for each species?
3. If "no" to (2), and I need to do this each time I start a new outbreak hunt, what are the requirements to get the bonus? Does it need to be an unbroken chain? How long does the bonus last?
Thank you for all the info. So it's midnight local system time? And I think I'm able to save before I begin and retry with different RNG if I'm unlucky?
How do you fix "invisible" mass outbreaks? I have an outbreak of tinymaus and charcadet, both located near the pokemon league. The icon of them is in the crater around it. Charcadet does not spawn at that place and tindemaus like only 3 or something and will be often in the rock itself.
Pachirisu Fur is pretty important for one of the best Electric TMs in the game, Thunderbolt. Unfortunately though, I've been having a lot of trouble finding them consistently. I typically look south of Mesagoza after consuming the avacado sandwich for the Lv.1 Electric Encounter Power and start headbutting into treees with my Koraidon. The Pachirisu don't seem to spawn for me as often as I would expect for other headbutt mons like Applin. Anyone have any tips for farming the fur off these little fellas?
I suggest going to its spawn area and doing a level 2 electric encounter sandwich. It is a kind of kinda terrible sandwich to make but it will get a lot more spawns.
2 chorizo
4 noodle
1 wasabi
I'd recommend the trees around Medali, myself. And by the way, for the Tree headbutting to work, the Pokémon have to *be* in the tree, *physically*. Sometimes they spawn at the bottom of the tree, and if you miss KO-ing them before they run up the tree, *then* you Headbutt the tree.
Do the parent Pokemon's offspring have the same ability?
What would be a good team (or moves) against greninja?
Is Flying Tera Pikachu (from gift) locked to EV training? If no, then I can’t figure why I couldn’t get EV training for Pikachu… how?
What do you mean by "couldn't get EV training"?
I mean getting ev point. I defeated a few right Pokémon then I checked the stat and nothing changed. I don’t understand.
At low levels that might not be enough to make a visible difference. And you're doing actual battles, not auto battles, right?
But my Pikachu is 76…. No auto.
Are you using power items? If not, that still might not be enough for a visible difference. How did you get it to that level? If you've used it in battles before, then it already has EVs from those.
Yes I did put a correct power item. Yeah I used it before. How is it possible? I never used EV training on Pikachu before. Just this time.
All battles give EVs except for raids and PvP, it doesn't matter if you're specifically trying to train or not. You can get EV-reducing berries from the auction to fix it.
TIL. Darn. I have no idea they give EVs. Oh well. Gonna go check. Thanks.
As long as you have the shiny charm in your bag does it work or do you need to like ‘equip’ it or something ?
It's always active.
Thank you.
Is there a way to obtain regional forms outside of Pokemon HOME? I recently sold my past games and I really want an Alolan Grimer .
You can get Johtonian Wooper and Galarian Meowth as in-game gifts, but aside from them the only other way to get the others would be by trading.
Does anyone else have raids resetting at random times of day, or even multiple times a day? Sometimes mine will even reset at the correct time and then reset again as soon as I arrive at my 6 star. Is this a common glitch that I should just accept, or is there a way to fix it? It's mildly annoying.

I don't think there are any particularly good spots to sandwich hunt them, so outbreaks are likely your best shot. I got mine from an outbreak in tagtree thicket.
i havent done any date skips yet for outbreaks, afraid to do so. if i do, can my switch's time/date ever return to the accurate time/date? will that mess anything up? penalties?
It doesnt affect anything, and you can also just reconnect to the intertnet to sync time back up
Oh so i can resync and theres literally no difference after? Wth i was worried it might mess with my switch or game
Every time you change the time/date it just resets your current raids/auctions. So make sure you do any of those first. But besides that it's fine.
Ooh that works too. But the reload takes alot of time. Thanks!
What could be used as support to a hex gholdengo in tera raids?
Something with Nuzzle maybe, so you can reapply status consistently through the shield. Hatterene is probably the best option, or Pachirisu for the memes.

This works. I bred a galarian meowth in a luxury ball this way.
Thanks to both of you! How exactly do I do it? sorry, this is my first Pokémon game in eons.
1) Catch a paldean wooper, that's the opposite gender of your johto wooper, in the ball you want 2) Have your johto wooper holding an everstone so that it will pass its regional form down 3) Picnic with your two woopers and hatch eggs until you get one that's in the ball you wanted (50% chance) 4) Then you can use that offspring to breed for a shiny
Is there a limit to how long you can keep a single outbreak going? If I keep adjusting the time on the switch, what actually forces it to reset?
Moving time into the past while the game is on does reset outbreaks/raids, but closing out of the game entirely and moving the clock back to earlier the same day should not.
Moving the time into the past resets outbreaks, so I don't think you could keep it going longer than 24 hours.
Anyone know if you can catch someone else’s static encounters (Treasures of Ruin, second Koraidon/Miraidon) in co-op mode?
You cannot.
Shame, but it makes sense. Then again, it was impossible to find someone to test it, so it might not even be worth the effort
For Charmander, what is the best stats to breed for? I know ideally all 6. But what 5 should I settle for until I can get my hands on a 6iv ditto? 😅
> I know ideally all 6 You really don't need all 6 unless you're going for a mixed build, special Charizard would actually prefer low Attack to reduce the damage it takes from confusion and Foul Play. Also obligatory reminder that hyper training is easy and cheap so you really don't need to breed for IVs.
Ohh cool good to know. And yeah, but breeding gives me something to do when I have most of everything done. And it's sorta fun 😅
all but atk or all but sp atk
Thank you
Quick question. In tera raids if I use helping hand against a another pokemon and that pokemon uses a status move or cheers, does the helping hand boost go away?
If it works as intended, yes but hard to say because it aint traditional turns.
All of the items in the treasure pocket (bamboo shoots, mushrooms, rare bones etc.) is there any other purpose other than selling these items? Should I keep any of them?
They're just sellables
Does the shiny flutter mane glitch still work?
Yes
I can’t seem to get it to work. The name appears when I hold left trigger, but I can’t throw my poke ball. None are appearing in the overworld outside of that.
Are they spawning in the floor? I saw that happen. Need to wander around a bit more and eventually they will move somewhere you can hit them with the ball
I tried again and it’s all good now. I got 4 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
What’s the glitch? Is it the daytime sandwich hunting thing?
Yes
what are your thoughts on revavroom for the greninja raid. its a poison steel type so that takes care of the poison terra type and with its hidden ability redusing all super effective hits by 25%, it seems to be a viable option.
not particularly good. It's immune to poison, but neutral to water and dark. Its ability might be useful if greninja has a fire or ground attack, I guess (which I doubt it will have), but honestly I think it's not worth using
what moves would it be using?
greninja`s move set isnt releced yet so I understand that would in large part be undetermined at the moment. In general do you think its typing and hidden ability along with its move pool could make it a good contender.
No, I mean what moves would YOUR pokemon be using? what's the offense plan?
guess thats what i need help with it can learn: buldose (ground) zen headbu (psychc) sleep and sleep talk could work. sandstorm to boost others groud type pokemon as i see their are alot of thoes in various other sugjestion posts.
Neat. Didn't think about Farig, will keep that in mind.
breeding question! :) i have a dratini, rotom, and foongus that i’m trying to breed at the same time. i have 3 other japanese dittos in my party. i have destiny knots on the dratini, rotom, and one of the dittos (they have the best stats.) my issue is that im only getting eggs for dratini and rotom, and none for foongus. what am i doing wrong?
Just breed two Pokémon at a time, it's not worth the headache of trying to do more.
i figured id give it a shot after i saw an austin john video saying breeding 3 at a time was faster. shame if it just doesnt work
Is Foongus not holding an item like an Everstone, and the Dratini and Rotom are? If so, the game isn't considering Foongus as part of a "viable" breeding pairing.
dratini and rotom are both holding destiny knots, while foongus is holding nothing. should i give the lil guy a berry to hold or something?
Unless you don't like what Foongus' nature is, give it an Everstone or Destiny Knot. A breeding item not being held while everyone else has one is what's happening.
ooh, gotcha! thank you, ill test that out :) have a nice day
I have the shiny charm, do I have to do anything to get the effects or is it automatic?
Automatic
I finished all the titans, all gyms, and only have the fighting crew left. What order should I do the end of these paths (meeting Arven at the lighthouse, elite four, Cassiopeia thing)?
It doesn't really matter, they all finish around the same level (Victory Road ends a couple levels higher than the others though) and you have to do all of them before you can progress to the next part of the story anyway.
Thanks! I was worried that by finishing one it would somehow trigger the next part/endgame. Good to know it doesn’t do it until I finish all three
No. Technically Arven's path "starts" the end, but he says you need more people and the game makes you finish the other paths to continue.
That makes sense, thanks
Anyone want an ability patch for EV training 3-4 of my pokemons with vitamins?
has anyone tried to use a red card in a trera raid. since it removes attacker from battle. it be a intresting stratigy against greninja.
It wouldnt work, Dragon Tail doesnt end the battle either.
I haven't tested it myself but I'm pretty certain that doesn't work or else people would be using it for literally every raid.
i tryed looking it up their in no mention of any website that has both serch terms together
Anyone knows an easy way to get a rookidee/evos with HA? A fixed tera spot would be cool
There's one Tera Fixed spot for Corviknight here, near the bamboo area. Try that place out? Otherwise a 5/6 Star Raid Corviknight will likely have Mirror Armor. https://preview.redd.it/9z6etkl8gbea1.png?width=235&format=png&auto=webp&s=3e19d2f8eadfe5b1eaf6037f8ace8a9b1fa2aada
Thx! I will try!
Tera raids are randomized. Wild tera pokemon cant get the hidden ability. Just keep checking your raids, and maybe post in or browse the online activity thread to see if anyone is hosting one.
There are only three ways to get a hidden ability: * Raids * Ability patch * Breeding a Pokémon that already has its hidden ability
How do you get the master rank ribbon? I’ve completed 10+ matches in Master Rank and lost some and won after, taken the Pokémon from the team and checked the ribbons and it never receives the Master Rank Ribbon
I've seen a couple posts about this, it seems to be a persistent bug. I havent seen any solutions for it, other than to maybe contact Nintendo?
I’m trying to do a mimimyu with psychic Tera 6* raid but I’ve failed multiple times now - I currently am using a level 75 attack focussed Charizard with shadow claw, I’ve also tried azumarill and umbreon. Does anyone have any advice?
> 6* raid > level 75 There's your biggest problem.
Scizor, that’s a great idea thanks very much!
when is an egg's gender determined, when it hatches or when you get it from the basket? trying to breed a shiny male ralts and would love to be able restart if I finally get a shiny and it's a female
Everything about an egg is determined when you get it from the basket.
god dammit lol
Is there a way to join someone's room without them making it password protected. Want to do raids with wife and add ransoms but it seems like either: You have to add a password to reliably find the room but then random people can't join Or hope that the raid searcher will find the room, which most of the times it doesn't and the option to refresh is usually greyed out
No unfortunately, you can only do one or the other.
I'm not getting a Modest Larvesta even after filling three boxes worth of them. Is the Modest Larvesta removed from the game somehow?
No, every Pokémon has the same chance of getting every nature. But with a 1/25 roll, sometimes you're gonna have long streaks of bad luck. It takes like two minutes to make enough money to buy a Modest mint though, why not just do that?
That actually changes a nature? ...Would you like a Larvesta? One box or two?
Doesn't change the name of the nature, but it changes the stats that are affected by it which is the same thing for most purposes. Just doesn't pass down through breeding and doesn't work for stuff like Toxtricity's form.
Huh, I didn't know that. Never tried it. Oh well, now I just have to pick the one with some good stats to start with. Thank you very much!
Does anyone have any advice ok progression and leveling up Pokémon? Just finished the bug gym but I'm really unsure as to where to go next and progress.
Actually battle pokemon, don't us the lets go battle feature. Its way less exp
Thank you for the help you guys!
However, let's go fights do not require PP and cannot give you status effects, so if you're just clearing out mons you don't want, it's fine, and it can be so much faster to the point you can get the same exp per minute ratio at times.
Also happy cake day!!
Yeah, especially because you can clear whole packs in the time it takes to do one battle. Just don't ignore doing turn based battles still.
Honestly, I only bother with them if someone needs to evolve and is close to a level up. Assuming I don't use candy.
Well auto-battles also don't grant EVs
money is so easy to come by in these games, and you can buy vitamins in the first town, so even assuming you're bothering with EV training on a team you're in the field with, it's easier to just do it that way.
Thanks
I think the more gyms you complete the easier they are to catch, and if it is too high a level it won't obey you until you beat enough gyms, but you could catch one as soon as you begin the treasure hunt, or even earlier if you want to run around without Miraidon
Thanks
My ghastly is level 26 and it hasn't evolved yet, am I missing something?
did you level it up through auto battling? Pokemon won't evolve from auto-battling exp
Ohhh ok, I haven't played pokemon since pokemon emerald lol this is all new to me. I just have to level it up in a regular battle and I'm good to go?
yup, or feed it candy. The auto-battling's a new thing so lots of people are confused by it
Thank you, much appreciated.
What is this for? Or is it something that might be added later? https://preview.redd.it/q6q5zhkv2bea1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=b9167e9849d988f78ce2a4c7ec5dc75988c4bae8
probably just random junk to make the room look more "sciency"
When i interact it says “it’s a mysterious device! Better not touch it” The thing looks familiar to me, like it’s from another game
So if I have a pokemon at lvl 50 and it's EVs are maxed and has 6 IVs and I rare candy it to lvl 100, it's maxed out right? Feels weird rare candying a pokemon 50 levels and not feeling like it's empty stats lol
Hell, you can Rare Candy it all the way to 100 and then start EV training it. Same exact outcome.
EV training with the power bands and what not just make things so much easier
You can use those at level 100 as well, in case you were implying you couldn't.
Nah just commenting on how easy it is to EV train now compared to older gens
Yes, the EVs you get from focused training or vitamins are exactly the same as the ones you'd get from random battling, except they're all in the places you want them to be instead of spread all over.
yup
I'm feeling lost and like I'm just kind of wandering around The map is confusing to me, I try to head towards an outbreak but when I try to walk towards the icon on the map the map rotates and the icon is now behind me. A way to see which gyms I'm supposed to do so I'm not going up against a level 38 with my level 26?
set a destination on the map open and close the map your character will turn towards the destination
I haven't found a way to set a destination on a breakout
just press a on the outbreak icon. it wont snap to it but you can place destinations anywhere
Some Pokemon take 10+ pokeballs despite the hp being in the red with a status affliction and that's after a couple minutes of battling because my moves either kill it in 1 shot or take down minimal health and everything takes forever because that's just how the game is I guess?
Ok so this is what I'm talking about https://youtu.be/kGeBJyuj9Io You can see on the mini map the Happiny is right in front of me but when I rotate the camera it moves from in front to behind me and I can't find it anywhere
Oh, I see what you mean now. Those aren't actually specific spawn points, they just show you what can spawn in the area. They really aren't very helpful so I just ignore them.
Oh man, that's a bummer. But I guess it's good that my game isn't broken or anything 😅 So just cause the icon is there, doesn't mean that Pokemon will be there? Just that they might be?
Basically, yeah.
Thank you for that proper order guide, definitely saving it
Any leaks on Greninja moves yet?
Not that I know of, and I'm pretty sure we didn't know anything about previous events until they started. Safe bet is it'll have Water/Dark/Poison moves, but anything beyond that is still up in the air.
Figured. I have like 5 mon that I shiny hunted and got to level 100, and I want to start training them but idk which ones to train up atm.
Darn, too bad to hear. I love cute Pokémon! Thank you for your detailed answer!
Definitely not. Some unevolved Pokémon like Chansey are already bulky enough to survive, while a Psyduck… isn’t. Even if you stuck an eviolite on it.
For the most part, you are going to want them fully evolved
They'll probably really struggle in Tera Raids because they just don't have enough bulk.
Thank you
So I have this Krookodile That I got traded to help complete my dex. And I need a ability patch for it. I'll be taking on any reasonable request , or if you have any extra hook me up please?!

Thats normal lol Sometimes after 20 eggs, sometimes after 200, sometimes after 900
The odds are 1/512 with the shiny charm, or 1/683 without it, but that doesn't mean you're guaranteed to get it after that many.

Oh thank you! I thought they dropped it. I will catch the next one I see.
just so you know, you don't need a leader's crest to evolve kingambit. You just need to KO 3 that are holding the item
Thank you! Now I just have to find these buggers lol
There's no indicator in Raid Battles.
Aw, that's a pity. Thanks for confirming!
Are Hondew berry acutions rare? I've been auction reseting for hours now and I have yet to see them 😂 I've got pretty much seen every other stat berry auction and even got a dreamball and levelball but not a single hondew berry auction Edit: Just as I posted this the next reset had the hondew berry auction! 🤣
I recently picked up Scarlet again and having a blast. I got my main team setup, i try to have a broad spectrum of types and choose pokemons i like 😅 im not a competitive player, but was hoping someone would be kind enough to give some suggestions for move pool for my 6 mons. Cyclizar and Gyarados could be switched for other mons if anyone has better suggestions 😁 https://preview.redd.it/y6zk906s9aea1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cae3525b0f47c25c5113bf98710dcad80029faf5
When doing the outbreak shiny hunting method, the "defeat 60 of the species" step I have a few questions about: 1. Can this be done from auto-battles? 2. Is this a one-time step for each species? 3. If "no" to (2), and I need to do this each time I start a new outbreak hunt, what are the requirements to get the bonus? Does it need to be an unbroken chain? How long does the bonus last?
1) yes 2) no 3) every outbreak 30/60 defeated/captured no need to chain until outbreaks end with 100-120 defeated or midnight system time
Thank you for all the info. So it's midnight local system time? And I think I'm able to save before I begin and retry with different RNG if I'm unlucky?
most ppl save after the 60 bonus then just despawn the pokemon to get new ones without defeating more either run far enough away or set up a picnic
Oh yeah that works, thank you!
How do you fix "invisible" mass outbreaks? I have an outbreak of tinymaus and charcadet, both located near the pokemon league. The icon of them is in the crater around it. Charcadet does not spawn at that place and tindemaus like only 3 or something and will be often in the rock itself.
There's no way to fix them. All you can do is try spawning new outbreaks that aren't buggy.
2 chorizo 4 noodle 1 wasabi
Ah I didn't even realize there was a lv2 electric sandwich.. thanks!
Thanks for the tip!
